ܐܠܗܐ ܛܒ ܠܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ ܘܠܒܪ̈ܝܪܝ ܠܒܐ
lb' wlbryry l'ysr'yl Tb 'lh'
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

ܘܐܢܐ ܥܕ ܩܠܝܠ ܡܨ̈ܛܠܝܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܪ̈ܓܠܝ ܘܐܝܟ ܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܡܬܐܫ̈ܕܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܗ̈ܠܟܬܝ
hlkthy hwy mth'shdn mdm l' w'yk rgly hwy mtsTlyn qlyl ed w'n'
But as for me, my feet were almost gone. My steps had nearly slipped.

ܡܛܠ ܕܛܢܬ ܒܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܫܠܡܐ ܠܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ
lrshye' shlm' hwyth khz' kd bewl' dTnth mTl
For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

ܡܛܠ ܕܠܝܬ ܣܟܐ ܠܡܘܬܗܘܢ ܘܣܓܝܐܐ ܗܝ ܫܛܝܘܬܗܘܢ
shTywthhwn hy wsgy'' lmwthhwn sk' dlyth mTl
For there are no struggles in their death, but their strength is firm.

ܒܥܡܠܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܠܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܥܡ ܒ̈ܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܠܐ ܡܬܢܓܕܝܢ
mthngdyn l' 'nsh' bny wem 'nwn lyth d'nsh' beml'
They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܚܕܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܒܣܪܢܘܬܐ ܘܐܬܟܣܝ ܥܘܠܗܘܢ ܘܪܘܫܥܗܘܢ
wrwshehwn ewlhwn w'thksy mbsrnwth' 'nwn 'khdth hn' mTl
Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.

ܘܢܦܩ ܐܝܟ ܬܪܒܐ ܥܘܠܗܘܢ ܘܥܒܕܘ ܐܝܟ ܬܪܥܝܬܐ ܕܠܒܐ
dlb' threyth' 'yk webdw ewlhwn thrb' 'yk wnpq
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.

ܐܬܚܫܒܘ ܘܡܠܠܘ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܛܠܘܡܝܐ ܥܠ ܡܪܝܡܐ ܡܠܠܘ
mllw mrym' el wTlwmy' byshth' wmllw 'thkhshbw
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.

ܣܡܘ ܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܫܢܗܘܢ ܡܗܠܟ ܒܐܪܥܐ
b're' mhlk wlshnhwn bshmy' pwmhwn smw
They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.

ܡܛܘܠ ܗܢܐ ܢܗܦܘܟ ܥܡܝ ܠܗܪܟܐ ܘܡܠܝܐܝܬ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn nshkkhwn wmly'yth lhrk' emy nhpwk hn' mTwl
Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.

ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܐܝܟܢ ܝܕܥ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܝܕܥܬܐ ܒܡܪܝܡܐ
bmrym' ydeth' w'yth 'lh' yde 'ykn wn'mrwn
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”

ܕܗܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܟܗܝܢܝܢ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܘܥܫܝܢܝܢ ܒܚܝܠܐ
bkhyl' weshynyn belm' khynyn rshye' hlyn dh'
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.

ܘܐܢܐ ܒܠܚܘܕܝ ܕܟܝܬ ܠܒܝ ܘܐܫܝܓܬ ܐ̈ܝܕܝ ܒܕܟܝܘܬܐ
bdkywth' 'ydy w'shygth lby dkyth blkhwdy w'n'
Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence,

ܘܗܘܝܬ ܠܡܚܘܬܐ ܟܠܗ ܝܘܡܐ ܘܡܟܣܢܘܬܝ ܒܨܦܪܐ
btspr' wmksnwthy ywm' klh lmkhwth' whwyth
For all day long I have been plagued, and punished every morning.

ܐܢ ܐܡܪܬ ܕܐܥܒܕ ܐܟܘܬܗܘܢ
'kwthhwn d'ebd 'mrth 'n
If I had said, “I will speak thus”, behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.

ܥܕܡܐ ܕܐܥܘܠ ܠܡܩܕܫܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܬܒܝܢ ܒܚܪܬܗܘܢ
bkhrthhwn w'thbyn d'lh' lmqdshh d'ewl edm'
until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.

ܐܝܟ ܢܟܠܗܘܢ ܬܣܝܡ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܬܪܡܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܕ ܢܬܬܪܝܡܘܢ
nththrymwn kd 'nwn wthrm' lhwn thsym nklhwn 'yk
Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.

ܐܝܟܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܬܡܗܐ ܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ ܣܦܘ ܘܓܡܪܘ ܡܢ ܕܠܘܚܝܐ
dlwkhy' mn wgmrw spw shly' mn lthmh' hww 'ykn
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.

ܐܝܟ ܗܘ ܕܡܬܬܥܝܪ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܐ ܚܠܡܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܨܠܡܗܘܢ ܬܫܘܛ
thshwT tslmhwn bqryth' mry' khlm' dkhz' m' dmththeyr hw 'yk
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.

ܘܐܢܐ ܐܬܕܠܚ ܠܒܝ ܘܟܘ̈ܠܝܬܝ ܐܫ̈ܬܢܝ
'shthny wkwlythy lby 'thdlkh w'n'
For my soul was grieved. I was embittered in my heart.

ܘܐܢܐ ܒܪܝܪ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܘܒܥܝܪܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܡܟ
emk hwyth wbeyr' yde wl' hwyth bryr w'n'
I was so senseless and ignorant. I was a brute beast before you.

ܕܐܚܕܬ ܐܝܕܝ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ
dymyn' 'ydy d'khdth
Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand.
24
ܒܬܪܥܝܬܟ ܒܝܐܝܢܝ ܘܒܬܪ ܐܝܩܪܟ ܕܒܪܝܢܝ
dbryny 'yqrk wbthr by'yny bthreythk
You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25
ܡܢܐ ܐܝܬ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܥܡܟ ܘܡܢܐ ܨܒܝܬ ܒܐܪܥܐ
b're' tsbyth wmn' emk bshmy' 'yth mn'
Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.

ܘܓܡܪ ܠܒܝ ܘܒܣܪܝ ܘܥܘܫܢܗ ܕܠܒܝ ܡܢܬܝ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܗܝ ܠܥܠܡ
lelm hy b'lh' mnthy dlby wewshnh wbsry lby wgmr
My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܪ̈ܚܝܩܝܟ ܢܐܒܕܘܢ ܘܬܘܒܕ ܠܟܘܠ ܕܛܥܝܢ ܡܢܟ ܠܥܠܡ
lelm mnk dTeyn lkwl wthwbd n'bdwn rkhyqyk dh' mTl
For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.
