ܘܐ̇ܡ̣ܪܬ ܠܗ̇ ܢܥܡܝ. ܒܪܬܝ̣. ܠܐ ܐܒܥܐ ܠܟܝ ܢܝܚܐ ܘܢܛܐܒ ܠܟܝ

Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?

ܘܗܐ ܒܥܙ ܒܚܟܘܡܬܢ ܗ̇ܘ ܗܘ ܕܗ̣ܘܝܬܝ ܥܡ ܥܠܝܡ̈ܬܗ. ܘܗܐ ܒܗܢܐ ܠܠܝܐ ܐܕܪ̈ܐ ܕܣܥܪ̈ܐ ܟ̇ܫܐ

Now isn’t Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens you were? Behold, he will be winnowing barley tonight on the threshing floor.

ܣܚܝ ܗܟܝܠ ܘܡܫܘܚܝ. ܘܐܨܛܒ̣ܬ ܒܠܒ̈ܘܫܝܟܝ. ܘܚܘܬ ܠܐܕܪܐ. ܘܠܐ ܬܬܚܙܝܢ ܠܗ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܠܥ̇ܣ ܘܫ̇ܬܐ

Therefore wash yourself, anoint yourself, get dressed, and go down to the threshing floor; but don’t make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܡܐ ܕܕܡ̇ܟ̣. ܬܣܝܡܝܢ̣ ܠܒܠܟܝ ܒ̇ܕܘܟܬܐ ܕܕܡ̇ܟ ܒܗ̇. ܘܬܩܪܒܝܢ ܘܬܕܡܟܝܢ ܠܘܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ. ܘܗ̣ܘ ܢܐܡܪ ܠܟܝ ܡܐ ܕܬܥܒܕܝܢ

It shall be, when he lies down, that you shall note the place where he is lying. Then you shall go in, uncover his feet, and lie down. Then he will tell you what to do.”

ܘܐܡ̣ܪܬ ܠܗ̇. ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܐܡܪܬܝ ܠܝ ܐ̇ܥܒܕ

She said to her, “All that you say, I will do.”

ܘܢܚ̣ܬܬ ܠܐܕܪ̈ܐ̣. ܘܥܒ̣ܕܬ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܦܩܕܬܗ̇ ܚܡܬܗ̇

She went down to the threshing floor, and did everything that her mother-in-law told her.

ܘܟܕ ܐܟ̣ܠ ܒܥܙ ܘܐܫܬܝ ܘܛܐܒ ܠܒܗ̣. ܐܬ̣ܐ ܘܕܡ̣ܟ ܒܓܒܗ ܕܐܕܪܐ. ܘܒܡܚܠܝܐ ܕܫܢܬܐ ܟܕ ܕܡ̣ܟ ܒܐܕܪܐ̣. ܐܬܬ ܗ̣ܝ ܒܛܘܫܝܐ. ܘܓܠܬ ܟܢܦܐ ܕܡܪܛܘܛܗ̣. ܘܢܦ̣ܠܬ ܠܘܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ

When Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain. She came softly, uncovered his feet, and lay down.

ܘܗ̣ܘܐ ܒܦܠܓܗ ܕܠܠܝܐ̣. ܢܕ ܓܒܪܐ ܡܢ ܫܢܬܗ. ܘܬܘܗ ܕܚ̣ܙܐ ܐܢܬܬܐ. ܕܕܡܟܐ ܠܘܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ

At midnight, the man was startled and turned himself; and behold, a woman lay at his feet.

ܘܐܡ̣ܪ ܠܗ̇ ܡܐ ܛܒܟܝ. ܘܐܡ̣ܪܬ ܠܗ ܐܢܐ ܐ̣ܢܐ ܪܥܘܬ ܐܡܬܟ. ܐܠܐ ܟܣܐ ܠܐܡܬܟ ܒܟܢܦܐ ܕܡܪܛܘܛܟ. ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܬܒ̇ܥ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ

He said, “Who are you?” She answered, “I am Ruth your servant. Therefore spread the corner of your garment over your servant; for you are a near kinsman.”

ܘܐܡ̣ܪ ܠܗ̇ ܒ̇ܥܙ. ܒܪܝܟܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܪܬܝ . ܡܛܘܠ ܕܐ̇ܛܐܒܬ ܚܣܕܟܝ ܐ̇ܚ̣ܪܝܐ ܛܒ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܐ. ܕܠܐ ܐܙܠܬܝ ܒܬܪ ܥܠܝܡ̈ܐ ܕܥܬܝܪܝܢ ܐܘ ܕܡܣܟ̈ܢܝܢ
dmsknyn 'w dethyryn elym' bthr 'zlthy dl' qdmy' mn Tb 'khry' khsdky d'T'bth mTwl brthy l'lh' 'nth bryk' bez lh w'mr
He said, “You are blessed by Yahweh, my daughter. You have shown more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, because you didn’t follow young men, whether poor or rich.

ܘܗܫܐ ܒܪܬܝ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܝܢ. ܡܛܠ ܕܟܠ ܕܬܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܝ̣ ܐܥ̇ܒܕ ܠܟܝ . ܝܕ̇ܥܐ ܓܝܪ ܟܠܗ ܫܪܒܬܗ ܕܥܡܢ̣. ܕܐܢܬܬܐ ܐܢܬܝ̣ ܕܥܘܫܢܐ
dewshn' 'nthy d'nthth' demn shrbthh klh gyr yde' lky 'ebd ly dth'mryn dkl mTl thdkhlyn l' brthy whsh'
Now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do to you all that you say; for all the city of my people knows that you are a worthy woman.

ܘܗܫܐ ܒܩܘܫܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܬܒ̇ܥ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ. ܒܪܡ ܕܝ̣ܢ. ܐܝܬ ܗܘ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܬܒ̇ܥ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ. ܕܗ̣ܘ ܩܪܝܒ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢܝ
mny ythyr qryb dhw yrthwth' dthbe 'khrn' hw 'yth dyn brm yrthwth' thbe 'n' 'n' bqwshth' whsh'
Now it is true that I am a near kinsman. However, there is a kinsman nearer than I.

ܘܗܫܐ ܟܬܪ ܝܘܡܢܐ̣. ܘܒܘܬܝ ܥܕ ܢܓ̇ܗܐ. ܘܢܗܘܐ ܒܨ̇ܦܪܐ̣. ܐܢ ܬܒܥܟܝ ܫܦܝܪ̣ ܢܬܒܥ. ܘܐܢܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܢܨܒܐ ܕܢܬ̣ܒܥܟܝ̣. ܚܝ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܢ ܗ̣ܘ ܕܠܐ ܢܬܒܥܟܝ . ܐܠܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܬܒܥܟܝ . ܘܐܡ̣ܪ ܠܗ̇. ܕܡ̣ܟ ܥܕ ܨ̇ܦܪܐ

Stay this night, and in the morning, if he will perform for you the part of a kinsman, good. Let him do the kinsman’s duty. But if he will not do the duty of a kinsman for you, then I will do the duty of a kinsman for you, as Yahweh lives. Lie down until the morning.”

ܘܕܡ̣ܟܬ ܠܘܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܓܗܬ. ܘܩܡ̣ܬ ܒܨ̇ܦܪܐ ܟܕ ܥܡܘܛ̣. ܥܕܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܕܥ ܠܚܒܪܗ. ܘܐܡ̣ܪܬ ܠܗ. ܕܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢ̣ܕܥ ܕܢܚ̇ܬܬ ܠܘܬܟ ܠܐܕܪܐ

She lay at his feet until the morning, then she rose up before one could discern another. For he said, “Let it not be known that the woman came to the threshing floor.”

ܐܡ̇ܪ ܠܗ̇ ܒ̇ܥܙ. ܦܪܘܣܝ ܡܪܛܘܛܟܝ. ܘܦܪ̣ܣܬ. ܘܐܟܝܠ ܐܪܡܝ ܠܗ̇ ܫܬܐ ܟܝ̈ܠܝܢ. ܕܣܥܪ̈ܐ. ܘܐܪܝܡ ܥܠܝܗ̇. ܘܫ̣ܩܠܬ ܘܐܬܬ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ

He said, “Bring the mantle that is on you, and hold it.” She held it; and he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her; then he went into the city.

ܘܥ̣ܠܬ ܠܘܬ ܚܡܬܗ̇. ܐܡ̇ܪܐ ܠܗ̇ ܚܡܬܗ̇. ܡ̇ܢ ܐܢܬ ܒܪܬܝ̣. ܐܡ̇ܪܐ ܠܗ̣̇. ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܪܥܘܬ. ܘܐ̣ܡܪܬ ܠܗ̇ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܥ̣ܒܕ ܠܗ̇ ܒ̇ܥܙ

When she came to her mother-in-law, she said, “How did it go, my daughter?” She told her all that the man had done for her.

ܘܕܝܗܒ ܠܗ̇ ܫܬܐ ܟܝܠܝܢ ܕܣ̇ܥܪ̈ܐ. ܘܕܐܡ̣ܪ ܠܗ̇ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܠܝܢ ܠܘܬ ܚܡܬܟܝ ܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ

She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley; for he said, ‘Don’t go empty to your mother-in-law.’”

ܐܡ̇ܪܐ ܠܗ̇ ܚܡܬܗ̇. ܬܒܝ ܒܪܬܝ ܥܕ ܬܚܙܝܢ. ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܫ̇ܠܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܡ̇ܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ̣ܐ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܀

Then she said, “Wait, my daughter, until you know what will happen; for the man will not rest until he has settled this today.”
