ܐܠܗܐ ܬܒܘܥܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܬܒܘܥܐ ܐܬܓܠܝ

Yahweh, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.

ܐܬܬܪܝܡ ܕܝܢܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܐܗܦܟ ܦܘܪܥܢܐ ܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܓܐܝܢ
dmthg'yn 'ylyn el pwren' w'hpk d're' dynh 'ththrym
Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.

ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܡܬܝ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܡܬܝ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܡܫܬܒܗܪܝܢ
mshthbhryn rshye' l'mthy edm' mry' rshye' l'mthy edm'
Yahweh, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?

ܓܣܝܢ ܘܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܟܠ ܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܥܘܠܐ
ewl' ebdy kl w'mryn ewl' wmmllyn gsyn
They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

ܕܡܟܟܘ ܠܥܡܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܝܪܬܘܬܟ ܫܥܒܕܘ
shebdw wlyrthwthk mry' lemk dmkkw
They break your people in pieces, Yahweh, and afflict your heritage.

ܠܐܪ̈ܡܠܬܐ ܘܠܥܡܘܪ̈ܐ ܩܛܠܘ ܘܠܝܬ̈ܡܐ ܚܪܒܘ
khrbw wlythm' qTlw wlemwr' l'rmlth'
They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.

ܘܐܡܪܘ ܕܠܐ ܚܙܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܣܬܟܠ ܐܠܗܗ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ
dyeqwb 'lhh msthkl wl' mry' khz' dl' w'mrw
They say, “Yah will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”

ܐܣܬܟܠܘ ܫ̈ܛܝܐ ܕܥܡܐ ܣܟ̈ܠܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܡܬܝ ܠܐ ܡܣܬܟܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn msthklyn l' l'mthy edm' skl' dem' shTy' 'sthklw
Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

ܗܘ ܕܢܨܒ ܐ̈ܕܢܐ ܕܠܡܐ ܠܐ ܫܡܥ ܗܘ ܕܒܪܐ ܥܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܠܡܐ ܠܐ ܡܣܬܟܠ
msthkl l' dlm' eyn' dbr' hw shme l' dlm' 'dn' dntsb hw
He who implanted the ear, won’t he hear? He who formed the eye, won’t he see?

ܗܘ ܕܪܕܐ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܠܡܐ ܠܐ ܡܟܣ ܗܘ ܕܡܠܦ ܠܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܝܕܥܬܐ
ydeth' 'nsh' lbr dmlp hw mks l' dlm' emm' drd' hw
He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.

ܡܪܝܐ ܝܕܥ ܡܚܫܒ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܕܒܢܝܢܫ̈ܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܗܓܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn dlhg' mTl dbnynsh' mkhshbthhwn yde mry'
Yahweh knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.

ܛܘܒܘܗܝ ܠܒܪܢܫܐ ܕܬܪܕܝܘܗܝ ܐܢܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܢܡܘܣܟ ܬܠܦܝܘܗܝ

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, and teach out of your law,

ܘܬܢܝܚܝܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܬܚܦܪ ܠܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܓܘܡܨܐ
gwmts' lrshye' dnthkhpr edm' bysh' ywmth' mn wthnykhywhy
that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܡܪܦܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܡܗ ܘܠܝܪܬܘܬܗ ܠܐ ܫܒܩ
shbq l' wlyrthwthh lemh mry' mrp' dl' mTl
For Yahweh won’t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܬܪ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܗܦܟ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܒܬܪܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܝ ܠܒܐ
lb' thrytsy klhwn wbthrh dyn' hpk zdyq' dbthr mTl
For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.

ܡܢܘ ܢܩܘܡ ܠܝ ܥܡ ܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܘܡܢܘ ܢܬܛܝܒ ܠܝ ܥܡ ܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܥܘܠܐ
ewl' ebdy em ly nthTyb wmnw bysh' em ly nqwm mnw
Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?

ܐܠܘ ܠܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܥܕܘܪܐ ܥܕ ܩܠܝܠ ܫܪܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܢܦܫܝ ܒܕܐܘܘܢܐ
bd'wwn' npshy hwth shry' qlyl ed edwr' ly dhw' mry' l' 'lw
Unless Yahweh had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.

ܐܢܐ ܐܡܪܬ ܕܡ̈ܛܝ ܪ̈ܓܠܝ ܘܛܝܒܘܬܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܣܡܟܬܢܝ

When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up.

ܒܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܟܐ̈ܒܘܗܝ ܕܠܒܝ ܒܘ̈ܝܐܝܟ ܦܪܩܘܗ̇ ܠܢܦܫܝ

In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

ܠܐ ܢܚܒܪ ܥܡܟ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܕܓܒܠܘ ܥܘܠܐ ܥܠ ܢܡܘܣܟ
nmwsk el ewl' dgblw dewl' kwrsy' emk nkhbr l'
Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?

ܘܨܠܝܢ ܠܡܨܕ ܢܦܫܗ ܕܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܕܡܗ ܕܙܟܝܐ ܡܚܝܒܝܢ
mkhybyn dzky' wdmh dzdyq' npshh lmtsd wtslyn
They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

ܘܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܥܫܢܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܬܩܝܦܐ ܡܥܕܪܢܐ
medrn' thqyp' 'lh' meshnn' mry' ly whw'
But Yahweh has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.
