ובועז סליק לתרע בית דינא דסנהדרין ויתיב תמן עם סביא והא פריקא חלף דמליל בועז לרות ואמר סטי תיב הכא גבר דצניען אורחתיה וסטא ויתיב:
wythyb wsTa awrkhthyh dtsnyen gbr hka thyb sTy wamr lrwth bwez dmlyl khlp pryqa wha sbya em thmn wythyb dsnhdryn dyna byth lthre slyq wbwez
Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there. Behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by. Boaz said to him, “Come over here, friend, and sit down!” He came over, and sat down.

ודבר עשרתי גוברין מסבי קרתא ואמר תיבו הכא ויתיבו:
wythybw hka thybw wamr qrtha msby gwbryn eshrthy wdbr
Boaz took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, “Sit down here,” and they sat down.

ואמר לפריקא אחסנת חקלא דלאחונא לאלימלך זבינת נעמי דתבת מחקל מואב:
mwab mkhql dthbth nemy zbynth lalymlk dlakhwna khqla akhsnth lpryqa wamr
He said to the near kinsman, “Naomi, who has come back out of the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s.

ואנא אמרית אגלי אודנך למימר קני כל קביל יתבי תרעא דבית דינא דסנהדרין וכל קביל סביא דעמי אם אית רעותך למפרק פרוק ואם לא אית רעותך חוי לי ואנדע ארום לא אית בר מנך דהוא רשאי למפרק קדמך ודהוא קריב למתב כותך ואנא ארע מנך ופריקא אהא בתרך ואמר אנא אפרוק:
aprwq ana wamr bthrk aha wpryqa mnk are wana kwthk lmthb qryb wdhwa qdmk lmprq rshay dhwa mnk br ayth la arwm wande ly khwy rewthk ayth la wam prwq lmprq rewthk ayth am demy sbya qbyl wkl dsnhdryn dyna dbyth threa ythby qbyl kl qny lmymr awdnk agly amryth wana
I thought I should tell you, saying, ‘Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know. For there is no one to redeem it besides you; and I am after you.” He said, “I will redeem it.”

ואמר בועז ביום זבנותך ית חקלא מן ידא דנעמי ומן ידא דרות מואביתא אתת מיתא חיב את למפרק ובעי ליבמא יתה למסבה לאנתו מן בגלל לאקמא שום מיתא על אחסנתיה:
akhsnthyh el mytha shwm laqma bgll mn lanthw lmsbh ythh lybma wbey lmprq ath khyb mytha athth mwabytha drwth yda wmn dnemy yda mn khqla yth zbnwthk bywm bwez wamr
Then Boaz said, “On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance.”

ואמר פריקא כי האי גונא לית אנא יכיל למפרק לי על דאית לי אתתא לית לי רשו למסב אוחרניתא עלהא דלמא תהי למצו בביתי ואיהי מחביל ית אחסנתי פרוק לך את ארום לית לך אתתא ארום לית אנא יכיל למפרק:
lmprq ykyl ana lyth arwm aththa lk lyth arwm ath lk prwq akhsnthy yth mkhbyl wayhy bbythy lmtsw thhy dlma elha awkhrnytha lmsb rshw ly lyth aththa ly dayth el ly lmprq ykyl ana lyth gwna hay ky pryqa wamr
The near kinsman said, “I can’t redeem it for myself, lest I endanger my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption for yourself; for I can’t redeem it.”

וכהדא מנהגא בעדנא דמלקדמין מתנהגא בישראל בזמן דשקלן וטרן ופרקן ומחלפן חד מן חבריה ומקימין כל מדעם וטלע גבר נרתיק יד ימיניה ואושיט ביה קנין לחבריה והכין נהגין בית ישראל למקני חד מן חבריה קדם סהדיא:
shdya qdm khbryh mn khd lmqny yshral byth nhgyn whkyn lkhbryh qnyn byh wawshyT ymynyh yd nrthyq gbr wTle mdem kl wmqymyn khbryh mn khd wmkhlpn wprqn wTrn dshqln bzmn byshral mthnhga dmlqdmyn bedna mnhga wkhda
Now this was the custom in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning exchanging, to confirm all things: a man took off his sandal, and gave it to his neighbor; and this was the way of formalizing transactions in Israel.

ואמר פריקא לבועז אושיט ידך לקנינא וקני לך וטלע בועז ית נרתיק יד ימיניה וקנא ליה:
lyh wqna ymynyh yd nrthyq yth bwez wTle lk wqny lqnyna ydk awshyT lbwez pryqa wamr
So the near kinsman said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself,” then he took off his sandal.

ואמר בועז לסביא ולכל עמא הוו סהדין אתון עלי יומא דין ארום קניתי ית כל מה דהוה לאלימלך וית כל מה דהוה לכליון ומחלון מן ידא דנעמי:
dnemy yda mn wmkhlwn lklywn dhwh mh kl wyth lalymlk dhwh mh kl yth qnythy arwm dyn ywma ely athwn shdyn hww ema wlkl lsbya bwez wamr
Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, “You are witnesses today, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi.

ואף ית רות מואביתא אתת מחלון קניתי לי לאנתו בגין לאקמא שום שכיבא על אחסנתיה ולא ישתיצי שום שכיבא מלות אחוהי ומתרע סנהדרין דבאתריה סהדין אתון עלי יומא דין:
dyn ywma ely athwn shdyn dbathryh snhdryn wmthre akhwhy mlwth shkyba shwm yshthytsy wla akhsnthyh el shkyba shwm laqma bgyn lanthw ly qnythy mkhlwn athth mwabytha rwth yth wap
Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, I have purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses today.”

ואמרו כל עמא דבתרע סנהדרין וסביא סהדין אנחנא יתן יי ית אתתא הדא דאתיא לביתך כרחל וכלאה דבנו תרויהון ית בית ישראל אבונא בתרי עסר שבטין ועביד חילא באפרת ותהי קרי שמא בבית לחם:
lkhm bbyth shma qry wthhy baprth khyla webyd shbTyn esr bthry abwna yshral byth yth thrwyhwn dbnw wklah krkhl lbythk dathya hda aththa yth yy ythn ankhna shdyn wsbya snhdryn dbthre ema kl wamrw
All the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May Yahweh make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which both built the house of Israel; and treat you worthily in Ephrathah, and be famous in Bethlehem.

ויהי מצלח ביתך כבית פרץ דילידת תמר ליהודה מן זרעא דיתן יי לך מן ריבא הדא:
hda ryba mn lk yy dythn zrea mn lyhwdh thmr dylydth prts kbyth bythk mtslkh wyhy
Let your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, of the offspring which Yahweh will give you by this young woman.”

ונסיב בועז ית רות והות ליה לאנתו ועל לותה ויהב יי לה עדוי וילדת בר:
br wyldth edwy lh yy wyhb lwthh wel lanthw lyh whwth rwth yth bwez wnsyb
So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and he went in to her, and Yahweh enabled her to conceive, and she bore a son.

ואמרן נשיא לנעמי בריך שמיה דיי דלא פסק ליך פריקא יומא דין ויתקרי שמיה מן צדיקי ישראל:
yshral tsdyqy mn shmyh wythqry dyn ywma pryqa lyk psq dla dyy shmyh bryk lnemy nshya wamrn
The women said to Naomi, “Blessed be Yahweh, who has not left you today without a near kinsman. Let his name be famous in Israel.

ויהי ליך למקים נפש ולכלכלא ית סיבתיך בתפנוקין ארום כלתך די רחימית יתיך ילדתיה דהיא הות טבתא ליך בעדן ארמלותיך מסגיאין בנין:
bnyn msgyayn armlwthyk bedn lyk Tbtha hwth dhya yldthyh ythyk rkhymyth dy klthk arwm bthpnwqyn sybthyk yth wlklkla npsh lmqym lyk wyhy
He shall be to you a restorer of life and sustain you in your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”

ונסיבת נעמי ית רביא ושויאת יתיה בעטפה והות ליה לתורבינתא:
lthwrbyntha lyh whwth beTph ythyh wshwyath rbya yth nemy wnsybth
Naomi took the child, laid him in her bosom, and became nurse to him.

וקראן ליה שיבבתן שום למימר אתיליד בר לנעמי והוו קרן שמיה עובד הוא אבוי דישי אבוי דדוד:
ddwd abwy dyshy abwy hwa ewbd shmyh qrn whww lnemy br athylyd lmymr shwm shybbthn lyh wqran
The women, her neighbors, gave him a name, saying, “A son is born to Naomi”. They named him Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

ואלין תולדת פרץ פרץ אוליד ית חצרון:
khtsrwn yth awlyd prts prts thwldth walyn
Now this is the history of the generations of Perez: Perez became the father of Hezron,

וחצרון אוליד ית רם ורם אוליד ית עמינדב:
emyndb yth awlyd wrm rm yth awlyd wkhtsrwn
and Hezron became the father of Ram, and Ram became the father of Amminadab,
20
ועמינדב אוליד ית נחשון ונחשון רב בית אבא לבית יהודה ונחשון אוליד ית סלמא צדיקא הוא סלמא מן בית לחם ונטופה דבטילו בנוהי פרוזבין דאותיב ירבעם חיבא על אורחי והואן עובדי אב ובנין יאין כנטופא:

and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon became the father of Salmon,

ושלמון אוליד ית אבצן נגידא הוא בועז צדיקא דעל זכותיה אשתיזבו עמא בית ישראל מיד בעלי דבביהון ובגין צלותיה עדא כפנא מארעא דישראל ובועז אוליד ית עובד דפלח למרי עלמא בלב שלים:
shlym blb elma lmry dplkh ewbd yth awlyd wbwez dyshral marea kpna eda tslwthyh wbgyn dbbyhwn bely myd yshral byth ema ashthyzbw zkwthyh del tsdyqa bwez hwa ngyda abtsn yth awlyd wshlmwn
and Salmon became the father of Boaz, and Boaz became the father of Obed,

ועובד אוליד ית ישי דמתקרי נחש בגין דלא אשתכחת ביה עלה ושחיתה לאתמסרא בידוי דמלאכא דמותא למסב ית נפשיה מניה וחיא יומין סגיאין עד דאדכר קדם יי עיטא דיהב חויא לחוה אתת אדם למיכל מן אילנא דאכלי פירוהי חכימין לידע בין טב לביש ועל ההוא עיטא אתחיבו מותא כל דירי ארעא ובההיא עילה שכיב ישי צדיקא הוא ישי דאוליד ית דוד מלכא דישראל:
dyshral mlka dwd yth dawlyd yshy hwa tsdyqa yshy shkyb eylh wbhhya area dyry kl mwtha athkhybw eyTa hhwa wel lbysh Tb byn lyde khkymyn pyrwhy dakly aylna mn lmykl adm athth lkhwh khwya dyhb eyTa yy qdm dadkr ed sgyayn ywmyn wkhya mnyh npshyh yth lmsb dmwtha dmlaka bydwy lathmsra wshkhythh elh byh ashthkkhth dla bgyn nkhsh dmthqry yshy yth awlyd wewbd
and Obed became the father of Jesse, and Jesse became the father of David.
