ܠܐ ܬܚܣܡ ܒܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܛܢ ܒܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܥܘܠܐ
l' thkhsm brshye' wl' thTn bebdy ewl'
Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܟ ܓ̈ܠܐ ܒܥܓܠ ܝܒܫܝܢ ܘܐܝܟ ܝܘܪܩܐ ܕܥܣܒܐ ܚܡܝܢ
mTl d'yk gl' begl ybshyn w'yk ywrq' desb' khmyn
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.

ܣܒܪ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܛܒܬܐ ܥܡܪ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܒܥܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
sbr b'lh' webd Tbth' emr b're' wbey hymnwth'
Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.

ܣܒܪ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܘܢܬܠ ܠܟ ܫܐ̈ܠܬܗ ܕܠܒܟ
sbr bmry' wnthl lk sh'lthh dlbk
Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

ܬܪܘܨ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܘܪܚܟ ܘܣܒܪ ܒܗ ܘܗܘ ܥܒܕ
thrwts qdm mry' 'wrkhk wsbr bh whw ebd
Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:

ܘܡܦܩ ܐܝܟ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܟ ܘܕܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܐܝܟ ܛܗܪܐ
wmpq 'yk nwhr' zdyqwthk wdynyk 'yk Thr'
he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.

ܒܥܝ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܨܠܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܣܡ ܒܓܒܪܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܡܨܠܚܐ ܐܘܪܚܗ
bey mn mry' wtsl' qdmwhy wl' thkhsm bgbr' debd ewl' wmtslkh' 'wrkhh
Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.

ܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܡܢ ܚܡܬܐ ܘܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܡܢ ܪܘܓܙܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܣܡ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ
'ththnykh mn khmth' w'ththnykh mn rwgz' wl' thkhsm lmebd byshth'
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝ̈ܫܐ ܣܝܦܝܢ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܣܒܪܝܢ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ
mTl dbysh' sypyn w'ylyn dmsbryn bmry' yrthyn 're'
For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land.

ܒܙܒܢܐ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܗ ܠܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܠܝܬܘܗܝ ܘܚܐܪ ܐܢܬ ܒܕܘܟܬܗ ܘܠܐ ܡܫܬܟܚ
bzbn' zewr' be' 'nth lh lrshye' wlythwhy wkh'r 'nth bdwkthh wl' mshthkkh
For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.

ܘܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܡܬܒܣܡܝܢ ܒܫܠܡܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ
wmskn' yrthyn 're' wmthbsmyn bshlm' sgy''
But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

ܡܬܚܡܬ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܥܠ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܡܚܪܩ ܫ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܥܠܘܗܝ
mthkhmth rshye' el zdyq' wmkhrq shnwhy elwhy
The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.

ܘܡܪܝܐ ܢܓܚܟ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥ ܕܡܛܐ ܝܘܡܗ
wmry' ngkhk elwhy mTl dyde dmT' ywmh
The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

ܣܝܦܐ ܫܡܛܘ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܘܡܬܚܘ ܩܫܬܐ ܕܢܩܛܠܘܢ ܠܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܘܠܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗܘܢ
syp' shmTw rshye' wmthkhw qshth' dnqTlwn lmskn' wlbysh' wl'ylyn dthrytsn 'wrkhthhwn
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.

ܣܝܦܗܘܢ ܢܥܘܠ ܒܠܒܗܘܢ ܘܩܫܬ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܢܬܬܒܪ̈ܢ
syphwn newl blbhwn wqshththhwn nththbrn
Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.

ܦܩܚ ܩܠܝܠ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܢ ܩܢܝܢܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ
pqkh qlyl lzdyq' mn qnyn' sgy'' drshye'
Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.

ܡܛܘܠ ܕܕܪ̈ܥܝܗܘܢ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܢܬܬܒܪܘܢ ܡܣܡܟ ܠܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܡܪܝܐ
mTwl ddreyhwn drshye' nththbrwn msmk lzdyq' mry'
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous.

ܘܝܕܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܕܬܡܝ̈ܡܐ ܘܝܪܬܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܬܗܘܐ
wyde mry' ywmthhwn dthmym' wyrthwthhwn lelm thhw'
Yahweh knows the days of the perfect. Their inheritance shall be forever.

ܘܠܐ ܢܒܗܬܘܢ ܒܫܥܬܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܒܝ̈ܘܡܬܐ ܕܟܦܢܐ ܢܣܒܥܘܢ
wl' nbhthwn bsheth' byshth' wbywmth' dkpn' nsbewn
They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

ܡܛܠ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܐܒܕܝܢ ܘܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡ̈ܦܛܡܐ ܓܡܪܝܢ ܘܐܝܟ ܬܢܢܐ ܣܝܦܝܢ
mTl drshye' 'bdyn wbeldbbwhy dmry' mpTm' gmryn w'yk thnn' sypyn
But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of Yahweh shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke.

ܝܙܦ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܦܪܥ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܪܚܡ ܘܝܗܒ
yzp rshye' wl' pre wzdyq' mrkhm wyhb
The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܪ̈ܝܟܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܠܝ̈ܛܘܗܝ ܢܣܘܦܘܢ
mTl dbrykwhy dmry' yrthyn 're' wlyTwhy nswpwn
For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.

ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܬܩ̈ܢܢ ܗ̈ܠܟܬܗ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܘܐܘܪܚܗ ܗܘ ܡܬܩܢ
mn qdm mry' mthqnn hlkthh dgbr' w'wrkhh hw mthqn
A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢ ܢܦܠ ܠܐ ܡܗܪ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܚܝܕ ܒܐܝܕܗ
mTl d'n npl l' mhr dmry' 'khyd b'ydh
Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.

ܛܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܣܒܬ ܘܠܐ ܚܙܝܬ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܕܐܫܬܒܩ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܙܪܥܗ ܕܒܥܐ ܠܚܡܐ
Tl' hwyth wsbth wl' khzyth zdyq' d'shthbq 'p l' zreh dbe' lkhm'
I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.

ܐܠܐ ܟܠܗ ܝܘܡܐ ܡܪܚܡ ܘܡܘܙܦ ܘܙܪܥܗ ܡܬܒܪܟ
'l' klh ywm' mrkhm wmwzp wzreh mthbrk
All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed.

ܥܒܪ ܡܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܛܒܬܐ ܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܠܥܠܡ
ebr mn byshth' webd Tbth' 'ththnykh lelm
Depart from evil, and do good. Live securely forever.
28
ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܝܢܐ ܪܚܡ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܠܙܕܝܩ̈ܘܗܝ ܐܠܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܡܢܛܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܙܪܥܗܘܢ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܡܘܒܕ
mTl dmry' dyn' rkhm wl' shbq lzdyqwhy 'l' lelm mnTr lhwn wzrehwn drshye' mwbd
For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.

ܘܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܫܪܝܢ ܥܠܝܗ̇ ܠܥܠܡ
wzdyq' yrthyn 're' wshryn elyh lelm
The righteous shall inherit the land, and live in it forever.
30
ܚܟܡܬܐ ܪܢܐ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܠܫܢܗ ܡܡܠܠ ܕܝܢܐ
khkmth' rn' pwmh dzdyq' wlshnh mmll dyn'
The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice.
31
ܢܡܘܣܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܠܒܗ ܘܠܐ ܙܝܥ̈ܢ ܕܘܪ̈ܟܬܗ
nmwsh d'lh' blbh wl' zyen dwrkthh
The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps shall slide.
32
ܡܣܟܐ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܒܥܐ ܠܡܩܛܠܗ
msk' rshye' lzdyq' wbe' lmqTlh
The wicked watch the righteous, and seek to kill him.
33
ܘܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܢܫܒܩܝܘܗܝ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܠܐ ܢܚܝܒܝܘܗܝ ܒܕܝܢܐ
wmry' l' nshbqywhy b'ydwhy 'l' nkhybywhy bdyn'
Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

ܣܒܪ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܘܛܪ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܘܢܪܝܡܟ ܠܡܐܪܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܡܐ ܕܣܝܦܝܢ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܬܚܙܐ
sbr bmry' wTr 'wrkhh wnrymk lm'rth 're' m' dsypyn rshye' thkhz'
Wait for Yahweh, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

ܡܛܠ ܕܚܙܝܬ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܕܡܫܬܒܗܪܝܢ ܘܡܬܬܪܝܡܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܐ̈ܝܠܢܐ ܕܥܒܐ
mTl dkhzyth rshye' dmshthbhryn wmththrymyn 'yk 'yln' deb'
I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.
36
ܟܕ ܥܒܪܬ ܠܝܬܘܗܝ ܘܒܥܝܬܗ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܬܗ
kd ebrth lythwhy wbeythh wl' 'shkkhthh
But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

ܛܪ ܬܡܝܡܘܬܐ ܘܓܒܝ ܬܪܝܨܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܚܪܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܠܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܫܠܡܐ
Tr thmymwth' wgby thrytswth' mTl d'yth khrth' Tbth' lgbr' dshlm'
Mark the perfect man, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

ܘܚ̈ܛܝܐ ܢܣܘܦܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܕܐ ܘܚܪܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܠܐܒܕܢܐ
wkhTy' nswpwn 'yk khd' wkhrth' drshye' l'bdn'
As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together. The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39
ܦܪܘܩܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܥܕܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܕܥܩܬܐ
prwq' dzdyq' mry' medr lhwn bzbn' deqth'
But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
40
ܡܥܕܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܦܨܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܡܦܨܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܘܦܪܩ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܣܒܪܘ ܒܗ
medr lhwn mry' wmpts' lhwn wmpts' lhwn mn rshye' wprq lhwn mTl dsbrw bh
Yahweh helps them and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked and saves them, because they have taken refuge in him.
