ܦܘܠܘܣ ܥܒܕܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܫܠܝܚܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܓܒܝܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܕܒܕܚܠܬ ܐܠܗܐ
'lh' dbdkhlth dshrr' wydeth' d'lh' dgby' bhymnwth' mshykh' dyshwe wshlykhh d'lh' ebdh pwlws
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s chosen ones, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

ܥܠ ܣܒܪܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܕܡܠܟ ܐܠܗܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܩܕܡ ܙܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܥܠܡܐ
delm' zbnwhy qdm shryr' 'lh' dmlk dlelm dkhy' sbr' el
in hope of eternal life, which God, who can’t lie, promised before time began;

ܘܓܠܐ ܡܠܬܗ ܒܙܒܢܗ ܒܝܕ ܟܪܘܙܘܬܢ ܗܝ ܕܐܬܗܝܡܢܬ ܐܢܐ ܒܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܝܢܢ
mkhynn d'lh' bpwqdn' 'n' d'thhymnth hy krwzwthn byd bzbnh mlthh wgl'
but in his own time revealed his word in the message with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior;

ܠܛܛܘܣ ܒܪܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܓܘܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܫܠܡܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܚܝܢܢ
mkhynn mshykh' yshwe mrn wmn 'b' 'lh' mn wshlm' Tybwth' dgw' bhymnwth' shryr' br' lTTws
to Titus, my true child according to a common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

ܡܛܠܗܢܐ ܗܘ ܫܒܩܬܟ ܗܘܝܬ ܒܩܪܛܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܣܝܪܢ ܬܬܩܢ ܘܬܩܝܡ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܒܡܕܝܢܐ ܡܕܝܢܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕܬܟ
dpqdthk 'ykn' mdyn' bmdyn' qshysh' wthqym ththqn dkhsyrn d'ylyn bqrT' hwyth shbqthk hw mTlhn'
I left you in Crete for this reason, that you would set in order the things that were lacking, and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you;

ܐܝܢܐ ܕܕܠܐ ܪܫܝܢ ܗܘ ܘܗܘܐ ܒܥܠܐ ܕܚܕܐ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܒܢܝܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܨܚܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܫܘܥܒܕ ܒܐܣܘܛܘܬܐ
b'swTwth' shwebd dl' 'ythyhwn wl' mtskhyn dl' mhymn' bny' lh w'yth 'nthth' dkhd' bel' whw' hw rshyn ddl' 'yn'
if anyone is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, who are not accused of loose or unruly behavior.

ܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܕܠܐ ܪܫܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܪܒܝܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܡܬܕܒܪ ܒܪܥܝܢ ܢܦܫܗ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܚܡܬܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܒܪ ܥܠ ܚܡܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܪܗܛܐ ܐܝܕܗ ܠܡܡܚܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܪܚܡ ܝܘܬܪܢܐ ܛܢܦܐ

For the overseer must be blameless, as God’s steward; not self-pleasing, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for dishonest gain;

ܐܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܪܚܡ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܪܚܡ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܢܟܦ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܟܐܝܢ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܚܣܝܐ ܘܠܒܝܟ ܢܦܫܗ ܡܢ ܪܓܝܓܬܐ
rgygth' mn npshh wlbyk khsy' wnhw' k'yn wnhw' nkp wnhw' Tbth' rkhm wnhw' 'ksny' rkhm nhw' 'l'
but given to hospitality, a lover of good, sober minded, fair, holy, self-controlled;

ܘܒܛܝܠ ܠܗ ܥܠ ܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܡܠܬܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܢܫܟܚ ܐܦ ܠܡܒܝܐܘ ܒܝܘܠܦܢܗ ܚܠܝܡܐ ܘܠܡܟܣܘ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܚܪܝܢ
dmthkhryn l'ylyn wlmksw khlym' bywlpnh lmby'w 'p dnshkkh dhymnwth' dmlth' ywlpn' el lh wbTyl
holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict those who contradict him.

ܐܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܫܬܥܒܕܝܢ ܘܣܪܝܩܢ ܡܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܡܛܥܝܢ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܓܙܘܪܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn gzwrth' dmn 'ylyn ythyr'yth dbnynsh' reyn' wmTeyn mlyhwn wsryqn mshthebdyn dl' sgy'' gyr 'yth
For there are also many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

ܗܢܘܢ ܕܘܠܐ ܠܡܣܟܪܘ ܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܒܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܚܒܠܝܢ ܘܡܠܦܝܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܝܘܬܪܢܐ ܛܢܦܐ
Tnp' ywthrn' mTl wl' dl' mdm wmlpyn mkhblyn sgy'' gyr bth' pwmhwn lmskrw dwl' hnwn
whose mouths must be stopped; men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain’s sake.

ܐܡܪ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܝܠܗܘܢ ܕܒܢܝ ܩܪܛܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܕܓܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܟܪܣܬܐ ܒܛܝܠܬܐ
bTylth' wkrsth' byshth' khywth' 'nwn dglyn bklzbn qrT' dbny dylhwn nby' mnhwn 'nsh 'mr
One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, and idle gluttons.”

ܘܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܩܫܝܐܝܬ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܟܣ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܚܠܝܡܝܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
bhymnwth' khlymyn dnhwwn lhwn mks hwyth qshy'yth hn' mTl hd' shdwth' 'ythyh wshryr'yth
This testimony is true. For this cause, reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,

ܘܠܐ ܢܬܪܡܘܢ ܠܫܘܥܝܬܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܘܠܦܘܩܕܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܕܣܢܝܢ ܫܪܪܐ
shrr' dsnyn dbnynsh' wlpwqd' dyhwdy' lshweyth' nthrmwn wl'
not paying attention to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.

ܟܠܡܕܡ ܓܝܪ ܕܟܐ ܗܘ ܠܕܟܝܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܣܝܒܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܕܟܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܡܣܝܒ ܗܘ ܪܥܝܢܗܘܢ ܘܬܐܪܬܗܘܢ
wth'rthhwn reynhwn hw msyb 'l' lhwn lyth ddk' mdm mhymnyn wl' dmsybyn dyn l'ylyn ldky' hw dk' gyr klmdm
To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

ܘܡܘܕܝܢ ܕܝܕܥܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܥܒܕܝܗܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܦܪܝܢ ܒܗ ܘܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܣܢܝܐܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܝܣ ܘܡܣܠܝܐ ܠܟܠ ܥܒܕ ܛܒ

They profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.
