ܡܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܐܡܪ ܢܩܘܐ ܒܗ ܒܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܬܬܝܬܪ
ththythr dTybwth' bkhTyth' bh nqw' n'mr hkyl mn'
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

ܚܣ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܝܬܢ ܠܚܛܝܬܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܢܚܐ ܒܗ ܬܘܒ
thwb bh nkh' 'ykn' lkhTyth' dmythn gyr 'ylyn khs
May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܥܡܕܢ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܡܘܬܗ ܗܘ ܥܡܕܢ
emdn hw bmwthh mshykh' byshwe demdn d'ylyn 'nthwn ydeyn l' 'w
Or don’t you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

ܐܬܩܒܪܢ ܥܡܗ ܒܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܩܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܒܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܕܐܒܘܗܝ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܒܚܝܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܢܗܠܟ
nhlk khdth' bkhy' khnn 'p hkn' d'bwhy bthshbwkhth' myth' byth mn mshykh' yshwe dqm d'ykn' lmwth' bmemwdyth' emh 'thqbrn
We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܟܚܕ ܐܬܢܨܒܢ ܥܡܗ ܒܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܡܘܬܗ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܒܩܝܡܬܗ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' bqymthh 'p hkn' dmwthh bdmwth' emh 'thntsbn 'kkhd gyr 'n
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;

ܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܪܢܫܢ ܥܬܝܩܐ ܐܙܕܩܦ ܥܡܗ ܕܢܬܒܛܠ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܢܫܡܫ ܠܚܛܝܬܐ
lkhTyth' nshmsh l' dthwb dkhTyth' pgr' dnthbTl emh 'zdqp ethyq' dbrnshn gyr ydeynn
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܚܪܪ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܚܛܝܬܐ
khTyth' mn lh 'thkhrr gyr dmyth 'yn'
For he who has died has been freed from sin.

ܐܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܝܬܢ ܥܡ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܗܝܡܢ ܕܥܡܗ ܥܡ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܚܐ
nkh' mshykh' em demh nhymn mshykh' em mythn hkyl 'n
But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;

ܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܩܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܡܐܬ ܘܡܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܬܠܛ ܒܗ
bh mshthlT l' wmwth' m'th l' wthwb myth' byth mn qm dmshykh' gyr ydeynn
knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him!

ܕܡܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܠܚܛܝܬܐ ܗܘ ܡܝܬ ܚܕܐ ܙܒܢ ܘܕܚܝ ܚܝ ܗܘ ܠܐܠܗܐ
l'lh' hw khy wdkhy zbn khd' myth hw lkhTyth' gyr dmyth
For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܚܫܘܒܘ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܕܡܝܬܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܚܛܝܬܐ ܘܚܝܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' yshwe bmrn l'lh' 'nthwn wkhy' lkhTyth' 'nthwn dmyth' npshkwn khshwbw 'nthwn 'p hkn'
Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܡܠܟ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܒܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܬܫܬܡܥܘܢ ܠܪܓܝܓܬܗ
lrgygthh dthshthmewn 'yk myth' bpgrkwn khTyth' thmlk hkyl l'
Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

ܘܐܦ ܠܐ ܬܛܝܒܘܢ ܗܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܙܝܢܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܠܚܛܝܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܛܝܒܘ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܡܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܚܝܝܬܘܢ ܘܗܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܙܝܢܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܟܐܢܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ

Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

ܘܚܛܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܬܠܛܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܬܝܟܘܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܠܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ
Tybwth' thkhyth 'l' nmws' thkhyth 'ythykwn gyr l' elykwn mshthlT' l' wkhTyth'
For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.

ܡܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܚܛܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܠܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܚܣ
khs Tybwth' thkhyth 'l' nmws' thkhyth hwyn dl' nkhT' hkyl mn'
What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? May it never be!

ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܠܡܢ ܕܡܛܝܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܕܬܫܬܡܥܘܢ ܠܗ ܠܥܒܕܘܬܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܗܘ ܕܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܗ ܐܢ ܠܚܛܝܬܐ ܘܐܢ ܠܡܫܡܥ ܐܕܢܐ ܕܟܐܢܘܬܐ
dk'nwth' 'dn' lmshme w'n lkhTyth' 'n lh 'nthwn dmshthmeyn dhw ebd' 'nthwn dylh lebdwth' lh dthshthmewn npshkwn 'nthwn dmTybyn dlmn 'nthwn ydeyn l'
Don’t you know that when you present yourselves as servants and obey someone, you are the servants of whomever you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?

ܛܝܒܘ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ ܘܐܫܬܡܥܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܠܒܐ ܠܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܐܫܬܠܡܬܘܢ ܠܗ
lh d'shthlmthwn dywlpn' ldmwth' lb' mn w'shthmethwn dkhTyth' hwythwn debd' l'lh' dyn Tybw
But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were bondservants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were delivered.

ܘܟܕ ܐܬܚܪܪܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܐܫܬܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܠܟܐܢܘܬܐ
lk'nwth' 'shthebdthwn khTyth' mn 'thkhrrthwn wkd
Being made free from sin, you became bondservants of righteousness.

ܐܝܟ ܕܒܝܬ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܟܪܝܗܘܬܐ ܕܒܣܪܟܘܢ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܛܝܒܬܘܢ ܗܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܠܥܒܕܘܬܐ ܕܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܘܕܥܘܠܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܛܝܒܘ ܗܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܠܥܒܕܘܬܐ ܕܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܘܕܩܕܝܫܘܬܐ
wdqdyshwth' dk'nwth' lebdwth' hdmykwn Tybw hsh' 'p hkn' wdewl' dTnpwth' lebdwth' hdmykwn dTybthwn d'ykn' dbsrkwn kryhwth' mTl 'n' 'mr bnynsh' dbyth 'yk
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.

ܟܕ ܥܒܕܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ ܡܚܪܪܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܠܟܐܢܘܬܐ
lk'nwth' hwythwn mkhrr' dkhTyth' gyr hwythwn ebd' kd
For when you were servants of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

ܘܡܢܐ ܐܕܫܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ ܒܗܬܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗ ܚܪܬܗ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܡܘܬܐ
mwth' 'ythyh gyr khrthh bh 'nthwn bhthyn dywmn' 'yn' hydyn lkwn hw' 'yth 'dsh' wmn'
What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

ܘܗܫܐ ܕܐܬܚܪܪܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܦܐܪܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܚܪܬܗܘܢ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ
dlelm khy' dkhrthhwn qdysh' p'r' lkwn 'yth l'lh' ebd' whwythwn khTyth' mn d'thkhrrthwn whsh'
But now, being made free from sin, and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification, and the result of eternal life.

ܬܐܓܘܪܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ ܡܘܬܐ ܗܘ ܘܡܘܗܒܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' yshwe bmrn dlelm khy' d'lh' wmwhbthh hw mwth' dkhTyth' dyn th'gwrth'
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
