לשבחא בשכלא טבא על ידיהון דבני קרח:
qrkh dbny ydyhwn el Tba bshkla lshbkha
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God.

היך אילא די מרגג על פצידי מיא היכנא נפשי מרגגא לותך יי:
yy lwthk mrgga npshy hykna mya ptsydy el mrgg dy ayla hyk
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

צחת לך נפשי לאלהא תקיפא חיא וקימא אמתי אעול ואחמי זיו שכינתא דיי:
dyy shkyntha zyw wakhmy aewl amthy wqyma khya thqypa lalha npshy lk tskhth
My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually ask me, “Where is your God?”

הות לי דמעתי למברי יימם ולילי בדיימר לי סנאה כל יומא אן הוא אלהך:
alhk hwa an ywma kl snah ly bdyymr wlyly yymm lmbry dmethy ly hwth
These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, how I used to go with the crowd, and led them to God’s house, with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day.

אלין ניסיא אנא דכיר ואשוד על רעיוני נפשי כד אעבר טללא בלחודי אתחיל במשרין דצדיקי עד בית מוקדשא דיי בקל בעותא ותושבחתא אתרגושת עממין דאתין למחג לירושלם:
lyrwshlm lmkhg dathyn emmyn athrgwshth wthwshbkhtha bewtha bql dyy mwqdsha byth ed dtsdyqy bmshryn athkhyl blkhwdy Tlla aebr kd npshy reywny el washwd dkyr ana nysya alyn
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.

מה תתמככין נפשי ותרגשי עלי אוריכי לאלהא ארום תוב אשבחניה בפורקנא דמן קדמוי:
qdmwy dmn bpwrqna ashbkhnyh thwb arwm lalha awryky ely wthrgshy npshy ththmkkyn mh
My God, my soul is in despair within me. Therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon, from the hill Mizar.

אלהי עלי נפשי תתמכך בגין כן ידכרונך יתבי להלאה בארע ירדנא ויתבי טורי חרמוני ועמא דקבילו אורייתא בטורא דסיני דמכיך וזעיר:
wzeyr dmkyk dsyny bTwra awryytha dqbylw wema khrmwny Twry wythby yrdna bare lhlah ythby ydkrwnk kn bgyn ththmkk npshy ely alhy
Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls. All your waves and your billows have swept over me.

תהומא עלאה לתהומא ארעאה קרי לקל זלחי מרזביך היכנא כולהון מתבריך וגלליך עלי עברו:
ebrw ely wgllyk mthbryk kwlhwn hykna mrzbyk zlkhy lql qry areah lthhwma elah thhwma
Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me: a prayer to the God of my life.

יימם יפקוד יי טוביה ובליליא תושבחתיה עמי צלותא לאל די נטיר חיי:
khyy nTyr dy lal tslwtha emy thwshbkhthyh wblylya Twbyh yy ypqwd yymm
I will ask God, my rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”

אימר לאלהא רוחצני למא אשליתני למא בקבלא אזיל בדחוק בעיל דבבא:
dbba beyl bdkhwq azyl bqbla lma ashlythny lma rwkhtsny lalha aymr
As with a sword in my bones, my adversaries reproach me, while they continually ask me, “Where is your God?”

בדקטלין גרמי בזמן דמחרפין יתי מעיקי כד אמרין לי כל יומא אן הוא אלהך:
alhk hwa an ywma kl ly amryn kd meyqy ythy dmkhrpyn bzmn grmy bdqTlyn
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.
