ܐܪܚܡܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܝ
khyly mry' 'rkhmk
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

ܘܬܘܟܠܢܝ ܘܒܝܬ ܓܘܣܝ ܡܦܨܝܢܝ ܐܠܗܐ ܬܩܝܦܐ ܕܬܟܝܠ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܡܣܝܥܢܝ ܘܩܪܢܐ ܕܦܘܪܩܢܝ ܘܒܝܬ ܓܘܣܝ
gwsy wbyth dpwrqny wqrn' msyeny elwhy 'n' dthkyl thqyp' 'lh' mptsyny gwsy wbyth wthwklny
I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.

ܡܫܒܚܐ ܐܩܪܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܐܬܦܪܩ
'thprq beldbby wmn lmry' 'qr' mshbkh'
The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

ܡܛܠ ܕܚܕܪܘܢܝ ܚܒ̈ܠܐ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܘܕܓܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܕܠܚ̈ܢܝ
dlkhny dewl' wdglwth' dmwth' khbl' dkhdrwny mTl
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me.

ܘܚ̈ܒܠܐ ܕܫܝܘܠ ܟܪܟܘܢܝ ܘܩܕܡܘܢܝ ܦܚ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܘܬܐ
dmwth' pkhwhy wqdmwny krkwny dshywl wkhbl'
In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

ܒܐܘܠܨܢܝ ܩܪܝܬ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐܠܗܝ ܩܪܝܬ ܘܫܡܥ ܡܢ ܗܝܟܠܗ ܒܩܠܝ ܘܓܥܬܝ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܥܠܬ ܒܐ̈ܕܢܘܗܝ
b'dnwhy welth qdmwhy wgethy bqly hyklh mn wshme qryth wl'lhy lmry' qryth b'wltsny
Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.

ܐܬܕܠܚܬ ܘܙܥܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܫܬܐ̈ܣܐ ܕܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܙ̈ܥܝ ܘܐܬܬܠܚܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܬܚܡܬ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn d'thkhmth mTl w'ththlkhy zey dTwr' wshth's' 're' wzeth 'thdlkhth
Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

ܣܠܩ ܬܢܢܐ ܒܪܘܓܙܗ ܘܢܘܪܐ ܡܢ ܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܐܬܓܘܙܠܬ ܘܓܘܡܪ̈ܐ ܚ̈ܒܢ ܡܢܗ
mnh khbn wgwmr' 'thgwzlth prtswph mn wnwr' brwgzh thnn' slq
He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.

ܐܪܟܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܢܚܬ ܘܥܪ̈ܦܠܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ
rglwhy thkhyth werpl' wnkhth shmy' 'rkn
He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.

ܪܟܒ ܥܠ ܟܪ̈ܘܒܐ ܘܦܪܚ ܘܛܣ ܥܠ ܟܢ̈ܦܝܗ̇ ܕܪܘܚܐ
drwkh' knpyh el wTs wprkh krwb' el rkb
He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

ܣܡ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܠܓܢܝܗ ܘܟܪܟܗ ܡܛܠܠܗ ܘܚܫܘܟܐ ܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܒܥܢ̈ܢܐ ܕܐܐܪ
d''r benn' dmy' wkhshwk' mTllh wkrkh lgnyh khshwk' sm
At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.

ܡܢ ܙܗܪܐ ܕܡܛܠܠܗ ܥܢ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܥܒܕ ܒܪܕܐ ܘܓܘܡܪ̈ܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ
dnwr' wgwmr' brd' ebd ennwhy dmTllh zhr' mn
Yahweh also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.

ܘܪܥܡ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܥܠܝܐ ܝܗܒ ܩܠܗ ܒܪܕܐ ܘܓܘܡܪ̈ܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ
dnwr' wgwmr' brd' qlh yhb wely' mry' bshmy' wrem
He sent out his arrows, and scattered them. He routed them with great lightning bolts.

ܫܕܪ ܓܐܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܒܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܪ̈ܩܘܗܝ ܐܣܓܝ ܘܕܠܚ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn wdlkh 'sgy brqwhy 'nwn wbdr g'rwhy shdr
Then the channels of waters appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

ܘܐܬܚܙܝܘ ܡܒ̈ܘܥܐ ܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܘܐܬܓܠܝ ܫܬܐ̈ܣܝܗ̇ ܕܬܒܝܠ ܡܢ ܟܐܬܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܢܫܡܬܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܟ
drwgzk drwkh' nshmth' wmn mry' k'thk mn dthbyl shth'syh w'thgly dmy' mbwe' w'thkhzyw
He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters.

ܫܕܪ ܡܢ ܡܪܘܡܐ ܘܫܠܢܝ ܘܩܒܠܢܝ ܡܢ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ
sgy'' my' mn wqblny wshlny mrwm' mn shdr
He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

ܘܦܨܝܢܝ ܡܢ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܥܫܝ̈ܢܐ. ܘܡܢ ܣ̈ܢܐܝ ܕܥܫܢܘ ܡܢܝ
mny deshnw sn'y wmn eshyn' beldbby mn wptsyny
They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Yahweh was my support.

ܩܕܡܘܢܝ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܥܩܬܝ ܘܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܦܪܘܩܐ
prwq' mry' ly whw' deqthy bywm' qdmwny
He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

ܘܐܦܩܢܝ ܠܐܪܘܚܬܐ. ܘܦܨܝܢܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܨܒܐ ܒܝ
by dtsb' mTl wptsyny l'rwkhth' w'pqny
Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me.

ܘܦܪܥܢܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܝ ܘܐܝܟ ܕܟܝܘܬܐ ܕܐ̈ܝܕܝ ܫܠܡܢܝ
shlmny d'ydy dkywth' w'yk zdyqwthy 'yk mry' wpreny
For I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

ܡܛܠ ܕܢܛܪܬ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܡܪܕܬ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܝ
'lhy mn 'thmrdth wl' dmry' 'wrkhthh dnTrth mTl
For all his ordinances were before me. I didn’t put away his statutes from me.

ܡܛܠ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܝܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܠܘܩܒܠܝ ܘܢܡܘ̈ܣܘܗܝ ܠܐ ܐܥܒܪܬ ܡܢܝ
mny 'ebrth l' wnmwswhy lwqbly dynwhy dklhwn mTl
I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my iniquity.

ܘܗܘܝܬ ܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ ܥܡܗ ܘܐܙܕܗܪܬ ܡܢ ܚ̈ܛܗܝ
khThy mn w'zdhrth emh mwm dl' whwyth
Therefore Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

ܘܦܪܥܢܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܝ ܘܐܝܟ ܕܟܝܘܬܐ ܕܐ̈ܝܕܝ ܩܕܡ ܥܝܢ̈ܘܗܝ
eynwhy qdm d'ydy dkywth' w'yk zdyqwthy 'yk mry' wpreny
With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.

ܥܡ ܚܣܝܐ ܚܣܝܐ ܬܗܘܐ. ܘܥܡ ܬܡܝܡܐ ܬܬܡܡ
ththmm thmym' wem thhw' khsy' khsy' em
With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.

ܘܥܡ ܓܒܝܐ ܬܬܓܒܐ ܘܥܡ ܥܩܝܡܐ ܬܬܦܬܠ
ththpthl eqym' wem ththgb' gby' wem
For you will save the afflicted people, but the arrogant eyes you will bring down.
28
ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܬ ܥܡܐ ܡܣܟܢܐ ܬܦܪܘܩ ܘܥܝ̈ܢܐ ܪ̈ܡܬܐ ܬܡܟܟ
thmkk rmth' weyn' thprwq mskn' em' d'nth mTl
For you will light my lamp, Yahweh. My God will light up my darkness.

ܐܢܬ ܬܢܗܪ ܫܪܓܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܝ ܢܢܗܪ ܚܫܘܟܝ
khshwky nnhr 'lhy mry' shrgy thnhr 'nth
For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܟ ܐܪܗܛ ܥܠ ܓܝܣܐ ܘܒܐܠܗܝ ܐܫܘܪ ܫܘܪܐ
shwr' 'shwr wb'lhy gys' el 'rhT dbk mTl
As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

ܐܠܗܐ ܕܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܡܐܡܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܩܐ ܘܡܥܕܪ ܠܟܠ ܕܬܟܝܠܝܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ
elwhy dthkylyn lkl wmedr bq' dmry' m'mrh 'wrkhh mwm ddl' 'lh'
For who is God, except Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God,
32
ܡܛܘܠ ܕܠܝܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܕܬܩܝܦ ܐܝܟ ܐܠܗܢ
'lhn 'yk dthqyp wlyth mry' mn lbr 'lh' dlyth mTwl
the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?
33
ܐܠܗܐ ܕܚܙܩܢܝ ܚܝܠܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ ܐܘܪܚܝ
'wrkhy mwm dl' wyhb khyl' dkhzqny 'lh'
He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me on my high places.

ܥܒܕ ܪ̈ܓܠܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܝܠܐ ܘܥܠ ܪܘܡܝ ܐܩܝܡܢܝ
'qymny rwmy wel d'yl' 'yk rgly ebd
He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
35
ܐܠܦ ܐ̈ܝܕܝ ܠܩܪܒܐ ܘܫܪܪ ܐܝܟ ܩܫܬܐ ܕܢܚܫܐ ܕܪ̈ܥܝ
drey dnkhsh' qshth' 'yk wshrr lqrb' 'ydy 'lp
You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.

ܝܗܒܬ ܠܝ ܣܟܪܐ ܕܦܘܪܩܢܐ. ܝܡܝܢܟ ܬܣܝܥܢܝ ܘܡܪܕܘܬܟ ܬܪܒܝܢܝ
thrbyny wmrdwthk thsyeny ymynk dpwrqn' skr' ly yhbth
You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.
37
ܐܪܘܚܬ ܦܣ̈ܥܬܝ ܬܚܘܬܝ ܕܠܐ ܢܙܘܥܘܢ ܩܘܪ̈ܨܠܝ
qwrtsly nzwewn dl' thkhwthy psethy 'rwkhth
I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. I won’t turn away until they are consumed.

ܐܪܕܘܦ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܘܐܕܪܟ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܐܗܦܘܟ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܐܓܡܪ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn d'gmr edm' 'hpwk wl' 'nwn w'drk beldbby 'rdwp
I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet.

ܐܡܚܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܠܡܩܡ ܘܢܦܠܘܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܝ
rgly thkhyth wnplwn lmqm nshkkhwn wl' 'nwn 'mkh'
For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
40
ܬܚܙܩܢܝ ܚܝܠܐ ܒܩܪܒܐ ܘܬܒܪܟ ܠܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܥܠܝ ܬܚܘܬܝ
thkhwthy ely ldqymyn wthbrk bqrb' khyl' thkhzqny
You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
41
ܘܠܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܬܬܒܪ ܩܕܡܝ ܘܠܣ̈ܢܐܝ ܐܫܬܩ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn 'shthq wlsn'y qdmy ththbr wlbeldbby
They cried, but there was no one to save; even to Yahweh, but he didn’t answer them.

ܢܓܥܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܦܪܘܩܐ ܢܒܥܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܥܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn nen' wl' mry' mn nbewn prwq' lhwn nhw' wl' ngewn
Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.

ܐܫܚܘܩ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܥܦܪܐ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܣܝܢܐ ܕܫ̈ܘܩܐ ܐܕܘܫ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn 'dwsh dshwq' syn' w'yk rwkh' 'py el epr' 'yk 'nwn 'shkhwq
You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

ܬܦܨܝܢܝ ܡܢ ܕܝܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܥܡܐ ܘܬܥܒܕܢܝ ܪܝܫܐ ܠܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܥܡܐ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܬ ܢܦܠܚܘܢܢܝ
nplkhwnny ydeth dl' em' lemm' rysh' wthebdny dem' dynwhy mn thptsyny
As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.
45
ܘܡܫܡܥ ܐܕܢܐ ܢܫܡܥܘܢܢܝ ܒܢ̈ܝܐ ܢܘܟܪ̈ܝܐ ܢܫܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܠܝ
ly nshthebdwn nwkry' bny' nshmewnny 'dn' wmshme
The foreigners shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their strongholds.
46
ܒܢ̈ܝܐ ܢܘܟܪ̈ܝܐ ܢܬܟܠܘܢ ܘܢܬܚܓܪܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܒܝ̈ܠܝܗܘܢ
shbylyhwn mn wnthkhgrwn nthklwn nwkry' bny'
Yahweh lives! Blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,

ܚܝ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܪܝܟ ܗܘ ܡܚܝܠܢܝ ܐܬܬܪܝܡ ܐܠܗܝ ܘܦܪܘܩܝ
wprwqy 'lhy 'ththrym mkhylny hw wbryk mry' hw khy
even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.

ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܝ ܬܒܥܬܐ ܘܫܥܒܕ ܠܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܬܚܘܬܝ
thkhwthy lemm' wshebd thbeth' ly dyhb 'lh'
He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.

ܘܦܨܝܢܝ ܡܢ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܘܡܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܥܠܝ ܐܪܝܡܝܢܝ ܘܡܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܬܦܨܝܢܝ
thptsyny ewl' gbr' wmn 'rymyny ely dqymyn 'ylyn wmn beldbby mn wptsyny
Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܘܕܐ ܠܟ ܒܝܬ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܡܪܝ ܘܠܫܡܟ ܐܙܡܪ
'zmr wlshmk mry emm' byth lk 'wd' hn' mTl
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.
