פתחו עממיא תרעיכון ותשיצי אשתא תוקפיכון:
thwqpykwn ashtha wthshytsy threykwn emmya pthkhw
Open your doors, Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars.

אילילו מלכיא ארי אתברו שלטוניא דעתירי נכסיא מתבזזין אילילו טורני מדינתא ארי אתבזיז מחוז תוקפכון:
thwqpkwn mkhwz athbzyz ary mdyntha Twrny aylylw mthbzzyn nksya dethyry shlTwnya athbrw ary mlkya aylylw
Wail, cypress tree, for the cedar has fallen, because the stately ones are destroyed. Wail, you oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest has come down.

קל צוחת מלכיא ארי אתבזיזו מחוזיהון קל ניהמתהון כבני אריון כד יביש עליהון רום ירדנא:
yrdna rwm elyhwn ybysh kd arywn kbny nyhmthhwn ql mkhwzyhwn athbzyzw ary mlkya tswkhth ql
A voice of the wailing of the shepherds! For their glory is destroyed—a voice of the roaring of young lions! For the pride of the Jordan is ruined.

כדנן אמר יי אלהי אתנבי על פרנסיא דאתמניאו לפרנסא עמא ואינון שליטו בהון כענא לנכסתא:
lnkstha kena bhwn shlyTw waynwn ema lprnsa dathmnyaw prnsya el athnby alhy yy amr kdnn
Yahweh my God says: “Feed the flock of slaughter.

די קניהון קטלין להין אמרין לא עלנא חובא ומזבניהן אמרין בריך יי די אעתרנא ורעיהן לא חיסין עליהן:
elyhn khysyn la wreyhn aethrna dy yy bryk amryn wmzbnyhn khwba elna la amryn lhyn qTlyn qnyhwn dy
Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be Yahweh, for I am rich;’ and their own shepherds don’t pity them.

ארי לא אחוס עוד על יתבי ארעא אמר יי הא אנא מגרי ית אנשא גבר ביד חבריה וביד מלכיה ויבזון ית ארעא ולא אשיזיב מידהון:
mydhwn ashyzyb wla area yth wybzwn mlkyh wbyd khbryh byd gbr ansha yth mgry ana ha yy amr area ythby el ewd akhws la ary
For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land,” says Yahweh; “but, behold, I will deliver every one of the men into his neighbor’s hand and into the hand of his king. They will strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.”

ומניתי פרנסיא על עמא ואינון שלטו בהון כענא לנכסתא מסכינו וטלטילו ית עמי ואתפליגו קדמי לתרתין פלגון אתפליגו בית ישראל על דבית יהודה וקצו במלכותא דבית דוד די בהון רעוא קדמי למהוי פרנסין על עמי:
emy el prnsyn lmhwy qdmy rewa bhwn dy dwd dbyth bmlkwtha wqtsw yhwdh dbyth el yshral byth athplygw plgwn lthrthyn qdmy wathplygw emy yth wTlTylw mskynw lnkstha kena bhwn shlTw waynwn ema el prnsya wmnythy
So I fed the flock to be slaughtered, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called “Favor” and the other I called “Union”, and I fed the flock.

ושיציתי ית תלתא פרנסיא בירחא חד ורחיק מימרי יתהון על דנפשתהון קצת בפולחני:
bpwlkhny qtsth dnpshthhwn el ythhwn mymry wrkhyq khd byrkha prnsya thltha yth wshytsythy
I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.

ואמרית דלא למנאה עליכון פרנס דמיתין ימותון ודמשתיצן ישתיצון ודישתארון יבזון גבר ית נכסי קריביה:
qrybyh nksy yth gbr ybzwn wdyshtharwn yshthytswn wdmshthytsn ymwthwn dmythyn prns elykwn lmnah dla wamryth
Then I said, “I will not feed you. That which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let those who are left eat each other’s flesh.”

ואיתיתי ית סנחריב מלכא דאתור על מלכא דישראל ואגליתי יתיה על די אשניאו קימא דגזרית עמהון דלא למפלח לטעותא בכן גלו ביני עממיא:
emmya byny glw bkn lTewtha lmplkh dla emhwn dgzryth qyma ashnyaw dy el ythyh waglythy dyshral mlka el dathwr mlka snkhryb yth waythythy
I took my staff Favor and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

ועל דאשניאו קימא גלן בעדנא ההיא וידעון כן ענותניא חשיכי עמא די עבדו רעותי ארי פתגמא דיי הוא:
hwa dyy pthgma ary rewthy ebdw dy ema khshyky enwthnya kn wydewn hhya bedna gln qyma dashnyaw wel
It was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that listened to me knew that it was Yahweh’s word.

ואמרית להון אם תקין בעיניכון עבידו רעותי ואם לא אתמנעו ועבדו ית רעותי גברין מקצת:
mqtsth gbryn rewthy yth webdw athmnew la wam rewthy ebydw beynykwn thqyn am lhwn wamryth
I said to them, “If you think it best, give me my wages; and if not, keep them.” So they weighed for my wages thirty pieces of silver.

ואמר יי לי כתוב דכרן עובדיהון בחילש כתבא ורמי יתיה לבית מקדשא ורמי לתחות יד אמרכלא חלף דיקרית דחלתי בעיניהון וכתבית דכרן עובדיהון בחילש כתבא ורמיתי יתיה לבית מקדשא דיי לתחות יד אמרכלא רבא:
rba amrkla yd lthkhwth dyy mqdsha lbyth ythyh wrmythy kthba bkhylsh ewbdyhwn dkrn wkthbyth beynyhwn dkhlthy dyqryth khlp amrkla yd lthkhwth wrmy mqdsha lbyth ythyh wrmy kthba bkhylsh ewbdyhwn dkrn kthwb ly yy wamr
Yahweh said to me, “Throw it to the potter—the handsome price that I was valued at by them!” I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in Yahweh’s house.

ואיתיתי נבוכדנאצר מלכא דבבל על צדקיה מלך שבטא דבית יהודה ואגליתי יתיה על דאשניאו קימא אף אינון דבית יהודה כאחיהון בית ישראל:
yshral byth kakhyhwn yhwdh dbyth aynwn ap qyma dashnyaw el ythyh waglythy yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk tsdqyh el dbbl mlka nbwkdnatsr waythythy
Then I cut apart my other staff, Union, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

ואמר יי לי עוד איזיל אתנבי על פרנסא טפשא:
Tpsha prnsa el athnby ayzyl ewd ly yy wamr
Yahweh said to me, “Take for yourself yet again the equipment of a foolish shepherd.

ארי הא אנא מקים פרנסא בארעא דשגן לא יבעי דאיטלטלו לא יתבע דתבירין לא יסי דקימין לא יסובר ונכסי עתיריא יבוז ושארהון יגמר:
ygmr wsharhwn ybwz ethyrya wnksy yswbr la dqymyn ysy la dthbyryn ythbe la dayTlTlw ybey la dshgn barea prnsa mqym ana ha ary
For, behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not visit those who are cut off, neither will seek those who are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the meat of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.

וי על פרנסא טפשא דאתפקיד ליה עמא לפרנסא די הוא דמי לטבחא די סכיניה בידיה ועיני על שמינתא למכס דרעיה מיבש תיבש ועיניה דימינא מכהא תכהי:
thkhy mkha dymyna weynyh thybsh mybsh dreyh lmks shmyntha el weyny bydyh skynyh dy lTbkha dmy hwa dy lprnsa ema lyh dathpqyd Tpsha prnsa el wy
Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will strike his arm and his right eye. His arm will be completely withered, and his right eye will be totally blinded!”
