1
ותבית וזקפית עיני וחזית והא מגלה פרחא:
prkha mglh wha wkhzyth eyny wzqpyth wthbyth
Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

ואמר לי מה את חזי ואמרית אנא חזי מגלה פרחא אורכה עשרין אמין ופותיה עשר אמין:
amyn eshr wpwthyh amyn eshryn awrkh prkha mglh khzy ana wamryth khzy ath mh ly wamr
He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”

ואמר לי דא מומתא דעתידא למפק על אפי כל ארעא ארי כל דגניב ומכדיב מדא לקי וכל דקים בשמי לשקר מדא לקי:
lqy mda lshqr bshmy dqym wkl lqy mda wmkdyb dgnyb kl ary area kl apy el lmpq dethyda mwmtha da ly wamr
Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

אפיקתה אמר יי צבאות ותיעול לבית גנבא ולבית דמקים בשמי לשקר ותבית בגו ביתיה ותשיציניה וית אעוהי וית אבנוהי:
abnwhy wyth aewhy wyth wthshytsynyh bythyh bgw wthbyth lshqr bshmy dmqym wlbyth gnba lbyth wthyewl tsbawth yy amr apyqthh
I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

ונפק מלאכא דממליל עמי ואמר לי זקוף כען עינך וחזי מן דגלן אלין:
alyn dgln mn wkhzy eynk ken zqwp ly wamr emy dmmlyl mlaka wnpq
Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

ואמרית מן אינון ואמר אלין עמא דהוו נסבין ויהבין במכילתא דשקרא ואמר הא אינון גלן קדם כל יתבי ארעא:
area ythby kl qdm gln aynwn ha wamr dshqra bmkyltha wyhbyn nsbyn dhww ema alyn wamr aynwn mn wamryth
I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—

והא עממיא קלילין מגלן יתהון בקלילו ואתו עממין אוחרנין ויתיבו באתריהון על דהוו נסבין ויהבין במכילתא דשקרא:
dshqra bmkyltha wyhbyn nsbyn dhww el bathryhwn wythybw awkhrnyn emmyn wathw bqlylw ythhwn mgln qlylyn emmya wha
and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the ephah basket.”

ואמר על דא אתחיבו וגלו על דהוו נסבין ויהבין במכילתא דשקרא ואתו עממין אוחרנין ויתיבו באתריהון:
bathryhwn wythybw awkhrnyn emmyn wathw dshqra bmkyltha wyhbyn nsbyn dhww el wglw athkhybw da el wamr
He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the ephah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.

וזקפית עיני וחזית והא תרתין מדינן גלין לביני מלכות עממי ארעא ועממין קלילין מגלן יתהון בקלילו כמא דמשתדי נשרא ואגליאו ית עמא דהוו נסבין ויהבין במכילתא דשקרא לביני מלכות עממיא דארעא דתחות כל שמיא:
shmya kl dthkhwth darea emmya mlkwth lbyny dshqra bmkyltha wyhbyn nsbyn dhww ema yth waglyaw nshra dmshthdy kma bqlylw ythhwn mgln qlylyn wemmyn area emmy mlkwth lbyny glyn mdynn thrthyn wha wkhzyth eyny wzqpyth
Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.

ואמרית למלאכא דממליל עמי לאן אינון מגלן ית עמא דהוו נסבין ויהבין במכילתא דשקרא:
dshqra bmkyltha wyhbyn nsbyn dhww ema yth mgln aynwn lan emy dmmlyl lmlaka wamryth
Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?”
