ܘܚܘܝܢܝ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܟܗܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܟܕ ܩܐܡ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܣܛܢܐ ܩܐܡ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܗ ܕܢܟܝܘܗܝ
dnkywhy ymynh mn hw' q'm wsTn' dmry' ml'kh qdm q'm kd rb' khn' lyshwe wkhwyny
He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before Yahweh’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܣܛܢܐ ܣܛܢܐ ܢܓܥܘܪ ܒܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܢܓܥܘܪ ܒܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܓܒܗ̇ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܗܢܘ ܐܘܕܐ ܕܐܬܦܠܛ ܡܢ ܢܘܪܐ
nwr' mn d'thplT 'wd' hnw l'wrshlm dgbh mry' bk ngewr mry' bk ngewr sTn' lsTn' dmry' ml'kh w'mr
Yahweh said to Satan, “Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”

ܘܝܫܘܥ ܠܒܝܫ ܗܘܐ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܨ̈ܐܐ ܘܩܐܡ ܗܘܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' ml'kh qdm hw' wq'm ts'' m'n' hw' lbysh wyshwe
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel.

ܘܥܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܐܥܒܪܘ ܡܢܗ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܨ̈ܐܐ ܘܐܥܒܪܘ ܡܢܗ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܨ̈ܐܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܚܙܝ ܕܐܥܒܪܬ ܡܢܟ ܥܘܠܟ ܘܐܠܒܫܬܟ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ
Tb' m'n' w'lbshthk ewlk mnk d'ebrth khzy lh w'mr ts'' m'n' mnh w'ebrw ts'' m'n' mnh 'ebrw qdmwhy dqymyn lhnwn w'mr ml'k' wen'
He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܢܣܝܡܘܢ ܟܠܝܠܐ ܕܟܝܐ ܒܪܝܫܗ ܘܣܡܘ ܟܠܝܠܐ ܕܟܝܐ ܒܪܝܫܗ ܘܐܠܒܫܘܗܝ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ ܘܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܩܐܡ
q'm dmry' wml'kh Tb' m'n' w'lbshwhy bryshh dky' klyl' wsmw bryshh dky' klyl' nsymwn w'mr
I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and Yahweh’s angel was standing by.

ܘܐܣܗܕ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ

Yahweh’s angel solemnly assured Joshua, saying,

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ . ܐܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܝ ܬܐܙܠ ܘܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝ ܬܛܪ ܐܢܬ ܬܕܘܢܝܘܗܝ ܠܒܝܬܝ ܘܬܛܪ ܕܪܬܝ ܘܐܬܠ ܠܟ ܕܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܒܝܢܬ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ
dqymyn hlyn bynth dmhlkyn lk w'thl drthy wthTr lbythy thdwnywhy 'nth thTr wpwqdny th'zl b'wrkhy 'n khylthn' mry' 'mr hkn'
“Yahweh of Armies says: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.

ܫܡܥ ܝܫܘܥ ܟܗܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܘܚܒܪ̈ܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܬܕܡܘܪܬܐ ܕܗܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܥܒܕܝ ܕܢܚܐ
dnkh' lebdy 'n' myth' dh' dthdmwrth' 'nthwn dgbr' mTl qdmyk dqymyn hlyn wkhbryk 'nth rb' khn' yshwe shme
Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign; for, behold, I will bring out my servant, the Branch.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܩܕܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܥܠ ܟܐܦܐ ܚܕܐ ܫܒܥ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܢ ܗܐ ܦܬܚ ܐܢܐ ܬܪ̈ܥܝܗ̇ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܘܐܡܘܫ ܥܘܠܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܗ̇ܝ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ
hw bywm' hy d're' ewlh w'mwsh khylthn' mry' 'mr threyh 'n' pthkh h' eynyn shbe khd' k'p' el yshwe qdm dyhbth k'p' dh' mTl
For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua: on one stone are seven eyes; behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
