ܠܐ ܬܚܣܡ ܒܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܛܢ ܒܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܥܘܠܐ
ewl' bebdy thTn wl' brshye' thkhsm l'
Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܟ ܓ̈ܠܐ ܒܥܓܠ ܝܒܫܝܢ ܘܐܝܟ ܝܘܪܩܐ ܕܥܣܒܐ ܚܡܝܢ
khmyn desb' ywrq' w'yk ybshyn begl gl' d'yk mTl
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.

ܣܒܪ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܛܒܬܐ ܥܡܪ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܒܥܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
hymnwth' wbey b're' emr Tbth' webd b'lh' sbr
Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.

ܣܒܪ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܘܢܬܠ ܠܟ ܫܐ̈ܠܬܗ ܕܠܒܟ
dlbk sh'lthh lk wnthl bmry' sbr
Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

ܬܪܘܨ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܘܪܚܟ ܘܣܒܪ ܒܗ ܘܗܘ ܥܒܕ
ebd whw bh wsbr 'wrkhk mry' qdm thrwts
Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:

ܘܡܦܩ ܐܝܟ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܟ ܘܕܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܐܝܟ ܛܗܪܐ
Thr' 'yk wdynyk zdyqwthk nwhr' 'yk wmpq
he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.

ܒܥܝ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܨܠܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܣܡ ܒܓܒܪܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܡܨܠܚܐ ܐܘܪܚܗ
'wrkhh wmtslkh' ewl' debd bgbr' thkhsm wl' qdmwhy wtsl' mry' mn bey
Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.

ܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܡܢ ܚܡܬܐ ܘܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܡܢ ܪܘܓܙܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܣܡ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ
byshth' lmebd thkhsm wl' rwgz' mn w'ththnykh khmth' mn 'ththnykh
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝ̈ܫܐ ܣܝܦܝܢ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܣܒܪܝܢ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ
're' yrthyn bmry' dmsbryn w'ylyn sypyn dbysh' mTl
For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land.

ܒܙܒܢܐ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܗ ܠܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܠܝܬܘܗܝ ܘܚܐܪ ܐܢܬ ܒܕܘܟܬܗ ܘܠܐ ܡܫܬܟܚ
mshthkkh wl' bdwkthh 'nth wkh'r wlythwhy lrshye' lh 'nth be' zewr' bzbn'
For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.

ܘܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܡܬܒܣܡܝܢ ܒܫܠܡܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ
sgy'' bshlm' wmthbsmyn 're' yrthyn wmskn'
But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

ܡܬܚܡܬ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܥܠ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܡܚܪܩ ܫ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܥܠܘܗܝ
elwhy shnwhy wmkhrq zdyq' el rshye' mthkhmth
The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.

ܘܡܪܝܐ ܢܓܚܟ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥ ܕܡܛܐ ܝܘܡܗ
ywmh dmT' dyde mTl elwhy ngkhk wmry'
The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

ܣܝܦܐ ܫܡܛܘ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܘܡܬܚܘ ܩܫܬܐ ܕܢܩܛܠܘܢ ܠܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܘܠܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗܘܢ
'wrkhthhwn dthrytsn wl'ylyn wlbysh' lmskn' dnqTlwn qshth' wmthkhw rshye' shmTw syp'
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.

ܣܝܦܗܘܢ ܢܥܘܠ ܒܠܒܗܘܢ ܘܩܫܬ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܢܬܬܒܪ̈ܢ
nththbrn wqshththhwn blbhwn newl syphwn
Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.

ܦܩܚ ܩܠܝܠ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܢ ܩܢܝܢܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ
drshye' sgy'' qnyn' mn lzdyq' qlyl pqkh
Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.

ܡܛܘܠ ܕܕܪ̈ܥܝܗܘܢ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܢܬܬܒܪܘܢ ܡܣܡܟ ܠܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܡܪܝܐ
mry' lzdyq' msmk nththbrwn drshye' ddreyhwn mTwl
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous.

ܘܝܕܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܕܬܡܝ̈ܡܐ ܘܝܪܬܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܬܗܘܐ
thhw' lelm wyrthwthhwn dthmym' ywmthhwn mry' wyde
Yahweh knows the days of the perfect. Their inheritance shall be forever.

ܘܠܐ ܢܒܗܬܘܢ ܒܫܥܬܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܒܝ̈ܘܡܬܐ ܕܟܦܢܐ ܢܣܒܥܘܢ
nsbewn dkpn' wbywmth' byshth' bsheth' nbhthwn wl'
They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

ܡܛܠ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܐܒܕܝܢ ܘܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡ̈ܦܛܡܐ ܓܡܪܝܢ ܘܐܝܟ ܬܢܢܐ ܣܝܦܝܢ
sypyn thnn' w'yk gmryn mpTm' dmry' wbeldbbwhy 'bdyn drshye' mTl
But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of Yahweh shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke.

ܝܙܦ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܦܪܥ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܪܚܡ ܘܝܗܒ
wyhb mrkhm wzdyq' pre wl' rshye' yzp
The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܪ̈ܝܟܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܠܝ̈ܛܘܗܝ ܢܣܘܦܘܢ
nswpwn wlyTwhy 're' yrthyn dmry' dbrykwhy mTl
For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.

ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܬܩ̈ܢܢ ܗ̈ܠܟܬܗ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܘܐܘܪܚܗ ܗܘ ܡܬܩܢ
mthqn hw w'wrkhh dgbr' hlkthh mthqnn mry' qdm mn
A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢ ܢܦܠ ܠܐ ܡܗܪ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܚܝܕ ܒܐܝܕܗ
b'ydh 'khyd dmry' mhr l' npl d'n mTl
Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.

ܛܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܣܒܬ ܘܠܐ ܚܙܝܬ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܕܐܫܬܒܩ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܙܪܥܗ ܕܒܥܐ ܠܚܡܐ
lkhm' dbe' zreh l' 'p d'shthbq zdyq' khzyth wl' wsbth hwyth Tl'
I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.

ܐܠܐ ܟܠܗ ܝܘܡܐ ܡܪܚܡ ܘܡܘܙܦ ܘܙܪܥܗ ܡܬܒܪܟ
mthbrk wzreh wmwzp mrkhm ywm' klh 'l'
All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed.

ܥܒܪ ܡܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܛܒܬܐ ܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܠܥܠܡ
lelm 'ththnykh Tbth' webd byshth' mn ebr
Depart from evil, and do good. Live securely forever.
28
ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܝܢܐ ܪܚܡ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܠܙܕܝܩ̈ܘܗܝ ܐܠܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܡܢܛܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܙܪܥܗܘܢ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܡܘܒܕ
mwbd drshye' wzrehwn lhwn mnTr lelm 'l' lzdyqwhy shbq wl' rkhm dyn' dmry' mTl
For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.

ܘܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܫܪܝܢ ܥܠܝܗ̇ ܠܥܠܡ
lelm elyh wshryn 're' yrthyn wzdyq'
The righteous shall inherit the land, and live in it forever.
30
ܚܟܡܬܐ ܪܢܐ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܠܫܢܗ ܡܡܠܠ ܕܝܢܐ
dyn' mmll wlshnh dzdyq' pwmh rn' khkmth'
The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice.

ܢܡܘܣܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܠܒܗ ܘܠܐ ܙܝܥ̈ܢ ܕܘܪ̈ܟܬܗ
dwrkthh zyen wl' blbh d'lh' nmwsh
The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps shall slide.

ܡܣܟܐ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܒܥܐ ܠܡܩܛܠܗ
lmqTlh wbe' lzdyq' rshye' msk'
The wicked watch the righteous, and seek to kill him.
33
ܘܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܢܫܒܩܝܘܗܝ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܠܐ ܢܚܝܒܝܘܗܝ ܒܕܝܢܐ
bdyn' nkhybywhy 'l' b'ydwhy nshbqywhy l' wmry'
Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34
ܣܒܪ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܘܛܪ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܘܢܪܝܡܟ ܠܡܐܪܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܡܐ ܕܣܝܦܝܢ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܬܚܙܐ
thkhz' rshye' dsypyn m' 're' lm'rth wnrymk 'wrkhh wTr bmry' sbr
Wait for Yahweh, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

ܡܛܠ ܕܚܙܝܬ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܕܡܫܬܒܗܪܝܢ ܘܡܬܬܪܝܡܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܐ̈ܝܠܢܐ ܕܥܒܐ
deb' 'yln' 'yk wmththrymyn dmshthbhryn rshye' dkhzyth mTl
I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.
36
ܟܕ ܥܒܪܬ ܠܝܬܘܗܝ ܘܒܥܝܬܗ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܬܗ
'shkkhthh wl' wbeythh lythwhy ebrth kd
But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

ܛܪ ܬܡܝܡܘܬܐ ܘܓܒܝ ܬܪܝܨܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܚܪܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܠܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܫܠܡܐ
dshlm' lgbr' Tbth' khrth' d'yth mTl thrytswth' wgby thmymwth' Tr
Mark the perfect man, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

ܘܚ̈ܛܝܐ ܢܣܘܦܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܕܐ ܘܚܪܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܠܐܒܕܢܐ
l'bdn' drshye' wkhrth' khd' 'yk nswpwn wkhTy'
As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together. The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39
ܦܪܘܩܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܥܕܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܕܥܩܬܐ
deqth' bzbn' lhwn medr mry' dzdyq' prwq'
But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
40
ܡܥܕܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܦܨܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܡܦܨܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܘܦܪܩ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܣܒܪܘ ܒܗ
bh dsbrw mTl lhwn wprq rshye' mn lhwn wmpts' lhwn wmpts' mry' lhwn medr
Yahweh helps them and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked and saves them, because they have taken refuge in him.
