ܒܡܪܝܐ ܣܒܪܬ ܐܝܟܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܢܦܫܝ ܢܘܕܝ ܘܫܟܢܝ ܥܠ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܐܝܟ ܨܦܪܐ
tspr' 'yk Twr' el wshkny nwdy lnpshy 'nthwn 'mryn 'ykn sbrth bmry'
In Yahweh, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”?

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܚ̈ܛܝܐ ܡܠܘ ܩܫܬܐ ܘܐܬܩܢܘ ܓܐܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܝܬܪܐ ܠܡܫܕܐ ܒܥܡܛܢܐ ܒܬܪ̈ܝܨܝ ܠܒܐ
lb' bthrytsy bemTn' lmshd' ythr' el g'ryhwn w'thqnw qshth' mlw khTy' dh' mTl
For, behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

ܡܛܠ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܥܬܕܬ ܣܚܦܘ. ܙܕܝܩܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܐ ܥܒܕ
ebd mn' dyn zdyq' skhpw dethdth dmdm mTl
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

ܡܪܝܐ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܟܘܪܣܝܗ ܥܝ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܚܙܝܢ ܘܬܡܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܒܚܪܝܢ ܠܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ
'nsh' lbny bkhryn wthmrwhy khzyn eynwhy kwrsyh bshmy' mry' dqwdshh bhykl' mry'
Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.

ܡܪܝܐ ܒܚܪ ܠܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ. ܠܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܠܪ̈ܚܡܝ ܥܘܠܐ ܣܢܬ ܢܦܫܗ

Yahweh examines the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence.

ܢܚܬܘ ܥܠ ܪ̈ܫܝܥܐ ܦܚ̈ܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܛܪܐ. ܢܘܪܐ ܘܟܒܪܝܬܐ. ܪܘܚܐ ܕܡܚܘܬܐ ܡܢܬܐ ܕܟܣܗܘܢ
dkshwn mnth' dmkhwth' rwkh' wkbryth' nwr' mTr' 'yk pkh' rshye' el nkhthw
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
