ולנעמי אשתמודע לגוברה גבר גבר תקיף באוריתא מן יחוס אלימלך ושמיה בועז:
bwez wshmyh alymlk ykhws mn bawrytha thqyp gbr gbr lgwbrh ashthmwde wlnemy
Naomi had a relative of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name was Boaz.

ואמרת רות מואביתא לנעמי איזיל כען לחקלא ואכנוש בשבולין בתר דאשכח רחמין בעינוי ואמרת לה איזילי ברתי:
brthy ayzyly lh wamrth beynwy rkhmyn dashkkh bthr bshbwlyn waknwsh lkhqla ken ayzyl lnemy mwabytha rwth wamrth
Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Let me now go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I find favor.” She said to her, “Go, my daughter.”

ואזלת ועלת וכנשת בחקלא בתר חצודיא ואירע ארעהא אחסנת חקלא דהוה לבועז דמן יחוס אלימלך:
alymlk ykhws dmn lbwez dhwh khqla akhsnth areha wayre khtswdya bthr bkhqla wknshth welth wazlth
She went, and came and gleaned in the field after the reapers; and she happened to come to the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.

והא בועז אתא מבית לחם ואמר לחצודיא יהי מימרא דיי בסעדכון ואמרו ליה יברכינך יי:
yy ybrkynk lyh wamrw bsedkwn dyy mymra yhy lkhtswdya wamr lkhm mbyth atha bwez wha
Behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “May Yahweh be with you.” They answered him, “May Yahweh bless you.”

ואמר בועז לעולימיה דמני רב על חצודיא לאידין אומה ריבא הדא:
hda ryba awmh laydyn khtswdya el rb dmny lewlymyh bwez wamr
Then Boaz said to his servant who was set over the reapers, “Whose young lady is this?”

ואתיב עולימא דאתמנא רב על חצודיא ואמר ריבא מן עמא דמואב היא דתבת ואתגירת עם נעמי מחקל מואב:
mwab mkhql nemy em wathgyrth dthbth hya dmwab ema mn ryba wamr khtswdya el rb dathmna ewlyma wathyb
The servant who was set over the reapers answered, “It is the Moabite lady who came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab.

ואמרת אצבור כען ואכנוש שובלין באלומיא מה דמשתאר בתר חצודיא ואתת וקמת ואתעכבית כען מקדם צפרא ועד כען פון זעיר דין דיתבא בביתא צבחר:
tsbkhr bbytha dythba dyn zeyr pwn ken wed tspra mqdm ken wathekbyth wqmth wathth khtswdya bthr dmshthar mh balwmya shwblyn waknwsh ken atsbwr wamrth
She said, ‘Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.’ So she came, and has continued even from the morning until now, except that she rested a little in the house.”

ואמר בועז לרות הלא קבילי מני ברתי לא תהכין למצבר שובלין בחקל אחרן ואף לא תעברי מכא למיזל לאומה אחרא והכא תתוספין עם עולימתי:
ewlymthy em ththwspyn whka akhra lawmh lmyzl mka thebry la wap akhrn bkhql shwblyn lmtsbr thhkyn la brthy mny qbyly hla lrwth bwez wamr
Then Boaz said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Don’t go to glean in another field, and don’t go from here, but stay here close to my maidens.

תהא מסתכלא בחקלא דיחצדון ותהכין בתריהון הלא פקידית ית עולימיא דלא יקרבון ביך ובעדן דאת צהיא למיא איזילי למניא ותהא שתיא מיא מוי די מליין עולימיא:
ewlymya mlyyn dy mwy mya shthya wthha lmnya ayzyly lmya tshya dath wbedn byk yqrbwn dla ewlymya yth pqydyth hla bthryhwn wthhkyn dykhtsdwn bkhqla msthkla thha
Let your eyes be on the field that they reap, and go after them. Haven’t I commanded the young men not to touch you? When you are thirsty, go to the vessels, and drink from that which the young men have drawn.”

ונפלת על אפהא וסגידת על ארעא ואמרת ליה מה דין אשכחית רחמין בעינך לאשתמודעותני ואנא מעמא נוכראה מבנתהון דמואב ומעמא דלא אדכי למיעל בקהלא דיי:
dyy bqhla lmyel adky dla wmema dmwab mbnthhwn nwkrah mema wana lashthmwdewthny beynk rkhmyn ashkkhyth dyn mh lyh wamrth area el wsgydth apha el wnplth
Then she fell on her face and bowed herself to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your sight, that you should take knowledge of me, since I am a foreigner?”

ואתיב בועז ואמר לה אתחואה אתחוא לי על מימר חכימיא דכד גזר יי לא גזר על נוקביא אלהין על גובריא ואתאמר עלי בנבואה דעתידין למפק מינך מלכין ונביאין בגין טיבותא דעבדת עם חמתיך דפרנסת יתה בתר דמית בעליך ושבקת דחלתיך ועמיך אבוך ואמיך וארע ילדותיך ואזלת לאתגירא ולמתב בין עם דלא אשתמודע ליך מאתמלי ומדקמוהי:
wmdqmwhy mathmly lyk ashthmwde dla em byn wlmthb lathgyra wazlth yldwthyk ware wamyk abwk wemyk dkhlthyk wshbqth belyk dmyth bthr ythh dprnsth khmthyk em debdth Tybwtha bgyn wnbyayn mlkyn mynk lmpq dethydyn bnbwah ely wathamr gwbrya el alhyn nwqbya el gzr la yy gzr dkd khkymya mymr el ly athkhwa athkhwah lh wamr bwez wathyb
Boaz answered her, “I have been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father, your mother, and the land of your birth, and have come to a people that you didn’t know before.

יגמול יי ליך גמול טב בעלמא הדין על עובדך טב ויהי אגריך שלים לעלמא דאתי מן קדם יי אלהא דישראל דאתת לאתגירא ולאתחבאה תחות טלל שכינת יקריה ובההיא זכותא תשתיזבי מן דין גיהנם למהוי חולקיך עם שרה ורבקה ורחל ולאה:
wlah wrkhl wrbqh shrh em khwlqyk lmhwy gyhnm dyn mn thshthyzby zkwtha wbhhya yqryh shkynth Tll thkhwth wlathkhbah lathgyra dathth dyshral alha yy qdm mn dathy lelma shlym agryk wyhy Tb ewbdk el hdyn belma Tb gmwl lyk yy ygmwl
May Yahweh repay your work, and a full reward be given to you from Yahweh, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”

ואמרת אשכח רחמין בעינך רבוני ארום ניחמתני לאכשרותני למדכי למיעל בקהלא דיי וארום מלילתא תנחומין על לבא דאמתך דאבטחתני למחסן עלמא דאתי הי כצדיקתא ואנא לית לי זכו למהוי לי חולקא לעלמא דאתי אפילו עם חדא מן אמהתך:
amhthk mn khda em apylw dathy lelma khwlqa ly lmhwy zkw ly lyth wana ktsdyqtha hy dathy elma lmkhsn dabTkhthny damthk lba el thnkhwmyn mlyltha warwm dyy bqhla lmyel lmdky lakshrwthny nykhmthny arwm rbwny beynk rkhmyn ashkkh wamrth
Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not as one of your servants.”

ואמר לה בועז לעדן סעודתא קריבי הלכא ותיכלין מן לחמא וטמישי סעדיך בתבשילא דאתבשל בחלא ויתיבת מסטר חצודיא ואושיט לה קמח קלי ואכלת ושבעת ואשארת:
washarth wshbeth waklth qly qmkh lh wawshyT khtswdya msTr wythybth bkhla dathbshl bthbshyla sedyk wTmyshy lkhma mn wthyklyn hlka qryby sewdtha ledn bwez lh wamr
At meal time Boaz said to her, “Come here, and eat some bread, and dip your morsel in the vinegar.” She sat beside the reapers, and they passed her parched grain. She ate, was satisfied, and left some of it.

וקמת למצבר שובלין ופקיד בועז ית עולימוי למימר אף ביני אלומיא תהא צברא ולא תכספונה:
thkspwnh wla tsbra thha alwmya byny ap lmymr ewlymwy yth bwez wpqyd shwblyn lmtsbr wqmth
When she had risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and don’t reproach her.

ואף מתר תתירון לה מן אסיריא ותשבקון למהוי צברא ולא תנזפון בה:
bh thnzpwn wla tsbra lmhwy wthshbqwn asyrya mn lh ththyrwn mthr wap
Also pull out some for her from the bundles, and leave it. Let her glean, and don’t rebuke her.”

וצברת שובלין בחקלא עד רמשא ודשת ית שובלין דצברת והוה שיעורהון כתלת סאין סעורין:
sewryn sayn kthlth shyewrhwn whwh dtsbrth shwblyn yth wdshth rmsha ed bkhqla shwblyn wtsbrth
So she gleaned in the field until evening; and she beat out that which she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.

וסוברת ועלת לקרתא וחזת חמותה ית מה דכנשת ואפיקת מן תרמילא ויהבת לה ית מזונא דאשתאר לה משבעה:
mshbeh lh dashthar mzwna yth lh wyhbth thrmyla mn wapyqth dknshth mh yth khmwthh wkhzth lqrtha welth wswbrth
She took it up, and went into the city. Then her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned; and she brought out and gave to her that which she had left after she had enough.

ואמרת לה חמותה לאן צברת יומא דין ולאן אשתדלת למעבד יהי גוברא דאשתמודע ליך מברך וחויאת לחמתה ית דאשתדלת למעבד עמיה ואמרת שום גברא דאשתדלית למעבד עמיה יומא דין מתקרי בועז:
bwez mthqry dyn ywma emyh lmebd dashthdlyth gbra shwm wamrth emyh lmebd dashthdlth yth lkhmthh wkhwyath mbrk lyk dashthmwde gwbra yhy lmebd ashthdlth wlan dyn ywma tsbrth lan khmwthh lh wamrth
Her mother-in-law said to her, “Where have you gleaned today? Where have you worked? Blessed be he who noticed you.” She told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, “The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz.”

ואמרת נעמי לכלתה מבורך הוא מפום קודשא דיי דלא שבק טיבותיה עם חייא ועם מתיא ואמרת לה נעמי קריב לנא גוברא מפריקנא הוא:
hwa mpryqna gwbra lna qryb nemy lh wamrth mthya wem khyya em Tybwthyh shbq dla dyy qwdsha mpwm hwa mbwrk lklthh nemy wamrth
Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by Yahweh, who has not abandoned his kindness to the living and to the dead.” Naomi said to her, “The man is a close relative to us, one of our near kinsmen.”

ואמרת רות מואביתא אף ארום אמר לי עם רביא דילי תתוספין עד זמן דכדי ישיצון ית כל חצדא דילי:
dyly khtsda kl yth yshytswn dkdy zmn ed ththwspyn dyly rbya em ly amr arwm ap mwabytha rwth wamrth
Ruth the Moabitess said, “Yes, he said to me, ‘You shall stay close to my young men until they have finished all my harvest.’”

ואמרת נעמי לרות כלתה שפיר ברתי ארום תפקין עם עולימתוי ולא יערעון ביך בחקל אחרן:
akhrn bkhql byk yerewn wla ewlymthwy em thpqyn arwm brthy shpyr klthh lrwth nemy wamrth
Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, “It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his maidens, and that they not harm you in any other field.”

ואדבקת בעולימתוי דבועז למצבר עד דשיצי חצד סעורין וחצד חטין ויתיבת עם חמתה:
khmthh em wythybth khTyn wkhtsd sewryn khtsd dshytsy ed lmtsbr dbwez bewlymthwy wadbqth
So she stayed close to the maidens of Boaz, to glean to the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and she lived with her mother-in-law.
