1
לדוד לא תגרג במבאשין למהוי דכותהון ולא תטנין בעבדי טלומא למזדוג עמהון:
emhwn lmzdwg Tlwma bebdy thTnyn wla dkwthhwn lmhwy bmbashyn thgrg la ldwd
Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.

מטול דסופיהון היך עסבא בסרהוביא יתמוללו והיך ירוק דתאה ינתרון:
ynthrwn dthah yrwq whyk ythmwllw bsrhwbya esba hyk dswpyhwn mTwl
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.
3
רחיץ במימרא דיי ועבד טב שרי ארעא וחסן בהימנותא:
bhymnwtha wkhsn area shry Tb webd dyy bmymra rkhyts
Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.

ותתפנק על יי ויתן לך משילי לבך:
lbk mshyly lk wythn yy el wththpnq
Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

גלי על יי ארחתך וסבור על מימריה והוא יעבד:
yebd whwa mymryh el wsbwr arkhthk yy el gly
Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:
6
ויפוק היך נהורא צדקך ודינך היך טיהרא:
Tyhra hyk wdynk tsdqk nhwra hyk wypwq
he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.

שתוק קדם יי ואוריך ליה לא תגרג ברשיעא דמצלח אורחיה בגברא דעביד עיצת חטאין:
khTayn eytsth debyd bgbra awrkhyh dmtslkh brshyea thgrg la lyh wawryk yy qdm shthwq
Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.

אוריך מרגז ושבוק רתחא לא תגרג ברם לאבאשא:
labasha brm thgrg la rthkha wshbwq mrgz awryk
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing.

מטול דמבאשין ישתיצון ודסברין במימרא דיי הנון יירתון ארעא:
area yyrthwn hnwn dyy bmymra wdsbryn yshthytswn dmbashyn mTwl
For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land.
10
ותוב בזעיר ולית רשיעא ותתבין על אתריה וליתוי:
wlythwy athryh el wththbyn rshyea wlyth bzeyr wthwb
For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.
11
וענותנין ירתון ארעא ויתפנקון על סגיעות שלמא:
shlma sgyewth el wythpnqwn area yrthwn wenwthnyn
But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12
חשב רשיעא ביש על צדיקא ומעסי עלוי ככוי:
kkwy elwy wmesy tsdyqa el bysh rshyea khshb
The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
13
יי יגחך עלוי ארום חמא ארום על יומא דתביריה:
dthbyryh ywma el arwm khma arwm elwy ygkhk yy
The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.
14
חרבא שליפו רשיעיא ומתחו קשותהון למקטול עניי וחשיכי למכוס תריצי אורחא:
awrkha thrytsy lmkws wkhshyky enyy lmqTwl qshwthhwn wmthkhw rshyeya shlypw khrba
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.

סיפהון תעול בלבהון וקשותהון יתברון:
ythbrwn wqshwthhwn blbhwn thewl syphwn
Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.
16
טב קדם יי זערות צדיקיא מרכפת רשיעין סגיעין:
sgyeyn rshyeyn mrkpth tsdyqya zerwth yy qdm Tb
Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.
17
ארום דרועי דרשיעיא יתברון ותמיך צדיקיא מימרא דיי:
dyy mymra tsdyqya wthmyk ythbrwn drshyeya drwey arwm
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous.
18
ידיעין קדם יי יומיהון דשלמין ואחסנתהון לעלם תהי:
thhy lelm wakhsnthhwn dshlmyn ywmyhwn yy qdm ydyeyn
Yahweh knows the days of the perfect. Their inheritance shall be forever.
19
לא יבהתון בעדן בישתא וביומי אולצנא סבעין:
sbeyn awltsna wbywmy byshtha bedn ybhthwn la
They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20
ארום רשיעיא ייבדון ובעלי דבביא דיי היך יקר פלגיסין דמין אולא מתפטמין וסופיהון מתנכסין היכנא רשיעי יסופון ובתנן גהנם יגמרון:
ygmrwn ghnm wbthnn yswpwn rshyey hykna mthnksyn wswpyhwn mthpTmyn awla dmyn plgysyn yqr hyk dyy dbbya wbely yybdwn rshyeya arwm
But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of Yahweh shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke.

מוזיף רשיעא ולא פרע וצדיק מחיס ויהב:
wyhb mkhys wtsdyq pre wla rshyea mwzyp
The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
22
מטול דמתברכין במימרא ירתון ארעא ודמתלטטין במותא ישתצון:
yshthtswn bmwtha wdmthlTTyn area yrthwn bmymra dmthbrkyn mTwl
For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.
23
מן קדם יי פסיעתו דגברא מתקנן ואורחתיה יתרעי:
ythrey wawrkhthyh mthqnn dgbra psyethw yy qdm mn
A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.
24
ארום יפול מרע לא ימות מטול דיי סעיד בידיה:
bydyh seyd dyy mTwl ymwth la mre ypwl arwm
Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.
25
טלי הוית ברם סיבית ולא חמית צדיקא שביקא ובנוי תבעין לחמא מחוסרנא:
mkhwsrna lkhma thbeyn wbnwy shbyqa tsdyqa khmyth wla sybyth brm hwyth Tly
I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.

מן בגלל דכל יומא חיס ומוזיף ודרעיה לברכתא:
lbrktha wdreyh wmwzyp khys ywma dkl bgll mn
All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed.
27
סטי מביש ועבד טיבו ושרי לחיי עלמא:
elma lkhyy wshry Tybw webd mbysh sTy
Depart from evil, and do good. Live securely forever.
28
ארום יי רחם דינא ולא ישבוק ית חסידוי לעלם מנטרין ובניהון דרשיעיא ישתצון:
yshthtswn drshyeya wbnyhwn mnTryn lelm khsydwy yth yshbwq wla dyna rkhm yy arwm
For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29
צדיקיא יחסנון ארעא וישרון לעלמין עלה:
elh lelmyn wyshrwn area ykhsnwn tsdyqya
The righteous shall inherit the land, and live in it forever.
30
פומא דצדיקיא רנן חוכמתא ולישניה ממללא דינא:
dyna mmlla wlyshnyh khwkmtha rnn dtsdyqya pwma
The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice.
31
נימוסא דאלהיה בלביה לא מזדעזעין אסתורוי:
asthwrwy mzdezeyn la blbyh dalhyh nymwsa
The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps shall slide.
32
מסתכי רשיעא לצדיקא ובעי למקטליה:
lmqTlyh wbey ltsdyqa rshyea msthky
The wicked watch the righteous, and seek to kill him.
33
יי לא ישבקניה בידיה ולא יחיבניה במדיניה:
bmdynyh ykhybnyh wla bydyh yshbqnyh la yy
Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

סבר במימריה דיי וטר ארחיה וירוממנך למחסן ארעא באשתציות רשיעיא תחמי:
thkhmy rshyeya bashthtsywth area lmkhsn wyrwmmnk arkhyh wTr dyy bmymryh sbr
Wait for Yahweh, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35
חמיתי רשיעא תקיפא וחסין היך אילן יציב ועבוף:
webwp ytsyb ayln hyk wkhsyn thqypa rshyea khmythy
I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.
36
ופסק מן עלמא והא ליתוי ובעית יתיה ולא אשתכח:
ashthkkh wla ythyh wbeyth lythwy wha elma mn wpsq
But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37
נטר שלימותא וחמי תריצותא ארום דסוף בר נשא שלמא:
shlma nsha br dswp arwm thrytswtha wkhmy shlymwtha nTr
Mark the perfect man, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.
38
ומרודין ישתיצון כחדא סופיהון דרשיעיא שיציא:
shytsya drshyeya swpyhwn kkhda yshthytswn wmrwdyn
As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together. The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39
ופורקנא דצדיקיא מן קדם יי עושנהון בעדן עקתא:
eqtha bedn ewshnhwn yy qdm mn dtsdyqya wpwrqna
But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
