1
לשבחא תושבחתא לדוד:
ldwd thwshbkhtha lshbkha
The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
2
דמסתכלין בשמיא משתעין יקרא דיי ועובדי ידוי מחוין דמדיקין באוירא:
bawyra dmdyqyn mkhwyn ydwy wewbdy dyy yqra mshtheyn bshmya dmsthklyn
Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night they display knowledge.

יומא ליומא מוסיף ומביע מימרא וליליא לליליא פתית ומחוי מנדעא:
mndea wmkhwy pthyth llylya wlylya mymra wmbye mwsyp lywma ywma
There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.

לית מימר דתורעמתא ולית מלי דשגושא דלא משתמע קלהון:
qlhwn mshthme dla dshgwsha mly wlyth dthwremtha mymr lyth
Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

בכולא ארעא נפק מתח ענינהון ובסיפי תבל מליהון לשמשא שוי משרוי זיהרא בהון:
bhwn zyhra mshrwy shwy lshmsha mlyhwn thbl wbsypy enynhwn mthkh npq area bkwla
which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.

והוא בצפרא במפקיה יפוק היך חתנא דנפק מגנוניה ובטיהרא יחדי היך גברא למרהט בארחא:
barkha lmrhT gbra hyk ykhdy wbTyhra mgnwnyh dnpq khthna hyk ypwq bmpqyh btspra whwa
His going out is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends. There is nothing hidden from its heat.

מסיפי שמיא מפקניה ותוקפיה על סטריהון ולית דמטמר מן רתחיה:
rthkhyh mn dmTmr wlyth sTryhwn el wthwqpyh mpqnyh shmya msypy
Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.

אורייתא דיי שלמתא מתיבא נפש סהדותא דיי מהימנא מחכמא שברא:
shbra mkhkma mhymna dyy shdwtha npsh mthyba shlmtha dyy awryytha
Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.

פקודיא דיי תריצין מחדין לבא פקודא דיי ברירא מגהרא עינין:
eynyn mghra bryra dyy pqwda lba mkhdyn thrytsyn dyy pqwdya
The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.

דחלתא דיי דכיא קימא לעלמין דיניא דיי הימנותא זכיאו כחדא:
kkhda zkyaw hymnwtha dyy dynya lelmyn qyma dkya dyy dkhltha
They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.

דרגיגין מדהבא ומן אובריזין סגי ובסימין יתיר מן דבשא וכבריתא חליאתא:
khlyatha wkbrytha dbsha mn ythyr wbsymyn sgy awbryzyn wmn mdhba drgygyn
Moreover your servant is warned by them. In keeping them there is great reward.

ברם עבדך אזדהר בהון בדנטירין חלופי היכנא אתעביד טבהון דישראל:
dyshral Tbhwn athebyd hykna khlwpy bdnTyryn bhwn azdhr ebdk brm
Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.

שלויתא מן יחכם ומטמירתא זכי יתי:
ythy zky wmTmyrtha ykhkm mn shlwytha
Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.

ברם מן זידניא פצא עבדך דלא ישלטון בי הדין אהי בלא מום ואהי זכי מחובא רבא:
rba mkhwba zky wahy mwm bla ahy hdyn by yshlTwn dla ebdk ptsa zydnya mn brm
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.
