לשבחא על תקוף קורבן תדירא דקרצתא תושבחתא לדוד:
ldwd thwshbkhtha dqrtstha thdyra qwrbn thqwp el lshbkha
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

אלי אלי מטול מה שבקתני רחיק מן פורקני מלי אכליותי:
aklywthy mly pwrqny mn rkhyq shbqthny mh mTwl aly aly
My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.

אלהי אנא קרי ביממא ולא תקבל ובליליא לא שתיקותא לי:
ly shthyqwtha la wblylya thqbl wla bymma qry ana alhy
But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.

ואנת קדיש דמיתב עלמא על תושבחן ישראל:
yshral thwshbkhn el elma dmythb qdysh wanth
Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.
5
עלך סברו אבהתנא סברו במימרך ושזבתנון:
wshzbthnwn bmymrk sbrw abhthna sbrw elk
They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.
6
קדמך צלו ואשתזיבו ועלך אתרחיצו ולא בהיתו:
bhythw wla athrkhytsw welk washthzybw tslw qdmk
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.

ואנא זחיל חלש ולא גבר סכל חסודי בני נשא ומתרמרמותא דעממי:
demmy wmthrmrmwtha nsha bny khswdy skl gbr wla khlsh zkhyl wana
All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,

כל דחמין לי ידהכון עלי מתגרדין בספותהון יטלטלון ברישיהון:
bryshyhwn yTlTlwn bspwthhwn mthgrdyn ely ydhkwn ly dkhmyn kl
“He trusts in Yahweh. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”

שבח קדם יי ושזביה פצא יתיה מטול דאתרעי ביה:
byh dathrey mTwl ythyh ptsa wshzbyh yy qdm shbkh
But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother’s breasts.
10
מטול דאת אפקתני מכריסא אסברתני על תדיי אמי:
amy thdyy el asbrthny mkrysa apqthny dath mTwl
I was thrown on you from my mother’s womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.
11
בסעדך אטלקית ממעינא מכריסת אמי אלי את:
ath aly amy mkrysth mmeyna aTlqyth bsedk
Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help.

לא תתרחיק מני מטול דעקתא קריבא ארום לית פריק:
pryq lyth arwm qryba deqtha mTwl mny ththrkhyq la
Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

אחזרו עלי פלחי כוכביא דמתילין לתורין סגיאין רברבני מתנן אקפוני:
aqpwny mthnn rbrbny sgyayn lthwryn dmthylyn kwkbya plkhy ely akhzrw
They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.

פתחו עלי פומהון היך כאריא מכלי ותבר:
wthbr mkly karya hyk pwmhwn ely pthkhw
I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted within me.
15
היך כמיא אשתדת ואתפרפרן כולהון גרמי הוה לבי מתמסי היך שעוה בגו מעי:
mey bgw shewh hyk mthmsy lby hwh grmy kwlhwn wathprprn ashthdth kmya hyk
My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.

יבש היך פחר חילי ולישני אדביק למוריגי ולבית קבורתא אמטיתני:
amTythny qbwrtha wlbyth lmwrygy adbyq wlyshny khyly pkhr hyk ybsh
For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.

מטול דאחזרו עלי רשיעי דמתילין לכלביא סגיעין כנישת מבאישין אקפוני נכתין היך כאריא אידי ורגלי:
wrgly aydy karya hyk nkthyn aqpwny mbayshyn knyshth sgyeyn lklbya dmthylyn rshyey ely dakhzrw mTwl
I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.

אחוי כל הלבשושי גרמי אנון מסתכלין מבזן לי:
ly mbzn msthklyn anwn grmy hlbshwshy kl akhwy
They divide my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.
19
מפלגין לבושי ועלוי פתני ירמון עדבין:
edbyn yrmwn pthny welwy lbwshy mplgyn
But don’t be far off, Yahweh. You are my help. Hurry to help me!
20
ואנת יי לא תתרחיק תוקפי לסיועי אוחי:
awkhy lsywey thwqpy ththrkhyq la yy wanth
Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.
21
פצי מקטלין בחרבא נפשי מן אידא דכלבא רוחא דגושמי:
dgwshmy rwkha dklba ayda mn npshy bkhrba mqTlyn ptsy
Save me from the lion’s mouth! Yes, you have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen.

פרוקני מפום אריא ומגבריא דתקיפין ורמין כרימנא קבלתא צלותי:
tslwthy qbltha krymna wrmyn dthqypyn wmgbrya arya mpwm prwqny
I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you.

אחוי גבורת שמך לאחי במצע כנשתא אשבחנך:
ashbkhnk knshtha bmtse lakhy shmk gbwrth akhwy
You who fear Yahweh, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!
24
דחליא דיי שבחו קדמוי כל זרעא דיעקב הבו ליה יקר ואזדעזעו מניה כל זרעא דישראל:
dyshral zrea kl mnyh wazdezew yqr lyh hbw dyeqb zrea kl qdmwy shbkhw dyy dkhlya
For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.
25
מטול דלא בסר ולא שאט צלותהון דעניי ולא סליק שכינתיה מביניהון ובצלאיהון קדמוהי מקבל:
mqbl qdmwhy wbtslayhwn mbynyhwn shkynthyh slyq wla denyy tslwthhwn shaT wla bsr dla mTwl
My praise of you comes in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.

מנך תושבחתי בכנישת סגיעת עמא נדרי אשלם קביל דחלוי:
dkhlwy qbyl ashlm ndry ema sgyeth bknyshth thwshbkhthy mnk
The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise Yahweh who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.

ייכלון ענותני וישבעון ישבחו קדם יי דתבעין ליה ישרי רוח נבואה ברעיוני לבכון לעלמין:
lelmyn lbkwn breywny nbwah rwkh yshry lyh dthbeyn yy qdm yshbkhw wyshbewn enwthny yyklwn
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.

ידכרון נסוי ויתובון קדם יי כל סיפי ארעא ויסגדו קדמך כל גניסת עממיא:
emmya gnysth kl qdmk wysgdw area sypy kl yy qdm wythwbwn nswy ydkrwn
For the kingdom is Yahweh’s. He is the ruler over the nations.

מטול דמן קדם יי מלכותא ושליט בעממיא:
bemmya wshlyT mlkwtha yy qdm dmn mTwl
All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who can’t keep his soul alive.
30
סעודו וסגידו כל דהיני ארעא קדמוי יגחנון כל נחתין בי קבורתא ונפש רשיעא לא יחיי:
ykhyy la rshyea wnpsh qbwrtha by nkhthyn kl ygkhnwn qdmwy area dhyny kl wsgydw sewdw
Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord.

זרעיה דאברהם יפלחון קדמוי ויחוון כח גבורתא דיי לדרא בתראה:
bthrah ldra dyy gbwrtha kkh wykhwwn qdmwy yplkhwn dabrhm zreyh
They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.
