ܦܬܚ ܠܒܢܢ ܬܪܥܝܟ ܘܬܐܟܘܠ ܢܘܪܐ ܠܐܪܙܝܟ
l'rzyk nwr' wth'kwl threyk lbnn pthkh
Open your doors, Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars.

ܢܝܠܠ ܫܪܘܝܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܦܠ ܐܪܙܐ ܘܥܫܝܢܐ ܐܬܒܙܙܘ ܢܝܠܠܘܢ ܒܠܘܛܐ ܕܒܝܫܢ ܕܢܦܠ ܥܒܐ ܥܫܝܢܐ
eshyn' eb' dnpl dbyshn blwT' nyllwn 'thbzzw weshyn' 'rz' dnpl mTl shrwyn' nyll
Wail, cypress tree, for the cedar has fallen, because the stately ones are destroyed. Wail, you oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest has come down.

ܩܠܐ ܕܝܠܠܬܐ ܕܪܥܘܬܐ ܕܐܬܒܙܬ ܪܒܘܬܗܘܢ ܩܠܐ ܕܐܪܝܘܬܐ ܕܢܗܡܝܢ ܕܐܬܒܙܙ ܥܘܫܢܗ ܕܝܘܪܕܢܢ
dywrdnn ewshnh d'thbzz dnhmyn d'rywth' ql' rbwthhwn d'thbzth drewth' dyllth' ql'
A voice of the wailing of the shepherds! For their glory is destroyed—a voice of the roaring of young lions! For the pride of the Jordan is ruined.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܝ ܪܥܝ ܠܥܢܐ ܩܛܝܢܬܐ

Yahweh my God says: “Feed the flock of slaughter.

ܕܙܒܘܢܝܗܝܢ ܩܛܠܝܢ ܠܗܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܚܝܒܝܢ ܘܡܙܒܢܢܝܗܝܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܒܪܝܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܥܬܪܢ ܘܪܥܘܬܗܝܢ ܠܐ ܚܝܣܝܢ ܥܠܝܗܝܢ
elyhyn khysyn l' wrewthhyn d'ethrn mry' bryk 'mryn wmzbnnyhyn mthkhybyn wl' lhyn qTlyn dzbwnyhyn
Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be Yahweh, for I am rich;’ and their own shepherds don’t pity them.

ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܚܐܣ ܐܢܐ ܬܘܒ ܥܠ ܥܡܘܪܝܗ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܗܐ ܡܫܠܡ ܐܢܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܐܢܫ ܒܝܕ ܚܒܪܗ ܘܒܝܕ ܡܠܟܗ ܘܢܦܠܓܘܢܗ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܦܨܝܗ ܡܢ ܐܝܕܝܗܘܢ
'ydyhwn mn 'ptsyh wl' l're' wnplgwnh mlkh wbyd khbrh byd 'nsh 'nsh' lbny lhwn 'n' mshlm wh' mry' 'mr d're' emwryh el thwb 'n' kh's dl' mTl
For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land,” says Yahweh; “but, behold, I will deliver every one of the men into his neighbor’s hand and into the hand of his king. They will strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.”

ܘܪܥܝܬ ܠܥܢܐ ܩܛܝܢܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܟܢܫܐ ܕܥܢܐ ܘܢܣܒܬ ܠܝ ܬܪܝܢ ܚܘܛܪܝܢ ܠܚܕ ܩܪܝܬ ܒܣܝܡܐ ܘܠܐܚܪܢܐ ܚܒܠܐ ܘܪܥܝܬ ܠܥܢܐ
len' wreyth khbl' wl'khrn' bsym' qryth lkhd khwTryn thryn ly wnsbth den' knsh' mTl qTynth' len' wreyth
So I fed the flock to be slaughtered, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called “Favor” and the other I called “Union”, and I fed the flock.

ܘܐܘܒܕܬ ܬܠܬܐ ܪܥܘܬܐ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܚܕ ܘܡܐܢܬ ܢܦܫܝ ܒܗܘܢ ܘܐܦ ܢܦܫܬܗܘܢ ܥܘܝ ܥܠܝ
ely ewy npshthhwn w'p bhwn npshy wm'nth khd byrkh' rewth' thlth' w'wbdth
I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.

ܘܐܡܪܬ ܕܠܐ ܐܪܥܝܟܘܢ ܕܡܝܬܐ ܬܡܘܬ ܘܕܐܒܕܐ ܬܐܒܕ ܘܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܫܬܚܪܐ ܬܐܟܘܠ ܒܣܪܐ ܕܚܒܪܬܗ
dkhbrthh bsr' th'kwl dmshthkhr' w'yd' th'bd wd'bd' thmwth dmyth' 'reykwn dl' w'mrth
Then I said, “I will not feed you. That which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let those who are left eat each other’s flesh.”

ܘܢܣܒܬ ܚܘܛܪܝ ܒܣܝܡܐ ܘܬܒܪܬܗ ܕܢܒܛܠ ܩܝܡܐ ܕܐܩܝܡܬ ܥܡ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ
emm' klhwn em d'qymth qym' dnbTl wthbrthh bsym' khwTry wnsbth
I took my staff Favor and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

ܘܒܛܠ ܒܗ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ ܘܝܕܥܘ ܡܟܝܟܐ ܕܥܢܐ ܕܢܛܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܝ ܕܦܬܓܡܗ ܗܘ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' hw dpthgmh ly hww dnTryn den' mkyk' wydew hw bywm' bh wbTl
It was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that listened to me knew that it was Yahweh’s word.

ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܢ ܫܦܝܪ ܒܥܝܢܝܟܘܢ ܗܒܘ ܠܝ ܐܓܪܝ ܐܘ ܛܠܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܝ ܘܬܩܠܘܗܝ ܠܐܓܪܝ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܕܟܣܦܐ
dksp' thlthyn l'gry wthqlwhy ly 'nthwn Tlmyn 'w 'gry ly hbw beynykwn shpyr 'n lhwn w'mrth
I said to them, “If you think it best, give me my wages; and if not, keep them.” So they weighed for my wages thirty pieces of silver.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܪܡܝܗܝ ܒܝܬ ܓܙܐ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܐܝܩܪܐ ܕܐܘܩܪܬ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܘܢܣܒܬ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܕܟܣܦܐ ܘܐܪܡܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܓܙܐ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' bbythh gz' byth 'nwn w'rmyth dksp' thlthyn wnsbth mnhwn d'wqrth d'yqr' shwbkh' gz' byth 'rmyhy mry' ly w'mr
Yahweh said to me, “Throw it to the potter—the handsome price that I was valued at by them!” I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in Yahweh’s house.

ܘܬܒܪܬ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܚܘܛܪܝ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܐܒܛܠ ܐܘܝܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܬ ܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ
l'ysryl yhwd' byth hwth d'yth 'wywth' d'bTl 'khrn' khwTry lkhbl' wthbrth
Then I cut apart my other staff, Union, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܬܘܒ ܣܒ ܠܟ ܡܐܢܐ ܕܪܥܝܐ ܒܘܪܐ
bwr' drey' m'n' lk sb thwb mry' ly w'mr
Yahweh said to me, “Take for yourself yet again the equipment of a foolish shepherd.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܩܝܡ ܐܢܐ ܪܥܝܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܒܕܢ ܠܐ ܢܦܩܘܕ ܘܕܛܥܝܢ ܠܐ ܢܒܥܐ ܘܕܬܒܝܪܢ ܠܐ ܢܥܨܘܒ ܘܕܟܪܝܗܢ ܠܐ ܢܐܣܐ ܘܕܩܝܡܢ ܠܐ ܢܬܪܣܐ ܘܒܣܪܐ ܕܫܡܝܢܬܐ ܢܐܟܘܠ ܘܟܪܥܝܗܝܢ ܢܥܪܩ
nerq wkreyhyn n'kwl dshmynth' wbsr' nthrs' l' wdqymn n's' l' wdkryhn netswb l' wdthbyrn nbe' l' wdTeyn npqwd l' d'bdn b're' rey' 'n' mqym 'n' dh' mTl
For, behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not visit those who are cut off, neither will seek those who are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the meat of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.

ܐܘ ܪܥܝܐ ܒܘܪܐ ܕܫܒܩܬ ܥܢܐ ܥܠ ܕܪܥܟ ܘܥܠ ܥܝܢܟ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܕܪܥܟ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܢܐܒܫ ܘܥܝܢܟ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܬܣܡܐ
thsm' dymyn' weynk n'bsh dymyn' drek dymyn' eynk wel drek el en' dshbqth bwr' rey' 'w
Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will strike his arm and his right eye. His arm will be completely withered, and his right eye will be totally blinded!”
