תשבחתא לדוד דכרנא טבא על ישראל:
yshral el Tba dkrna ldwd thshbkhtha
Yahweh, don’t rebuke me in your wrath, neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.
2
יי לא ברוגזך תכסן יתי ולא ברתחך תרדי יתי:
ythy thrdy brthkhk wla ythy thksn brwgzk la yy
For your arrows have pierced me, your hand presses hard on me.
3
מטול דגירך אתחתן עלי ושרת עלי מחת ידך:
ydk mkhth ely wshrth ely athkhthn dgyrk mTwl
There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.

לית אסו בגושמי מן קדם רוגזך לית שלם באברי מן קדם חובי:
khwby qdm mn babry shlm lyth rwgzk qdm mn bgwshmy asw lyth
For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.

ארום חובי עברו רישי היך מטול יקיר יקרו מני:
mny yqrw yqyr mTwl hyk ryshy ebrw khwby arwm
My wounds are loathsome and corrupt because of my foolishness.

סריאו מאיסו הלבשושי מן קדם טפשותי:
Tpshwthy qdm mn hlbshwshy maysw sryaw
I am in pain and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all day long.

עקימית שחית עד לחדא כל יומא חכיר הלכית:
hlkyth khkyr ywma kl lkhda ed shkhyth eqymyth
For my waist is filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh.

ארום כסלי אתמלין קדיחתא ולית אסו בגושמי:
bgwshmy asw wlyth qdykhtha athmlyn ksly arwm
I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.
9
פגית ואתמכית עד לחדא רגישית מנהמותא דלבי:
dlby mnhmwtha rgyshyth lkhda ed wathmkyth pgyth
Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.
10
יי לקבלך כל רגיגתי ותנחתי מנך לא מטמרא:
mTmra la mnk wthnkhthy rgygthy kl lqblk yy
My heart throbs. My strength fails me. As for the light of my eyes, it has also left me.

לבבי צמרמר שבקני חילי ונהור עיני ברם הנון ליתיהון עמי:
emy lythyhwn hnwn brm eyny wnhwr khyly shbqny tsmrmr lbby
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague. My kinsmen stand far away.

רחימי וחברי מקבל מכתשי קמו וקריבי מרחיק קימין:
qymyn mrkhyq wqryby qmw mkthshy mqbl wkhbry rkhymy
They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long.

ועבדו פחין תבעי נפשי ובעי בישותי מלילו שקרא ונכלא כל יומא מרננין:
mrnnyn ywma kl wnkla shqra mlylw byshwthy wbey npshy thbey pkhyn webdw
But I, as a deaf man, don’t hear. I am as a mute man who doesn’t open his mouth.

ואנא היך חרשא לא אשמע והיך אלמנא דלא פתח פומיה:
pwmyh pthkh dla almna whyk ashme la khrsha hyk wana
Yes, I am as a man who doesn’t hear, in whose mouth are no reproofs.

והויתי כגבר דלא שמע מעלמא ולא אית בפומיה מכסניתא:
mksnytha bpwmyh ayth wla melma shme dla kgbr whwythy
For I hope in you, Yahweh. You will answer, Lord my God.

ארום קדמך יי צליתי אנת תקבל יי אלהי:
alhy yy thqbl anth tslythy yy qdmk arwm
For I said, “Don’t let them gloat over me, or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips.”
17
ארום אמרית דלמא יחדון עלי באזדעזעות רגלי עלי איתרברבו:
aythrbrbw ely rgly bazdezewth ely ykhdwn dlma amryth arwm
For I am ready to fall. My pain is continually before me.
18
ארום אנא לתבירא מעתד וכיבי לקבלי תדירא:
thdyra lqbly wkyby methd lthbyra ana arwm
For I will declare my iniquity. I will be sorry for my sin.

ארום חובי אתני אתיצף מן חטאי:
khTay mn athytsp athny khwby arwm
But my enemies are vigorous and many. Those who hate me without reason are numerous.
20
ובעלי דבבי חיי אלימו וסגיאין סנאי על שקרא:
shqra el snay wsgyayn alymw khyy dbby wbely
They who give evil for good are also adversaries to me, because I follow what is good.
21
ופרעין בישתא חלף טבתא מסטנן לי חלופי דרדפית טב:
Tb drdpyth khlwpy ly msTnn Tbtha khlp byshtha wpreyn
Don’t forsake me, Yahweh. My God, don’t be far from me.
22
לא תשבקינני יי אלהי לא תרחיק מיני:
myny thrkhyq la alhy yy thshbqynny la
Hurry to help me, Lord, my salvation.
