לשבחא לדוד על ידיהון דבני קרח שכלא טבא:
Tba shkla qrkh dbny ydyhwn el ldwd lshbkha
We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us what work you did in their days, in the days of old.

יי באודננא שמענא אבהתנא אשתעיו לנא עובדא דעבדתא בימיהון ביומיא די מלקדמין:
mlqdmyn dy bywmya bymyhwn debdtha ewbda lna ashtheyw abhthna shmena bawdnna yy
You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.

אנת בידא דגבורתך עמיא כנענאי תרכתא ונצבתנון לבית ישראל בארעהון תברת עמיא ופסדתנון:
wpsdthnwn emya thbrth barehwn yshral lbyth wntsbthnwn thrktha knenay emya dgbwrthk byda anth
For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable to them.

ארום לא בגבורת סיפהון יריתו ארעא ותקוף אדרעיהון לא פרקת להון ארום ימינך ואדרע גבורתך ונהור זיו יקרך ארום כל זמן דעסיקו באוריתא אתרעיתא בהון:
bhwn athreytha bawrytha desyqw zmn kl arwm yqrk zyw wnhwr gbwrthk wadre ymynk arwm lhwn prqth la adreyhwn wthqwp area yrythw syphwn bgbwrth la arwm
God, you are my King. Command victories for Jacob!

אנת הוא מלכי אלהא בעדנא הדא פקד פורקנות דבית יעקב:
yeqb dbyth pwrqnwth pqd hda bedna alha mlky hwa anth
Through you, we will push down our adversaries. Through your name, we will tread down those who rise up against us.

במימרך מעיקנא ננגח בשמך נכבוש כל דקימין עלנא:
elna dqymyn kl nkbwsh bshmk nngkh meyqna bmymrk
For I will not trust in my bow, neither will my sword save me.

ארום לא בקשתי אנא רחיץ וסיפי לא תפרוק יתי:
ythy thprwq la wsypy rkhyts ana bqshthy la arwm
But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.

ארום פרקתנא ממעיקנא ומשנאנא איתיתא עלויהון בהתא:
bhtha elwyhwn aythytha wmshnana mmeyqna prqthna arwm
In God we have made our boast all day long. We will give thanks to your name forever. Selah.

במימרא דיי אנן משבחין כל יומא ושמך נודי לעלמי עלמין:
elmyn lelmy nwdy wshmk ywma kl mshbkhyn ann dyy bmymra
But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, and don’t go out with our armies.

לחוד אשליתא ואכספתנא ולא תשרי שכנתך בחלונא:
bkhlwna shknthk thshry wla wakspthna ashlytha lkhwd
You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take plunder for themselves.

אחזרתנא קדל קדם מעיקא ומשנאנא כבשו לנא:
lna kbshw wmshnana meyqa qdm qdl akhzrthna
You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.
12
מסרתנא היך ענא למיכלא וביני עממיא בדרתא יתנא:
ythna bdrtha emmya wbyny lmykla ena hyk msrthna
You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.
13
זבנתא עמך מגן דלא ממונא ולא אסגיתא קנינא בפרוגיהון:
bprwgyhwn qnyna asgytha wla mmwna dla mgn emk zbntha
You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
14
שויתנא קלנא לשיבבנא ממקנותא ותורפיתא לחזרנותנא:
lkhzrnwthna wthwrpytha mmqnwtha lshybbna qlna shwythna
You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
15
שויתנא למתלא בעממיא טלטול רישא באומיא:
bawmya rysha TlTwl bemmya lmthla shwythna
All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,
16
כל יומא כסופי לקבלי ובהתת אפי חפתני:
khpthny apy wbhthth lqbly kswpy ywma kl
at the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, because of the enemy and the avenger.
17
מן קלא דמחסד ומגדף מן קדם בעל דבבא ונקים נקמתא:
nqmtha wnqym dbba bel qdm mn wmgdp dmkhsd qla mn
All this has come on us, yet we haven’t forgotten you. We haven’t been false to your covenant.
18
כל דא ערעת יתנא ולא אשלנך ולא שקרנא בקימך:
bqymk shqrna wla ashlnk wla ythna ereth da kl
Our heart has not turned back, neither have our steps strayed from your path,
19
לא זר פליג וזחוחית לבנא ואת אסטיתא אסתורנא מן תריצת ארחתך:
arkhthk thrytsth mn asthwrna asTytha wath lbna wzkhwkhyth plyg zr la
though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.
20
ארום אמכתנא באתר ירודין וחפיתא עלנא בטולא דמותא:
dmwtha bTwla elna wkhpytha yrwdyn bathr amkthna arwm
If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread out our hands to a strange god,
21
אין אשלינא שום אלהנא ופרישנא בצלו ידנא לטעותא דפלחי כוכביא:
kwkbya dplkhy lTewtha ydna btslw wpryshna alhna shwm ashlyna ayn
won’t God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.
22
הלא אלהא יבשקר דא ארום הוא חכים טמירי לבא:
lba Tmyry khkym hwa arwm da ybshqr alha hla
Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.

ארום מטולתך אתקטלנא כל יומא אתחשבנא כענא דמסירא לנכסא:
lnksa dmsyra kena athkhshbna ywma kl athqTlna mTwlthk arwm
Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Don’t reject us forever.
24
אתגבר למה תהי כגבר דמיך יי אתער אלהנא לא תתנשי לעלמא:
lelma ththnshy la alhna ather yy dmyk kgbr thhy lmh athgbr
Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
25
למה שכינת יקרך תסלק תשלי סגופנא ודוחקנא:
wdwkhqna sgwpna thshly thslq yqrk shkynth lmh
For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body clings to the earth.
26
ארום שיחא לעפרא נפשנא דבקת לארעית גובא מעיננא:
meynna gwba lareyth dbqth npshna lepra shykha arwm
Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness’ sake.
