מטל פתגמא דיי על ישראל אמר יי דתלא שמיא ושכליל ארעא וברא רוחא דאנשא במעוהי:
bmewhy dansha rwkha wbra area wshklyl shmya dthla yy amr yshral el dyy pthgma mTl
A revelation of Yahweh’s word concerning Israel: Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

הא אנא משוי ית ירושלם מן מלי מרוי לכל עממיא סחור סחור ואף דבית יהודה ייתונון עממיא ביד אניסין בצירא לירושלם:
lyrwshlm btsyra anysyn byd emmya yythwnwn yhwdh dbyth wap skhwr skhwr emmya lkl mrwy mly mn yrwshlm yth mshwy ana ha
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and it will also be on Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.

ויהי בעדנא ההיא אשוי ית ירושלם אבן תקלא לכל עממיא כל אנסהא אתבזזא יתבזזון ויתכנשו עלה כל עממי ארעא:
area emmy kl elh wythknshw ythbzzwn athbzza ansha kl emmya lkl thqla abn yrwshlm yth ashwy hhya bedna wyhy
It will happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.

בעדנא ההיא אמר יי אמחי כל סוסות עממיא בטפשותא ורוכביהון בשעממותא ועל דבית יהודה אגלי ית גבורתי לאטבא להון וכל סוסות עממיא אמחי בסמיותא:
bsmywtha amkhy emmya swswth wkl lhwn laTba gbwrthy yth agly yhwdh dbyth wel bshemmwtha wrwkbyhwn bTpshwtha emmya swswth kl amkhy yy amr hhya bedna
In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will strike every horse with terror and his rider with madness. I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

ויימרון רברבי יהודה בלבהון אשתכח פורקן ליתבי ירושלם במימרא דיי צבאות אלההון:
alhhwn tsbawth dyy bmymra yrwshlm lythby pwrqn ashthkkh blbhwn yhwdh rbrby wyymrwn
The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Yahweh of Armies their God.’

בעדנא ההיא אשוי ית רברבי יהודה כלבוש דינור באעיא וכביעור דאשא בעמירא ויבזון מן דרומא ומן צפונא ית כל נכסי עממיא סחור סחור ותתב ירושלם עוד באתרה ותצלח ירושלם:
yrwshlm wthtslkh bathrh ewd yrwshlm wththb skhwr skhwr emmya nksy kl yth tspwna wmn drwma mn wybzwn bemyra dasha wkbyewr baeya dynwr klbwsh yhwdh rbrby yth ashwy hhya bedna
In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.

ויפרוק יי ית קרויא דבית יהודה בקדמיתא בדיל דלא תסגי אתרברבות בית דויד ואיתרברבות יתבי ירושלם על דבית יהודה:
yhwdh dbyth el yrwshlm ythby waythrbrbwth dwyd byth athrbrbwth thsgy dla bdyl bqdmytha yhwdh dbyth qrwya yth yy wyprwq
Yahweh also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of David’s house and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.

בעדנא ההיא ירחים יי על יתבי ירושלם ויהי דחלש בהון בעדנא ההיא כדויד ובית דויד כרברבין יצלחון במלאכא דיי קדמיהון:
qdmyhwn dyy bmlaka ytslkhwn krbrbyn dwyd wbyth kdwyd hhya bedna bhwn dkhlsh wyhy yrwshlm ythby el yy yrkhym hhya bedna
In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and David’s house will be like God, like Yahweh’s angel before them.

ויהי בעדנא ההיא אתבע לשיצאה ית כל עממיא די מתכנשין ואתן על ירושלם:
yrwshlm el wathn mthknshyn dy emmya kl yth lshytsah athbe hhya bedna wyhy
It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

ואשפוך על דבית דוד ועל יתבי ירושלם רוח חסדא ורחמין ויבעון מן קדמי על די איטלטלו ויספדון עלוהי כמא דספדין על יחידא ויימרון עלוהי כמא דממרין על בוכרא:
bwkra el dmmryn kma elwhy wyymrwn ykhyda el dspdyn kma elwhy wyspdwn ayTlTlw dy el qdmy mn wybewn wrkhmyn khsda rwkh yrwshlm ythby wel dwd dbyth el washpwk
I will pour on David’s house and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplication. They will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for his firstborn.

בעדנא ההיא יסגי מספדא בירושלם כמספדא דאחאב בר עמרי די קטל יתיה הדדרמון בר טברימון וכמספר יאשיה בר אמון די קטל יתיה פרעה חגירא בבקעת מגדון:
mgdwn bbqeth khgyra preh ythyh qTl dy amwn br yashyh wkmspr Tbrymwn br hddrmwn ythyh qTl dy emry br dakhab kmspda byrwshlm mspda ysgy hhya bedna
In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddo.

ויספדון דירי ארעא זרעין זרעין גבריהון לחוד ונשיהון לחוד זרעית בית דוד לחוד גבריהון לחוד ונשיהון לחוד זרעית בית נתן גבריהון לחוד ונשיהון לחוד:
lkhwd wnshyhwn lkhwd gbryhwn nthn byth zreyth lkhwd wnshyhwn lkhwd gbryhwn lkhwd dwd byth zreyth lkhwd wnshyhwn lkhwd gbryhwn zreyn zreyn area dyry wyspdwn
The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of David’s house apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

זרעית בית לוי לחוד גבריהון לחוד ונשיהון לחוד זרעית בית שמעי גבריהון לחוד ונשיהון לחוד:
lkhwd wnshyhwn lkhwd gbryhwn shmey byth zreyth lkhwd wnshyhwn lkhwd gbryhwn lkhwd lwy byth zreyth
the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;
