שירא ותושבחתא על ידיהון דבני קרח על צלותא לשבחא שכלא טבא על ידוי דהימן יציבא:
ytsyba dhymn ydwy el Tba shkla lshbkha tslwtha el qrkh dbny ydyhwn el wthwshbkhtha shyra
Yahweh, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you.

יי אלהא פורקניה יימם קבלית בליליא צלותי לקבלך:
lqblk tslwthy blylya qblyth yymm pwrqnyh alha yy
Let my prayer enter into your presence. Turn your ear to my cry.

תעול קדמך צלותי אצלי אודנך לבעותי: :
lbewthy awdnk atsly tslwthy qdmk thewl
For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to Sheol.

ארום שבעת בבישן נפשי וחיי לשיול מטו:
mTw lshywl wkhyy npshy bbyshn shbeth arwm
I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help,

אתחשבית עם נחתי בית אסירי הויתי היך בר נש דלית ליה חילא:
khyla lyh dlyth nsh br hyk hwythy asyry byth nkhthy em athkhshbyth
set apart among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more. They are cut off from your hand.

היך רשיעיא דמיתו ולא תבו יתעבדו בני חורין מן מצותא היך קטילין דחרבא שכבי בית קבורתא דלא דכרתנון תוב והנון מאפי שכנתך אתפלגון:
athplgwn shknthk mapy whnwn thwb dkrthnwn dla qbwrtha byth shkby dkhrba qTylyn hyk mtswtha mn khwryn bny ythebdw thbw wla dmythw rshyeya hyk
You have laid me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths.

שויתא יתי בגלותא דמתילא לגובא ארעיתא בחשוכיא במצולתא:
bmtswltha bkhshwkya areytha lgwba dmthyla bglwtha ythy shwytha
Your wrath lies heavily on me. You have afflicted me with all your waves. Selah.

עלי סמכת חמתך וכל גזירן בישן תברו יתי סגפתא לעלמין:
lelmyn sgptha ythy thbrw byshn gzyrn wkl khmthk smkth ely
You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can’t escape.

ארחקתא מיודעי מני שויתא יתי ריחוקין להון כלוא בבית אסירי ולא אפוק:
apwq wla asyry bbyth klwa lhwn rykhwqyn ythy shwytha mny mywdey arkhqtha
My eyes are dim from grief. I have called on you daily, Yahweh. I have spread out my hands to you.

עיני זלגת דמעין מן עניתא קריתך יי בכל יומא פרסית לותך בצלו ידי:
ydy btslw lwthk prsyth ywma bkl yy qrythk enytha mn dmeyn zlgth eyny
Do you show wonders to the dead? Do the departed spirits rise up and praise you? Selah.

האפשר די למיתיא תעביד פרישן אין גושמיא דאתמסיאו בעפרא יקומון יודון קדמך לעלמין:
lelmyn qdmk ywdwn yqwmwn bepra dathmsyaw gwshmya ayn pryshn thebyd lmythya dy hapshr
Is your loving kindness declared in the grave? Or your faithfulness in Destruction?

האפשר די יתחוי בבית קבורתא טובך קושטא בבית אבדנא:
abdna bbyth qwshTa Twbk qbwrtha bbyth ythkhwy dy hapshr
Are your wonders made known in the dark? Or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

האפשר די תודעו בחשך גהנם פרישותך וצדקתך דצחותא וצדיא:
wtsdya dtskhwtha wtsdqthk pryshwthk ghnm bkhshk thwdew dy hapshr
But to you, Yahweh, I have cried. In the morning, my prayer comes before you.

ואנא קדמך יי צליתי ובצפרא צלותי תקדמינך:
thqdmynk tslwthy wbtspra tslythy yy qdmk wana
Yahweh, why do you reject my soul? Why do you hide your face from me?

למה יי שבקתא נפשי תעלים אפך מני דלא אחמי בנהורך נהורא:
nhwra bnhwrk akhmy dla mny apk thelym npshy shbqtha yy lmh
I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up. While I suffer your terrors, I am distracted.
16
עניא אנא ונגיד מן טליא סוברית רחימתך טעינא עלי:
ely Teyna rkhymthk swbryth Tlya mn wngyd ana enya
Your fierce wrath has gone over me. Your terrors have cut me off.

עלי עברו רוגזיך בעתיך שיציאו יתי:
ythy shytsyaw bethyk rwgzyk ebrw ely
They came around me like water all day long. They completely engulfed me.
18
אחזרו יתי היך מוי כל יומא אקיפון עלי כחדא:
kkhda ely aqypwn ywma kl mwy hyk ythy akhzrw
You have put lover and friend far from me, and my friends into darkness.
