ܠܡܪܝܐ ܒܐܘܠܨܢܝ ܩܪܝܬ ܘܥܢܢܝ
wenny qryth b'wltsny lmry'
In my distress, I cried to Yahweh. He answered me.

ܡܪܝܐ ܘܦܨܗ̇ ܠܢܦܫܝ ܡܢ ܣ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܡܢ ܠܫ̈ܢܐ ܢܟܘ̈ܠܬܢܐ
nkwlthn' lshn' wmn dewl' spwth' mn lnpshy wptsh mry'
Deliver my soul, Yahweh, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.

ܡܢܐ ܢܬܠܘܢ ܠܟ ܘܡܢܐ ܢܘܣܦܘܢ ܠܟ ܠܫ̈ܢܐ ܢܟܘ̈ܠܬܢܐ
nkwlthn' lshn' lk nwspwn wmn' lk nthlwn mn'
What will be given to you, and what will be done more to you, you deceitful tongue?

ܓܐܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܢܝܢ. ܐܝܟ ܓܘܡܪ̈ܐ ܕܒܠܘܛܐ
dblwT' gwmr' 'yk shnynyn dgbr' g'rwhy
Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

ܘܝ ܠܝ ܕܬܘܬܒܘܬܝ ܐܓܪܬ ܘܫܪܝܬ ܒܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܩܕܪ
dqdr bmshkn' wshryth 'grth dthwthbwthy ly wy
Woe is me, that I live in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

ܣܘܓܐܐ ܥܡܪܬ ܢܦܫܝ ܥܡ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܣܢܝܢ ܫܠܡܐ
shlm' dsnyn 'ylyn em npshy emrth swg''
My soul has had her dwelling too long with him who hates peace.
