ܡܛܠ ܕܐܙܕܕܩܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܫܠܡܐ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' yshwe bmrn 'lh' lwth shlm' ln nhw' bhymnwth' hkyl d'zddqn mTl
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

ܕܒܗ ܐܬܩܪܒܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܠܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܒܗ ܩܝܡܝܢܢ ܘܡܫܬܒܗܪܝܢܢ ܒܣܒܪܐ ܕܬܫܒܘܚܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' dthshbwkhthh bsbr' wmshthbhrynn qymynn dbh hd' lTybwth' bhymnwth' 'thqrbn dbh
through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

ܘܠܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܒܐܘܠܨܢܝܢ ܡܫܬܒܗܪܝܢܢ ܕܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܡܣܝܒܪܢܘܬܐ ܓܡܪ ܒܢ
bn gmr msybrnwth' d'wltsn' dydeynn mshthbhrynn b'wltsnyn 'p 'l' blkhwd hkn' wl'
Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;

ܘܡܣܝܒܪܢܘܬܐ ܒܘܩܝܐ ܘܒܘܩܝܐ ܣܒܪܐ
sbr' wbwqy' bwqy' wmsybrnwth'
and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope:

ܣܒܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܡܒܗܬ ܡܛܠ ܕܚܘܒܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܫܦܥ ܥܠ ܠܒܘܬܢ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܕܐܬܝܗܒܬ ܠܢ
ln d'thyhbth dqwdsh' brwkh' lbwthn el mshpe d'lh' dkhwbh mTl mbhth l' dyn sbr'
and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܛܠ ܟܪܝܗܘܬܢ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܗܢܐ ܚܠܦ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܡܝܬ

For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

ܠܡܚܣܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܫ ܚܠܦ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܡܐܬ ܚܠܦ ܛܒܐ ܓܝܪ ܛܟ ܡܡܪܚ ܐܢܫ ܠܡܡܬ
lmmth 'nsh mmrkh Tk gyr Tb' khlp m'th rshye' khlp 'nsh gyr lmkhsn
For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a righteous person someone would even dare to die.

ܗܪܟܐ ܡܚܘܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܚܘܒܗ ܕܠܘܬܢ ܕܐܢ ܟܕ ܚܛܝܐ ܐܝܬܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܚܠܦܝܢ ܡܝܬ
myth khlpyn mshykh' hwyn 'ythyn khTy' kd d'n dlwthn khwbh 'lh' mkhw' hrk'
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

ܟܡܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܢܙܕܕܩ ܗܫܐ ܒܕܡܗ ܘܒܗ ܢܬܦܨܐ ܡܢ ܪܘܓܙܐ
rwgz' mn nthpts' wbh bdmh hsh' nzddq ythyr'yth hkyl km'
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through him.

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܟܕ ܐܝܬܝܢ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܐܬܪܥܝ ܥܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܡܘܬܐ ܕܒܪܗ ܟܡܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܒܬܪܥܘܬܗ ܢܚܐ ܒܚܝܘܗܝ
bkhywhy nkh' bthrewthh ythyr'yth hkyl km' dbrh bmwth' 'lh' emn 'threy beldbb' 'ythyn kd gyr 'n
For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.

ܘܠܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܢܫܬܒܗܪ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܒܝܕ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܒܗ ܗܘ ܗܫܐ ܩܒܠܢ ܬܪܥܘܬܐ
threwth' qbln hsh' hw dbh mshykh' yshwe mrn byd b'lh' nshthbhr 'p 'l' blkhwd hkn' wl'
Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܝܕ ܚܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܥܠܬ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܘܒܝܕ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܡܘܬܐ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܥܒܪ ܡܘܬܐ ܒܗܝ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܚܛܘ
khTw dklhwn bhy mwth' ebr 'nsh' bny bklhwn whkn' mwth' khTyth' wbyd lelm' khTyth' elth brnsh' khd dbyd gyr 'ykn'
Therefore as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.

ܥܕܡܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܢܡܘܣܐ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܠܐ ܚܫܝܒܐ ܗܘܬ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܢܡܘܣܐ
nmws' hw' dlyth mTl khTyth' hwth khshyb' l' belm' hwth 'ythyh kd khTyth' lnmws' gyr edm'
For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.

ܐܠܐ ܐܡܠܟ ܡܘܬܐ ܡܢ ܐܕܡ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܘܫܐ ܐܦ ܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܚܛܘ ܒܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܪ ܢܡܘܣܗ ܕܐܕܡ ܗܘ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܗܘ ܕܥܬܝܕ
dethyd dhw dmwth' d'ythwhy hw d'dm nmwsh debr bdmwth' khTw dl' 'ylyn el 'p lmwsh' wedm' 'dm mn mwth' 'mlk 'l'
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren’t like Adam’s disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.

ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܫܘܪܥܬܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܛܠ ܫܘܪܥܬܗ ܕܚܕ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܝܬܘ ܟܡܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܡܘܗܒܬܗ ܡܛܠ ܚܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܣܓܝܐܐ ܬܬܝܬܪ
ththythr bsgy'' mshykh' yshwe brnsh' khd mTl wmwhbthh d'lh' Tybwthh ythyr'yth hkyl km' mythw sgy'' dkhd shwrethh mTl gyr 'n mwhbth' hkn' shwreth' 'yk hw' l' 'l'
But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.

ܘܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܣܟܠܘܬܐ ܕܚܕ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܕܝܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܘܝܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܚܛܗܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܟܐܢܘ
lk'nw hwth sgy'' khTh' mn dyn mwhbth' hw' lkhwyb' khd mn dhw' gyr dyn' mwhbth' hkn' dkhd sklwth' 'yk wl'
The gift is not as through one who sinned: for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses to justification.

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܛܠ ܣܟܠܘܬܐ ܕܚܕ ܐܡܠܟ ܡܘܬܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܢܣܒܘ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܕܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܘܕܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܒܚܝܐ ܢܡܠܟܘܢ ܒܝܕ ܚܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' yshwe khd byd nmlkwn bkhy' wdk'nwth' wdmwhbth' dTybwth' swg'' dnsbw 'ylyn ythyr'yth mwth' 'mlk dkhd sklwth' mTl gyr 'n
For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.

ܐܟܙܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܡܛܠ ܣܟܠܘܬܐ ܕܚܕ ܗܘܐ ܚܘܝܒܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܕܚܕ ܬܗܘܐ ܙܟܘܬܐ ܠܚܝܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ
bnynsh' lklhwn lkhy' zkwth' thhw' dkhd k'nwth' mTl hkn' bnynsh' lklhwn khwyb' hw' dkhd sklwth' dmTl hkyl 'kzn'
So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܛܠ ܠܐ ܡܫܬܡܥܢܘܬܗ ܕܚܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܚܛܝܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܗܘܘ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܡܛܠ ܡܫܬܡܥܢܘܬܗ ܕܚܕ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܟܐܢܐ ܗܘܝܢ
hwyn k'n' sgy'' dkhd mshthmenwthh mTl 'p hkn' hww sgy'' khTy' brnsh' dkhd mshthmenwthh l' dmTl gyr 'ykn'
For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.

ܡܥܠܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܗܘܐ ܠܢܡܘܣܐ ܕܬܣܓܐ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܘܟܪ ܕܣܓܝܬ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܬܡܢ ܐܬܝܬܪܬ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ
Tybwth' 'thythrth thmn khTyth' dsgyth wkr khTyth' dthsg' lnmws' dhw' dyn meln'
The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;

ܕܐܝܟ ܕܐܡܠܟܬ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܒܡܘܬܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܡܠܟ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܒܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܠܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܒܝܕ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' yshwe mrn byd dlelm lkhy' bk'nwth' Tybwth' thmlk hkn' bmwth' khTyth' d'mlkth d'yk
that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
