ܨܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܨܠܘܬܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܗܡܐ ܡܢ ܒܥܘܬܝ
bewthy mn thhm' wl' tslwthy 'lh' tswth
Attend to me, and answer me. I am restless in my complaint, and moan

ܫܡܥܝܢܝ ܘܥܢܝܢܝ ܘܐܬܦܢ ܠܓܥܬܝ ܘܫܡܥܝܢܝ
wshmeyny lgethy w'thpn wenyny shmeyny
because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked. For they bring suffering on me. In anger they hold a grudge against me.

ܡܛܠ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܘܡܛܠ ܐܘܠܨܢܗ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܨܠܘ ܥܠܝ ܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܣܩܪܘܢܝ

My heart is severely pained within me. The terrors of death have fallen on me.

ܘܢܦܠܬ ܒܝ ܕܚܠܬܐ
dkhlth' by wnplth
Fearfulness and trembling have come on me. Horror has overwhelmed me.

ܘܟܣܝܘܢܝ ܛ̈ܠܠܝ ܡܘܬܐ

I said, “Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then I would fly away, and be at rest.

ܘܐܡܪܬ ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܝܗܒ ܠܝ ܓܦ̈ܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܘܢܐ ܦܪܚܬ ܘܫܟܢܬ
wshknth prkhth dywn' 'yk gp' ly yhb dyn mn w'mrth
Behold, then I would wander far off. I would lodge in the wilderness.” Selah.

ܘܐܪܚܩܬ ܦܪܚܬ ܘܫܪܝܬ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ
bmdbr' wshryth prkhth w'rkhqth
“I would hurry to a shelter from the stormy wind and storm.”

ܘܟܬܪܬ ܠܡܢ ܕܡܦܨܐ ܠܝ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܥܠܥܠܐ
delel' rwkh' mn ly dmpts' lmn wkthrth
Confuse them, Lord, and confound their language, for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

ܛܒܥ ܡܪܝ ܗܘܦܟܐ ܕܠܫܢܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܚܙܝܬ ܚܪܝܢܐ ܘܕܝܢܐ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ
bqryth' wdyn' khryn' dkhzyth mTl dlshnyhwn hwpk' mry Tbe
Day and night they prowl around on its walls. Malice and abuse are also within her.

ܒܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܒܠܠܝܐ ܟܪܝܟܝܢ ܠܫܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܫܘܩܪܐ ܒܓܘܗ̇
bgwh wshwqr' ewl' lshwryh krykyn wblly' b'ymm'
Destructive forces are within her. Threats and lies don’t depart from her streets.

ܘܥܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܥܢܕ ܡܢ ܫܘܩ̈ܝܗ̇ ܬܘܟܐ ܘܢܟܠܐ
wnkl' thwk' shwqyh mn end wl' weth'
For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him.

ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܚܣܕܢܝ ܕܐܣܝܒܪ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܣܢܐܝ ܐܬܬܪܝܡ ܥܠܝ ܕܐܛܫܐ ܡܢܗ

But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend.

ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܕܐܟܘܬܝ ܩܪܝܒܝ ܘܪܚܡܝ
wrkhmy qryby d'kwthy brnsh' hw 'nth
We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God’s house with company.

ܕܐܝܟ ܚܕܐ ܠܥܣܢ ܫܪܘܬܐ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܟܕ ܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܒܐܘܝܘܬܐ
b'wywth' hwyn mhlkyn kd d'lh' bbythh shrwth' lesn khd' d'yk
Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is among them, in their dwelling.

ܐܝܬܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܡܘܬܐ ܘܢܚܬܘܢ ܟܕ ܚܝܝ̈ܢ ܠܫܝܘܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܫܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܒܓܘܗܘܢ
bgwhwn 'yth dbyshth' mTl lshywl khyyn kd wnkhthwn mwth' elyhwn 'yth'
As for me, I will call on God. Yahweh will save me.

ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܩܪܐ ܘܐܠܗܐ ܢܦܪܩܢܝ
nprqny w'lh' 'qr' l'lh' dyn 'n'
Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.

ܒܪܡܫܐ ܘܒܨܦܪܐ ܘܒܛܗܪܐ ܐܪܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܘܐܫܡܥ ܩܠܝ
qly w'shme w'mr 'rn' wbThr' wbtspr' brmsh'
He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, although there are many who oppose me.

ܦܨܗ̇ ܠܢܦܫܝ ܡܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܟܡܝܢ ܠܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܚܪܝܢܐ ܗܘܘ ܥܡܝ
emy hww dbkhryn' mTl ly dkhkmyn 'ylyn mn lnpshy ptsh
God, who is enthroned forever, will hear and answer them. Selah. They never change and don’t fear God.

ܢܫܡܥ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܢܡܟܟ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܥܠܡ̈ܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܬܚܠܘܦܐ ܘܠܐ ܕܚܠܘ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ
'lh' mn dkhlw wl' thkhlwp' lhwn lyth elm' qdm mn d'ythwhy hw 'nwn wnmkk 'lh' nshme
He raises his hands against his friends. He has violated his covenant.

ܐܘܫܛܘ ܐܝܕܐ ܥܠ ܩܪܝܒܗ ܘܛܘܫܘ ܩܝܡܗ
qymh wTwshw qrybh el 'yd' 'wshTw
His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was war. His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.

ܐܬܕܠܚܘ ܡܢ ܪܘܓܙܐ ܕܐ̈ܦܘܗܝ ܘܡܢ ܚܡܬܐ ܕܠܒܗ ܪ̈ܟܝܟܢ ܡ̈ܠܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܡܫܚܐ ܘܗ̈ܢܝܢ ܠܘ̈ܠܝܬܐ
lwlyth' whnyn mshkh' mn mlwhy rkykn dlbh khmth' wmn d'pwhy rwgz' mn 'thdlkhw
Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

ܫܕܝ ܨܦܬܟ ܥܠ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܗܘ ܢܬܪܣܝܟ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܠ ܠܥܠܡ ܙܘܥܬܐ ܠܙܕܝܩ̈ܘܗܝ
lzdyqwhy zweth' lelm nthl wl' nthrsyk whw mry' el tspthk shdy
But you, God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.

ܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܚܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܓܘܒܐ ܕܐܒܕܢܐ ܠܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܐܫ̈ܕܝ ܕܡܐ ܘܢ̈ܟܠܝ ܢܟܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܠܡܘܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܘܐܢܐ ܐܣܒܪ ܒܟ
