ܐܡܪ ܥܘܠܐ ܒܠܒܗ ܕܠܝܬ ܐܠܗܐ. ܐܬܚܒܠܘ ܘܐܬܛܢܦܘ ܒܨܢ̈ܥܬܗܘܢ ܘܠܝܬ ܕܥܒܕ ܛܒܬܐ
Tbth' debd wlyth btsnethhwn w'thTnpw 'thkhblw 'lh' dlyth blbh ewl' 'mr
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.

ܡܪܝܐ ܐܕܝܩ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܥܠ ܒܢܝܢܫ̈ܐ ܕܢܚܙܐ ܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܕܣܟܘܠܬܢ ܘܒܥܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ
l'lh' wbe' dskwlthn 'yth 'n dnkhz' bnynsh' el shmy' mn 'dyq mry'
Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.

ܟܠܗܘܢ ܣܛܘ ܐܝܟ ܚܕܐ ܘܐܣܬܠܝܘ ܘܠܝܬ ܕܥܒܕ ܛܒܬܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܚܕ
khd l' 'p Tbth' debd wlyth w'sthlyw khd' 'yk sTw klhwn
They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥܘ ܟܠ ܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܥܘܠܐ ܐ̈ܟܠܝ ܠܥܡܝ ܡܐܟܠ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܠܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܩܪܘ
qrw l' wlmry' lkhm' m'kl lemy 'kly ewl' ebdy kl ydew wl'
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh?

ܬܡܢ ܕܚܠܘ ܕܚܠܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܕܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ
dzdyq' hw bdr' d'lh' mTl dkhlth' dkhlw thmn
There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

ܬܪܥܝܬܗ ܕܡܣܟܢܐ ܐܒܗܬܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܗܘ ܬܘܟܠܢܗ
thwklnh hw dmry' mTl 'bhthw dmskn' threythh
You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.

ܡܢ ܢܬܠ ܡܢ ܨܗܝܘܢ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܐ ܕܡܗܦܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܫܒܝܬܐ ܕܥܡܗ. ܢܕܘܨ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܢܚܕܐ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl wnkhd' yeqwb ndwts demh shbyth' mry' dmhpk m' l'ysryl pwrqn' tshywn mn nthl mn
Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
