ܘܗܦܟ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܡܡܠܠ ܒܝ ܘܐܥܝܪܢܝ ܐܝܟ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܡܬܬܥܝܪ ܡܢ ܫܢܬܗ

The angel who talked with me came again and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܢܐ ܚܙܝܬ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܚܙܝܬ ܡܢܪܬܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܘܟܦܬܐ ܥܠ ܪܝܫܗ̇ ܘܫܒܥܐ ܫܪ̈ܓܝܢ ܥܠܝܗ̇ ܘܫܒܥܐ ܫܒܥܐ ܦܘܡܝܢ ܠܫܪܓܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܪܝܫܗ̇
w'mr ly mn' khzyth w'mrth khzyth mnrth' ddhb' wkpth' el ryshh wshbe' shrgyn elyh wshbe' shbe' pwmyn lshrg' d'yth bryshh
He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I have seen, and behold, a lamp stand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps on it; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps which are on the top of it;

ܘܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܙܝ̈ܬܝܢ ܐܝܬ ܥܠܝܗ̇ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܗ̇ ܕܟܦܬܐ ܘܚܕ ܡܢ ܣܡܠܗ̇
wthryn zythyn 'yth elyh khd mn ymynh dkpth' wkhd mn smlh
and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it.”

ܘܥܢܝܬ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܡܡܠܠ ܒܝ ܡܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܪܝ
wenyth w'mrth lml'k' dmmll by mn' 'nwn hlyn mry
I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”

ܥܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܡܡܠܠ ܒܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܬ ܡܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝ
en' ml'k' dmmll by w'mr ly l' yde 'nth mn' 'nwn hlyn w'mrth l' yde 'n' mry
Then the angel who talked with me answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܗܢܘ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܙܘܪܒܒܠ ܠܐ ܒܚܝܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܥܘܫܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܒܪܘܚ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ
w'mr ly hnw pthgmh dmry' el zwrbbl l' bkhyl' wl' bewshn' 'l' 'n brwkh 'mr mry' khylthn'
Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies.

ܡܢܐ ܐܢܬ ܛܘܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܩܕܡ ܙܘܪܒܒܠ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܦܩܥܬܐ ܘܐܦܩ ܠܟܐܦܐ ܪܫܝܬܐ ܕܫܘܝܘܬܐ ܘܕܪ̈ܚܡܐ
mn' 'nth Twr' rb' qdm zwrbbl 'l' 'yk pqeth' w'pq lk'p' rshyth' dshwywth' wdrkhm'
Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace, to it!’”

ܘܗܘܐ ܥܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ

Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

ܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܕܙܘܪܒܒܠ ܣܡ ܫܬܐ̈ܣܘܗܝ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܫ̈ܠܡܢ ܠܗ ܘܬܕܥܘܢ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܫܕܪܢܝ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ
'ydwhy dzwrbbl sm shth'swhy dbyth' hn' w'ydwhy mshlmn lh wthdewn dmry' khylthn' shdrny lwthkwn
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you.

ܡܛܠ ܕܡܢܘ ܫܐܛ ܠܝ̈ܘܡܬܐ ܙܥܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܢܚܘܪܘܢ ܘܢܚܙܘܢ ܠܟܐܦܐ ܕܦܘܪܫܢܐ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܕܙܘܪܒܒܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܫܒܥ ܥܝܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܚܝܪ̈ܢ ܒܟܠܗ̇ ܐܪܥܐ
mTl dmnw sh'T lywmth' zewr' wnkhwrwn wnkhzwn lk'p' dpwrshn' b'ydwhy dzwrbbl hlyn 'nyn shbe eynwhy dmry' dkhyrn bklh 're'
Indeed, who despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are Yahweh’s eyes, which run back and forth through the whole earth.”

ܥܢܝܬ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܗ ܘܡܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܙܝ̈ܬܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܗ̇ ܕܟܦܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܣܡܠܗ̇
enyth w'mrth lh wmn' 'nwn hlyn thryn zythyn dmn ymynh dkpth' wmn smlh
Then I asked him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lamp stand and on the left side of it?”

ܥܢܝܬ ܕܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܙܒ̈ܢܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܗ ܘܡܢܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܣܘ̈ܟܐ ܕܙܝܬܐ ܕܒܝܢܬ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܢܚܝܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܕܢܣܟܝܢ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܕܗܒܐ
enyth dthrthyn zbnyn w'mrth lh wmn' 'nyn hlyn thrthyn swk' dzyth' dbynth thryn nkhyryn ddhb' dnskyn mnhwn dhb'
I asked him the second time, “What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts that pour the golden oil out of themselves?”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܬ ܡܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܐ ܡܪܝ
w'mr ly l' yde 'nth mn' 'nwn hlyn w'mrth l' mry
He answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܕܘܗܢܐ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܐ ܕܟܠܗ̇ ܐܪܥܐ
w'mr ly hlyn 'nwn thryn bny dwhn' dqymyn qdm mr' dklh 're'
Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”
