שירא דאתאמר על מסוקין דתהומא חדיתי באמרין לי בית מקדשא דיי ניזיל:
nyzyl dyy mqdsha byth ly bamryn khdythy dthhwma mswqyn el dathamr shyra
I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to Yahweh’s house!”

קימין הואה רגלנא בתרעיך ירושלם:
yrwshlm bthreyk rglna hwah qymyn
Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem!

ירושלם דמתבניא ברקיעא היך קרתא לאתחברא לה כחדא בארעא:
barea kkhda lh lathkhbra qrtha hyk brqyea dmthbnya yrwshlm
Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together,

דתמן סליקו שבטיא שבטין דיי מסהיד לישראל די שכינתיה שריא ביניהון במיזליהון לאודאה לשמא דיי:
dyy lshma lawdah bmyzlyhwn bynyhwn shrya shkynthyh dy lyshral mshyd dyy shbTyn shbTya slyqw dthmn
where the tribes go up, even Yah’s tribes, according to an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to Yahweh’s name.

ארום תמן מתיתבין כורסון בירושלם כורסון בבית מקדשא למלכיא דבית דוד:
dwd dbyth lmlkya mqdsha bbyth kwrswn byrwshlm kwrswn mthythbyn thmn arwm
For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of David’s house.

שאילו בשלמא דירושלם יתבון בשלותא רחימיך:
rkhymyk bshlwtha ythbwn dyrwshlm bshlma shaylw
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper.

יהי שלם בחיליך שלותא בברניתך:
bbrnythk shlwtha bkhylyk shlm yhy
Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.
8
מן בגלל אחי וחברי אמלל כדון שלם בך:
bk shlm kdwn amll wkhbry akhy bgll mn
For my brothers’ and companions’ sakes, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
