1
ותבית וזקפית עיני וחזית והא ארבע רתיכיא נפקן מבין תרין טוריא וטוריא טורי דנחשא:
dnkhsha Twry wTwrya Twrya thryn mbyn npqn rthykya arbe wha wkhzyth eyny wzqpyth wthbyth
Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

ברתיכיא קדמיתא סוסון סומקין וברתיכא תניתא סוסון אוכמין:
awkmyn swswn thnytha wbrthyka swmqyn swswn qdmytha brthykya
In the first chariot were red horses. In the second chariot were black horses.

וברתיכא תליתאה סוסון חורין וברתיכא רביעתא סוסון פציחין קטמנין:
qTmnyn ptsykhyn swswn rbyetha wbrthyka khwryn swswn thlythah wbrthyka
In the third chariot were white horses. In the fourth chariot were dappled horses, all of them powerful.

ואתיבית ואמרית למלאכא דממליל עמי מה אלין רבוני:
rbwny alyn mh emy dmmlyl lmlaka wamryth wathybyth
Then I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”

ואתיב מלאכא ואמר לי אלין ארבע מלכון דאינון כארבע רוחי שמיא גלין מלאתעתדא קדם רבון כל ארעא:
area kl rbwn qdm mlathethda glyn shmya rwkhy karbe daynwn mlkwn arbe alyn ly wamr mlaka wathyb
The angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go out from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

די בה סוסון אוכמין נפקין לארעא צפונא וחורין נפקו בתריהון ופציחין נפקו לארעא דרומא:
drwma larea npqw wptsykhyn bthryhwn npqw wkhwryn tspwna larea npqyn awkmyn swswn bh dy
The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went out toward the south country.”

וקטמנין נפקו ובעו למיזל להלכא בארעא ואמר אזילו והליכו בארעא והליכו בארעא:
barea whlykw barea whlykw azylw wamr barea lhlka lmyzl wbew npqw wqTmnyn
The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth. He said, “Go around and through the earth!” So they walked back and forth through the earth.

ואכרז עלי ומליל עמי למימר חזי דנפקין לארעא צפונא אמר להון עבידו ית רעותי בארעא צפונא:
tspwna barea rewthy yth ebydw lhwn amr tspwna larea dnpqyn khzy lmymr emy wmlyl ely wakrz
Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

סב מן בני גלותא מחלדי ומן טוביה ומן ידעיה ותיתי את ביומא ההוא ותיעול לבית יאשיה בר צפניה דאתי מבבל:
mbbl dathy tspnyh br yashyh lbyth wthyewl hhwa bywma ath wthythy ydeyh wmn Twbyh wmn mkhldy glwtha bny mn sb
“Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.

ותסב כסף ודהב ותעביד כליל רב ותשוי בריש יהושע בר יהוצדק כהנא רבא:
rba khna yhwtsdq br yhwshe brysh wthshwy rb klyl wthebyd wdhb ksp wthsb
Yes, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

ותימר ליה למימר כדנן אמר יי צבאות למימר הא גברא משיחא שמיה עתיד דיתגלי ויתרבי ויבני ית היכלא דיי:
dyy hykla yth wybny wythrby dythgly ethyd shmyh mshykha gbra ha lmymr tsbawth yy amr kdnn lmymr lyh wthymr
and speak to him, saying, ‘Yahweh of Armies says, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch! He will grow up out of his place; and he will build Yahweh’s temple.

והוא יבני ית היכלא דיי והוא יטול זין ויתיב וישלוט על כורסוהי ויהי כהן רב על כורסוהי ומלכא דשלמא תהי בין תרויהון:
thrwyhwn byn thhy dshlma wmlka kwrswhy el rb khn wyhy kwrswhy el wyshlwT wythyb zyn yTwl whwa dyy hykla yth ybny whwa
He will build Yahweh’s temple. He will bear the glory, and will sit and rule on his throne. He will be a priest on his throne. The counsel of peace will be between them both.

ותשבחתא תהי לחלם ולטוביה ולידעיה ולחן בר צפניה לדכרנא בהיכלא דיי:
dyy bhykla ldkrna tspnyh br wlkhn wlydeyh wlTwbyh lkhlm thhy wthshbkhtha
The crowns shall be to Helem, to Tobijah, to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in Yahweh’s temple.

ומארעא רחיקא ייתון ויבנון בהיכלא דיי ותידעון ארי יי צבאות שלחני לאתנבאה לכון ויהי אם קבלא תקבלון למימרא דיי אלהכון:
alhkwn dyy lmymra thqblwn qbla am wyhy lkwn lathnbah shlkhny tsbawth yy ary wthydewn dyy bhykla wybnwn yythwn rkhyqa wmarea
Those who are far off shall come and build in Yahweh’s temple; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey Yahweh your God’s voice.”’”
