ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܘܐܬܐܣܪܘ ܥܡܐ ܕܠܐ ܪܕܐ

Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, you nation that has no shame,

ܥܕܠܐ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܥܘܪܐ ܕܥܒܪ ܘܥܕܠܐ ܬܐܬܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܚܡܬܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܥܕܠܐ ܢܐܬܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' drwgzh ywm' elykwn n'th' wedl' dmry' drwgzh khmth' elykwn th'th' wedl' debr ewr' 'yk thhwwn edl'
before the appointed time when the day passes as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Yahweh comes on you, before the day of Yahweh’s anger comes on you.

ܒܥܐܘܗܝ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܡܟܝ̈ܟܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܒܕܘ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܒܥܘ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܡܟܝܟܘܬܐ ܟܒܪ ܬܣܬܬܪܘܢ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' drwgzh bywm' thsththrwn kbr wmkykwth' zdyqwth' wbew dyn' webdw d're' mkykyh klkwn lmry' be'why
Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger.

ܡܛܠ ܕܥܐܙܐ ܫܒܝܩܬܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܘܐܫܩܠܘܢ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܠܐܫܕܘܕ ܒܛܗܪܐ ܢܕܒܪܘܢ ܘܥܩܪܘܢ ܬܬܥܩܪ
ththeqr weqrwn ndbrwn bThr' l'shdwd lkhbl' w'shqlwn thhw' shbyqth' de'z' mTl
For Gaza will be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation. They will drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron will be rooted up.

ܘܝ ܠܕܥܡܪܝܢ ܒܚܒܠ ܝܡܐ ܘܠܥܡܐ ܕܩܪ̈ܛܐ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠܝܟܝܢ ܟܢܥܢ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܕܦܠܫܬ̈ܝܐ ܘܐܘܒܕܟܝܢ ܡܢ ܝܬܒܐ
ythb' mn w'wbdkyn dplshthy' w're' knen elykyn dmry' pthgmh dqrT' wlem' ym' bkhbl ldemryn wy
Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! Yahweh’s word is against you, Canaan, the land of the Philistines. I will destroy you until there is no inhabitant.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܚܒܠ ܝܡܐ ܕܝܪ̈ܐ ܘܩܪ̈ܛܐ ܒܝܬ ܡܪܥܝܬܐ ܠܓܙܪ̈ܐ ܕܥܢܐ
den' lgzr' mreyth' byth wqrT' dyr' ym' khbl wnhw'
The sea coast will be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܚܒܠ ܝܡܐ ܠܫܪܟܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒܗܝܢ ܢܪܥܘܢ ܘܒ̈ܒܬܐ ܕܐܫܩܠܘܢ ܒܪܡܫܐ ܢܪܒܥܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܦܩܘܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ ܘܢܦܢܐ ܫܒܝܬܗܘܢ

The coast will be for the remnant of the house of Judah. They will find pasture. In the houses of Ashkelon, they will lie down in the evening, for Yahweh, their God, will visit them and restore them.

ܫܡܥܬ ܚܣܕܐ ܕܡܘܐܒ ܘܓܘܕܦܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܥܡܘܢ ܕܚܣܕܘ ܠܥܡܝ ܘܐܬܪܘܪܒܘ ܥܠ ܬܚܘܡܗܘܢ
thkhwmhwn el w'thrwrbw lemy dkhsdw emwn dbny wgwdp' dmw'b khsd' shmeth
I have heard the reproach of Moab and the insults of the children of Ammon, with which they have reproached my people and magnified themselves against their border.

ܡܛܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܚܝ ܐܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܡܘܐܒ ܐܝܟ ܣܕܘܡ ܬܗܘܐ ܘܒܢ̈ܝ ܥܡܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܥܡܘܪܐ ܕܐܬܚܒܠܬ ܢܨܒܬܗܝܢ ܘܐܒܕ ܡܠܘܚܗܝܢ ܘܗ̈ܘܝ ܚܒܠܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܫܪܟܗ ܕܥܡܝ ܢܒܙܘܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܐܫܬܚܪ ܡܢ ܥܡܝ ܢܐܪܬܘܢ ܐܢܝܢ
'nyn n'rthwn emy mn d'shthkhr wmdm 'nyn nbzwn demy shrkh lelm khbl' whwy mlwkhhyn w'bd ntsbthhyn d'thkhblth emwr' 'yk emwn wbny thhw' sdwm 'yk dmw'b d'ysryl 'lh' khylthn' mry' 'mr 'n' khy hlyn mTl
Therefore, as I live, says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, surely Moab will be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.

ܗܕܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܚܠܦ ܓܐܝܘܬܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܕܚܣܕܘ ܘܐܬܪܘܪܒܘ ܥܠ ܥܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl el khylthn' dmry' emh el w'thrwrbw dkhsdw el g'ywthhwn khlp lhwn thhw' hd'
This they will have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of Yahweh of Armies.

ܐܬܓܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܕܢܘܒܕ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܣܓܕܘܢ ܠܗ ܐܢܫ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܗ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܓܙܪ̈ܬܐ ܕܝܡ̈ܡܐ
dymm' gzrth' klhyn 'thrh mn 'nsh lh wnsgdwn d're' mlkyh lklhwn dnwbd elyhwn mry' 'thgly
Yahweh will be awesome to them, for he will famish all the gods of the land. Men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the shores of the nations.

ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܟܘܫ̈ܝܐ ܩ̈ܛܝܠܝ ܚܪܒܐ
khrb' qTyly kwshy' 'nthwn 'p
You Cushites also, you will be killed by my sword.

ܘܢܪܝܡ ܐܝܕܗ ܥܠ ܓܪܒܝܝܐ ܘܢܘܒܕ ܠܐܬܘܪܝܐ ܘܢܥܒܕܝܗ̇ ܠܢܝܢܘܐ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܨܕܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܒܪܐ
mdbr' 'yk wltsdy' lkhbl' lnynw' wnebdyh l'thwry' wnwbd grbyy' el 'ydh wnrym
He will stretch out his hand against the north, destroy Assyria, and will make Nineveh a desolation, as dry as the wilderness.

ܘܢܪܒܥܘܢ ܒܓܘܗ̇ ܓܙܪ̈ܐ ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܐܦ ܩܩ̈ܐ ܘܩܘ̈ܦܕܐ ܒܒ̈ܬܝܗ̇ ܢܒܘܬܘܢ ܘܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܢܢܗ̈ܡܢ ܒܓܘܗ̇ ܘܚܪܒܐ ܒܬܪ̈ܥܝܗ̇ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܥܩܪܗ̇ ܐܬܦܪܣܝ
'thprsy deqrh mTwl bthreyh wkhrb' bgwh nnhmn wkhywth' nbwthwn bbthyh wqwpd' qq' 'p demm' khywth' wklhyn gzr' bgwh wnrbewn
Herds will lie down in the middle of her, all kinds of animals. Both the pelican and the porcupine will lodge in its capitals. Their calls will echo through the windows. Desolation will be in the thresholds, for he has laid bare the cedar beams.

ܗܕܐ ܗܝ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܥܫܝܢܬܐ ܕܝܬܒܐ ܗܘܬ ܒܫܠܝܐ ܘܐܡܪܐ ܗܘܬ ܒܠܒܗ̇ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܬܘܒ ܐܟܘܬܝ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܘܒܝܬ ܡܪܒܥܐ ܠܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܟܠ ܡ̇ܢ ܕܢܥܒܪ ܥܠܝܗ̇ ܢܬܡܗ ܘܢܫܪܩ ܘܢܢܝܦ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܘܢܐܡܪ
wn'mr b'ydh wnnyp wnshrq nthmh elyh dnebr mn kl lkhywth' mrbe' wbyth lkhbl' hwth 'ykn' 'kwthy thwb wlyth 'n' 'n' blbh hwth w'mr' bshly' hwth dythb' eshynth' mdynth' hy hd'
This is the joyous city that lived carelessly, that said in her heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.” How she has become a desolation, a place for animals to lie down in! Everyone who passes by her will hiss and shake their fists.
