לשבחא על גלות סנהדרין על יד דוד:
dwd yd el snhdryn glwth el lshbkha
Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck!

פרוק יתי אלהא ארום מטו משרית חיבין עד די אעיקין לי היך מיא דמטו עד נפשא:
npsha ed dmTw mya hyk ly aeyqyn dy ed khybyn mshryth mTw arwm alha ythy prwq
I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

טמעית בגלותא היך במיא דמצולתא ולית אתר למקום מטית בעמקי תקוף סיעת רשיעיא ונבוזראדן אגלי יתי:
ythy agly wnbwzradn rshyeya syeth thqwp bemqy mTyth lmqwm athr wlyth dmtswltha bmya hyk bglwtha Tmeyth
I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God.

אשתלהית במקרי אתחרחר ענקי כלו עיני מלאורכא לאלהי:
lalhy mlawrka eyny klw enqy athkhrkhr bmqry ashthlhyth
Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.

סגיעין מן סערן דרישי סנאי מגן תקפו מקניטי בעלי דבבי סהדי שקרא דלא אנסית על סהדותכון הבכן אשלם:
ashlm hbkn shdwthkwn el ansyth dla shqra shdy dbby bely mqnyTy thqpw mgn snay dryshy sern mn sgyeyn
God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren’t hidden from you.

אלהא את ידעתא לטפשותי וסורחנותי מן קדמך לא אתכסיאו:
athksyaw la qdmk mn wswrkhnwthy lTpshwthy ydetha ath alha
Don’t let those who wait for you be shamed through me, Lord Yahweh of Armies. Don’t let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.

לא יבהתון בי דסברין עלך לא יכספון בי דתבעין אולפן מנך אלהא דישראל:
dyshral alha mnk awlpn dthbeyn by ykspwn la elk dsbryn by ybhthwn la
Because for your sake, I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face.

ארום אמטולתך סוברית חסודא חפת כסופא אפי:
apy kswpa khpth khswda swbryth amTwlthk arwm
I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s children.

נוכרי אתחשיבית לאחי והיך בר עמין לבני אמי:
amy lbny emyn br whyk lakhy athkhshybyth nwkry
For the zeal of your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.

ארום טננא דבית מקדשא גמרת יתי וחסודי רשיעיא דמחסדין לך במשתפהון טעותהון לאיקרך נפלו עלי:
ely nplw layqrk Tewthhwn bmshthphwn lk dmkhsdyn rshyeya wkhswdy ythy gmrth mqdsha dbyth Tnna arwm
When I wept and I fasted, that was to my reproach.

ובכית בצומא דנפשי והות חסודתי לקלנא לי:
ly lqlna khswdthy whwth dnpshy btswma wbkyth
When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.

ויהבית תחות כסותי סקא והוית להון למתלא:
lmthla lhwn whwyth sqa kswthy thkhwth wyhbyth
Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.

ימללון עלי יתבי תרעא בית קרנתא וזמריהון דאזלין למשתי מרות בבית קרקסון:
qrqswn bbyth mrwth lmshthy dazlyn wzmryhwn qrntha byth threa ythby ely ymllwn
But as for me, my prayer is to you, Yahweh, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.

ואנא צלותי קדמך יי בעדן רעות אלהא בסגיעי טובך עני יתי בקשוט פורקנך:
pwrqnk bqshwT ythy eny Twbk bsgyey alha rewth bedn yy qdmk tslwthy wana
Deliver me out of the mire, and don’t let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.

פצי יתי מן טינא ולא אטמוע אתפצי מן סנאי דדמין לעומקי מוי:
mwy lewmqy ddmyn snay mn athptsy aTmwe wla Tyna mn ythy ptsy
Don’t let the flood waters overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up. Don’t let the pit shut its mouth on me.

לא יגלי יתי עם תקיף ולא יסלעם למחפי עלי מצולתא חסין ולא תפתח עלי גהנם פומה:
pwmh ghnm ely thpthkh wla khsyn mtswltha ely lmkhpy yslem wla thqyp em ythy ygly la
Answer me, Yahweh, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.

עני יתי יי ארום טב חסדך היך כסגיעות רחמך תסתכל לותי:
lwthy thsthkl rkhmk ksgyewth hyk khsdk Tb arwm yy ythy eny
Don’t hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily!
18
ואל תסתלק שכנתך מעבדך ארום עיק לי סרהב עני יתי:
ythy eny srhb ly eyq arwm mebdk shknthk thsthlq wal
Draw near to my soul and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.
19
קרב לות נפשי פרוק יתה מטול דלא אתרברבו עלי בעלי דבבי פרוק יתי:
ythy prwq dbby bely ely athrbrbw dla mTwl ythh prwq npshy lwth qrb
You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor. My adversaries are all before you.

את ידעתא קלני ובהתי וכסופי לקבלך קיימין כל מעיקי:
meyqy kl qyymyn lqblk wkswpy wbhthy qlny ydetha ath
Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.

קלנא תברת לבי והא היא תקיפא ואמתנית למרי מספדיא וליתיהון ולמרי תנחומין ולא אשכחית:
ashkkhyth wla thnkhwmyn wlmry wlythyhwn mspdya lmry wamthnyth thqypa hya wha lby thbrth qlna
They also gave me poison for my food. In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.

ויהבו בסעודתי מרירת רישי חורמני ולצחותי אשקיאו יתי חלא:
khla ythy ashqyaw wltskhwthy khwrmny ryshy mryrth bsewdthy wyhbw
Let their table before them become a snare. May it become a retribution and a trap.

יהי פתורהון דסדרו קדמי באכלי קדמיהון לקולא ונכסתהון לתקלא:
lthqla wnksthhwn lqwla qdmyhwn bakly qdmy dsdrw pthwrhwn yhy
Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can’t see. Let their backs be continually bent.

יתחשכן עיניהון מן למחמי וחרציהון תדירא תזעזע:
thzeze thdyra wkhrtsyhwn lmkhmy mn eynyhwn ythkhshkn
Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
25
שדי עלויהון רוגזך ותקוף רוגזך ידבקנון:
ydbqnwn rwgzk wthqwp rwgzk elwyhwn shdy
Let their habitation be desolate. Let no one dwell in their tents.

תהי משכנותהון צדיא במשכניהון לא יהי יתיב:
ythyb yhy la bmshknyhwn tsdya mshknwthhwn thhy
For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
27
ארום די אנת מחיתא רדפו ומן דכאיב על קטולך ישתעין:
yshtheyn qTwlk el dkayb wmn rdpw mkhytha anth dy arwm
Charge them with crime upon crime. Don’t let them come into your righteousness.
28
הב עוית על עויתהון ולא ידכון למעל בכנישת צדיקיך:
tsdyqyk bknyshth lmel ydkwn wla ewythhwn el ewyth hb
Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
29
יתמחון מספר דכרן חייא ועם צדיקיא לא יתכתבון:
ythkthbwn la tsdyqya wem khyya dkrn mspr ythmkhwn
But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me.
30
ואנא עניא וכאבא פורקנך אלהא תשזבנני:
thshzbnny alha pwrqnk wkaba enya wana
I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31
אשבח שום אלהא בשירא וארבניה בתודתא:
bthwdtha warbnyh bshyra alha shwm ashbkh
It will please Yahweh better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
32
ותשפר צלותי קדם יי מן תור פטים ובחיר דקריב אדם קדמי דקדימו קרנוי לטלפוהי:
lTlpwhy qrnwy dqdymw qdmy adm dqryb wbkhyr pTym thwr mn yy qdm tslwthy wthshpr
The humble have seen it, and are glad. You who seek after God, let your heart live.

חמון ענותניא ויחדון תבעי אולפן מן קדם אלהא ויחי לבכון:
lbkwn wykhy alha qdm mn awlpn thbey wykhdwn enwthnya khmwn
For Yahweh hears the needy, and doesn’t despise his captive people.

ארום מקבל צלותהון דחשיכי יי ולאסירוי לא בסר:
bsr la wlasyrwy yy dkhshyky tslwthhwn mqbl arwm
Let heaven and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moves therein!
35
ישבחוניה מלאכי שמיא ויתבי ארעא ימיא וכל דרחשין בהון:
bhwn drkhshyn wkl ymya area wythby shmya mlaky yshbkhwnyh
For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it.
36
ארום אלהא יפרוק ציון וישכלל קרוין דיהודה ויתובון תמן וירתונה:
wyrthwnh thmn wythwbwn dyhwdh qrwyn wyshkll tsywn yprwq alha arwm
The children also of his servants shall inherit it. Those who love his name shall dwell therein.
