אתכנשו ואתו ואתקרבו עמא דלא חמיד למיתב לאוריתא:
lawrytha lmythb khmyd dla ema wathqrbw wathw athknshw
Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, you nation that has no shame,

עד לא תפוק עליכון גזירת בית דינא ותהון דמן לכמוצא דנשבא ביה רוחא וכטולא דעדי מן קדם יומא עד דלא ייתי עליכון תקוף רוגזא דיי עד לא ייתי עליכון יום רוגזא דיי:
dyy rwgza ywm elykwn yythy la ed dyy rwgza thqwp elykwn yythy dla ed ywma qdm mn dedy wkTwla rwkha byh dnshba lkmwtsa dmn wthhwn dyna byth gzyrth elykwn thpwq la ed
before the appointed time when the day passes as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Yahweh comes on you, before the day of Yahweh’s anger comes on you.

תבעו ית דחלתא דיי כל ענותני ארעא דדיני רעותיה עבדו תבעו קושטא תבעו ענותנותא מאים יתגין עליכון ביום רוגזא דיי:
dyy rwgza bywm elykwn ythgyn maym enwthnwtha thbew qwshTa thbew ebdw rewthyh ddyny area enwthny kl dyy dkhltha yth thbew
Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger.

ארי עזה שביקא תהי ואשקלון לצדו אשדוד בטיהרא יתרכונה ועקרון תתעקר:
ththeqr weqrwn ythrkwnh bTyhra ashdwd ltsdw washqlwn thhy shbyqa ezh ary
For Gaza will be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation. They will drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron will be rooted up.

וי דיתבין בספר ימא עמא דחיבין לאשתיצאה גזירת פתגמא דיי עליכון דיתבין בכנען ארעא דפלשתאי ואבדינך מבלי יתיב:
ythyb mbly wabdynk dplshthay area bknen dythbyn elykwn dyy pthgma gzyrth lashthytsah dkhybyn ema yma bspr dythbyn wy
Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! Yahweh’s word is against you, Canaan, the land of the Philistines. I will destroy you until there is no inhabitant.

ותהי ספר ימא דרות בית מישרי רעין וחוטרין דען:
den wkhwTryn reyn myshry byth drwth yma spr wthhy
The sea coast will be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks.

ויהי עדבא לשארא דבית יהודה עליהון יתפרנסון בבתי אשקלון כד ברמשא יביתון ארי יעול דכרנהון קדם יי אלההון ויתיב גלותהון:
glwthhwn wythyb alhhwn yy qdm dkrnhwn yewl ary ybythwn brmsha kd ashqlwn bbthy ythprnswn elyhwn yhwdh dbyth lshara edba wyhy
The coast will be for the remnant of the house of Judah. They will find pasture. In the houses of Ashkelon, they will lie down in the evening, for Yahweh, their God, will visit them and restore them.

שמיע קדמי חסודי מואב ואתרברבות בני עמון דחסידו ית עמי ואתרברבו על תחומהון:
thkhwmhwn el wathrbrbw emy yth dkhsydw emwn bny wathrbrbwth mwab khswdy qdmy shmye
I have heard the reproach of Moab and the insults of the children of Ammon, with which they have reproached my people and magnified themselves against their border.

בכן קים אנא אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל ארי מואב כסדום תהא ובני עמון כעמורה משמט מלוחין ומחפורין דמלח וצדו עד עלמא שארא דעמי יבזונונון ושאר שבטיא יחסנונון:
ykhsnwnwn shbTya wshar ybzwnwnwn demy shara elma ed wtsdw dmlkh wmkhpwryn mlwkhyn mshmT kemwrh emwn wbny thha ksdwm mwab ary dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr ana qym bkn
Therefore, as I live, says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, surely Moab will be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.

דא להון חלף אתרברבותהון ארי חסידו ואתרברבו על עמיה דיי צבאות:
tsbawth dyy emyh el wathrbrbw khsydw ary athrbrbwthhwn khlp lhwn da
This they will have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of Yahweh of Armies.

דחילא דיי למפרקהון ארי אמעיך ית כל דחלת ארעא ויבעון מן קדמוהי גבר מאתריה כל נגות עממיא:
emmya ngwth kl mathryh gbr qdmwhy mn wybewn area dkhlth kl yth ameyk ary lmprqhwn dyy dkhyla
Yahweh will be awesome to them, for he will famish all the gods of the land. Men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the shores of the nations.

אף אתון כושאי קטילי חרבי תהון:
thhwn khrby qTyly kwshay athwn ap
You Cushites also, you will be killed by my sword.

וירים מחת גבורתיה על צפונא ויאביד ית אתוראה וישוי ית נינוה לצדו אשתממו כמדברא:
kmdbra ashthmmw ltsdw nynwh yth wyshwy athwrah yth wyabyd tspwna el gbwrthyh mkhth wyrym
He will stretch out his hand against the north, destroy Assyria, and will make Nineveh a desolation, as dry as the wilderness.

וישרון בגוה עדרין דכל חיות ברא אף קתין ואף קופדין בפתוח תרעיא יביתון קל עופא דמנצף בכוא חרבו תרעא וטללה סתרו:
sthrw wTllh threa khrbw bkwa dmntsp ewpa ql ybythwn threya bpthwkh qwpdyn wap qthyn ap bra khywth dkl edryn bgwh wyshrwn
Herds will lie down in the middle of her, all kinds of animals. Both the pelican and the porcupine will lodge in its capitals. Their calls will echo through the windows. Desolation will be in the thresholds, for he has laid bare the cedar beams.

דא קרתא תקפתא דיתבא לרוחצן דאמרה בלבה אנא ולית בר מני עוד איכדין הות לצדו בית מישרי חיתא כל די עבר עלה יכלי ויניד ידיה:
ydyh wynyd ykly elh ebr dy kl khytha myshry byth ltsdw hwth aykdyn ewd mny br wlyth ana blbh damrh lrwkhtsn dythba thqptha qrtha da
This is the joyous city that lived carelessly, that said in her heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.” How she has become a desolation, a place for animals to lie down in! Everyone who passes by her will hiss and shake their fists.
