ܐܠܗܐ ܠܡܢܐ ܛܥܝܬܢܝ ܠܥܠܡ ܘܐܥܫܢܬ ܪܘܓܙܟ ܒܥܢܐ ܕܡܪܥܝܬܟ
dmreythk ben' rwgzk w'eshnth lelm Teythny lmn' 'lh'
God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?

ܐܬܕܟܪ ܥܕܬܟ ܕܩܢܝܬ ܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܘܦܪܩܬ ܫܒܛܐ ܕܝܪܬܘܬܟ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܨܗܝܘܢ ܗܢܐ ܕܫܪܝܬ ܒܗ
bh dshryth hn' dtshywn Twr' dyrthwthk shbT' wprqth qdym mn dqnyth edthk 'thdkr
Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance: Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

ܐܪܝܡ ܥܒ̈ܕܝܟ ܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܩܠܝܢ ܒܥܘܫܢܟ ܟܠ ܕܡܒܐܫ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܠܩܘܕܫܟ
lqwdshk beldbb' dmb'sh kl bewshnk dmshthqlyn 'ylyn el ebdyk 'rym
Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.

ܐܫܬܒܗܪܘ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝܟ ܒܓܘ ܥܐܕܟ ܥܒܕܘ ܐ̈ܬܘܬܗܘܢ ܐ̈ܬܘܬܐ
'thwth' 'thwthhwn ebdw e'dk bgw beldbbyk 'shthbhrw
Your adversaries have roared in the middle of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.

ܘܝܕܥܬ ܐܝܟ ܡܥܠܝܐ ܕܠܥܠ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܐ ܕܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܒܢܪ̈ܓܐ
bnrg' dqys' eb' 'yk dlel mely' 'yk wydeth
They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees.

ܨܠܚܘ ܬܪ̈ܥܐ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܒ̈ܦܠܩܐ ܘܒ̈ܟܘܠܒܐ

Now they break all its carved work down with hatchet and hammers.

ܐܪܡܝܘ ܘܐܘܩܕܘ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܡܩܕܫܟ ܘܛܘܫܘ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܫܡܟ
dshmk mshkn' b're' wTwshw mqdshk bnwr' w'wqdw 'rmyw
They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.

ܐܡܪܘ ܒܠܒܗܘܢ ܕܢܘܒܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܘܢܘܒܕ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܕܥܐ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ
're' mn d'lh' ede'dwhy klhwn wnwbd 'kkhd' 'nwn dnwbd blbhwn 'mrw
They said in their heart, “We will crush them completely.” They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.

ܐ̈ܬܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܚܙܘ ܠܝܬ ܬܘܒ ܢܒܝܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܐܝܬ ܥܡܢ ܚܟܝܡܐ
khkym' emn 'yth l' 'p nby' thwb lyth khzw l' 'thwthhwn
We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.

ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܡܬܝ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܣܕ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܘܡܪܓܙ ܠܫܡܟ ܠܥܠܡ

How long, God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?

ܠܡܢܐ ܐܗܦܟܬ ܐܝܕܟ ܘܝܡܝܢܟ ܡܢ ܓܘ ܥܐܕܟ
e'dk gw mn wymynk 'ydk 'hpkth lmn'
Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it from your chest and consume them!

ܐܠܗܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܗܘ ܕܥܒܕ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܒܡܨܥܬܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ
d're' bmtsethh pwrqn' debd hw mlk' 'lhn
Yet God is my King of old, working salvation throughout the earth.

ܐܢܬ ܒܥܘܫܢܟ ܦܪܫܬ ܝܡܐ ܘܬܒܪܬ ܪ̈ܝܫܝܗܘܢ ܕܬܢܝ̈ܢܐ ܒܡ̈ܝܐ
bmy' dthnyn' ryshyhwn wthbrth ym' prshth bewshnk 'nth
You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.

ܐܢܬ ܪܨܨܬ ܪ̈ܝܫܘܗܝ ܕܠܘܝܬܢ ܘܝܗܒܬܝܗܝ ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܠܥܡܐ ܥܫܝܢܐ
eshyn' lem' m'kwlth' wyhbthyhy dlwythn ryshwhy rtststh 'nth
You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.

ܐܢܬ ܒܙܥܬ ܡܒ̈ܘܥܐ ܒܢܚ̈ܠܐ ܐܢܬ ܐܘܒܫܬ ܢܗܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܥܫܝ̈ܢܐ
eshyn' nhrwth' 'wbshth 'nth bnkhl' mbwe' bzeth 'nth
You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.

ܕܝܠܟ ܗܘ ܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܕܝܠܟ ܗܘ ܠܠܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܬܩܢܬ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܘܫܡܫܐ
wshmsh' nwhr' thqnth 'nth lly' hw wdylk 'ymm' hw dylk
The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.

ܐܢܬ ܐܩܝܡܬ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܬܚ̈ܘܡܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܩܝܛܐ ܘܣܬܘܐ ܐܢܬ ܒܪܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn bryth 'nth wsthw' qyT' d're' thkhwmyh klhwn 'qymth 'nth
You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.

ܐܬܕܟܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܣܕܗ ܕܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܥܡܐ ܣܟܠܐ ܐܪܓܙ ܠܫܡܟ
lshmk 'rgz skl' em' dbeldbb' khsdh mry' 'thdkr
Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, Yahweh. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.

ܠܐ ܬܬܠ ܠܬܒܪܐ ܢܦܫܐ ܕܡܘܕܝܐ ܠܟ ܘܢܦܫܬ̈ܐ ܕܡܣ̈ܟܢܝܟ ܠܐ ܬܛܥܐ ܠܥܠܡ
lelm thTe' l' dmsknyk wnpshth' lk dmwdy' npsh' lthbr' ththl l'
Don’t deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Don’t forget the life of your poor forever.

ܚܘܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܩܝܡܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܬ̈ܡܠܝ ܕܝܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܘܥܘܠܐ
wewl' khshwk' d're' dyr' d'thmly mTl bqymk mry' khwr
Honor your covenant, for haunts of violence fill the dark places of the earth.

ܠܐ ܢܬܒ ܡܣܟܢܐ ܟܕ ܒܗܝܬ ܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܘܡ̈ܣܟܢܐ ܢܫܒܚܘܢ ܠܫܡܟ
lshmk nshbkhwn wmskn' bysh' bhyth kd mskn' nthb l'
Don’t let the oppressed return ashamed. Let the poor and needy praise your name.

ܩܘܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܕܘܢ ܕܝܢܝ̈ܟ ܘܐܬܕܟܪ ܚܣܕܟ ܕܡܢ ܣܟ̈ܠܐ ܕܟܠ ܝܘܡ

Arise, God! Plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.
