ܐܡܪܬ ܕܐܛܪ ܐܘܪܚܝ ܘܠܐ ܐܚܛܐ ܒܠܫܢܝ ܐܛܪ ܦܘܡܝ ܡܢ ܥܘܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܕܠܘܩܒܠܝ
dlwqbly rshye' mTl ewl' mn pwmy 'Tr blshny 'khT' wl' 'wrkhy d'Tr 'mrth
I was mute with silence. I held my peace, even from good. My sorrow was stirred.

ܚܪܫܬ ܘܐܬܟܡܪܬ ܘܕܘܝܬ ܡܢ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܟܐܒܝ ܐܬܕܠܚ

My heart was hot within me. While I meditated, the fire burned. I spoke with my tongue:

ܚܡ ܠܒܝ ܒܓܘܝ ܘܒܓܘܫܡܝ ܐܚܕܬ ܢܘܪܐ ܪܢܝܬ ܒܠܫܢܝ

“Yahweh, show me my end, what is the measure of my days. Let me know how frail I am.

ܘܚܘܝܢܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܪܬܝ ܘܡܫܘܚܬܐ ܕܝܘܡ̈ܝ ܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܕܐܕܥ ܠܡܢܐ ܦܐܫ ܐܢܐ
'n' p'sh lmn' d'de hy mn' dywmy wmshwkhth' khrthy mry' wkhwyny
Behold, you have made my days hand widths. My lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely every man stands as a breath.” Selah.

ܕܗܐ ܒܡܫܘܚܬܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܘܦܘܫܝ ܐܝܟ ܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܗܘ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫ̈ܐ ܐܝܟ ܠܗܓܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܩܝܡܝܢ
qymyn 'nwn lhg' 'yk bnynsh' dklhwn mTl qdmyk hw mdm l' 'yk wpwshy ywmy yhbth bmshwkhth' dh'
“Surely every man walks like a shadow. Surely they busy themselves in vain. He heaps up, and doesn’t know who shall gather.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܨܠܡܐ ܡܗܠܟ ܓܒܪܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܠܗܓܐ ܚܡܐ ܣܐܡ ܣܝܡ̈ܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܠܡܢܘ ܚܡܠ ܠܗܝܢ

Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you.

ܡܟܝܠ ܡܢܘ ܣܒܪܝ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܢܬ ܡܪܝܐ
mry' 'nth 'n 'l' sbry mnw mkyl
Deliver me from all my transgressions. Don’t make me the reproach of the foolish.

ܘܡܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܣ̈ܟܠܘܬܝ ܦܨܢܝ ܘܚܣܕܐ ܠܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܠܐ ܬܥܒܕܢܝ

I was mute. I didn’t open my mouth, because you did it.

ܚܪܫܬ ܘܠܐ ܦܬܚܬ ܦܘܡܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܬ ܥܒܕܬ

Remove your scourge away from me. I am overcome by the blow of your hand.

ܐܥܒܪ ܡܢܝ ܢܓܕܟ ܘܡܢ ܡܚܘܬܐ ܕܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܓܡܪܬ
gmrth d'ydyk mkhwth' wmn ngdk mny 'ebr
When you rebuke and correct man for iniquity, you consume his wealth like a moth. Surely every man is but a breath.” Selah.

ܒܡܟܣܢܘܬܐ ܕܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܚ̈ܛܗܝ ܪܕܝܬ ܓܒܪܐ ܘܐܥܒܪܬ ܐܝܟ ܚܒܬܐ ܪ̈ܓܝܓܬܗ ܘܐܝܟ ܠܗܓܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫ̈ܐ
bnynsh' klhwn 'nwn lhg' w'yk rgygthh khbth' 'yk w'ebrth gbr' rdyth khThy 'py del bmksnwth'
“Hear my prayer, Yahweh, and give ear to my cry. Don’t be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were.

ܫܡܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܨܠܘܬܝ ܘܒܥܘܬܝ ܘܨܘܬ ܠܕܡܥܬܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܫܬܘܩ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܥܡܘܪܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܡܟ ܘܬܘܬܒܐ ܐܝܟ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܒ̈ܗܝ
'bhy klhwn 'yk wthwthb' emk 'n' demwr' mTwl thshthwq wl' ldmethy wtswth wbewthy tslwthy mry' shme
Oh spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go away and exist no more.”

ܦܪܘܩܝܢܝ ܘܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܥܕܠܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ ܘܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܐܝܬܝ
