ܡܛܠ ܕܦܘܡܗ ܕܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܦܘܡܗ ܕܢܟܘܠܬܢܐ ܐܬܦܬܚ ܥܠܝ ܡܠܠܘ ܥܡܝ ܒܠܫܢܐ ܕܓܠܐ
dgl' blshn' emy mllw ely 'thpthkh dnkwlthn' wpwmh drshye' dpwmh mTl
for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.

ܘܒܩܠܐ ܕܣܢܐܬܐ ܘܐܬܟܬܫܘ ܥܡܝ ܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ
sryq'yth emy w'thkthshw dsn'th' wbql'
They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.

ܘܚܠܦ ܪܚܡܬܝ ܣܩܪܘܢܝ ܘܐܢܐ ܡܨܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn hwyth mtsl' w'n' sqrwny rkhmthy wkhlp
In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.

ܦܪܥܘܢܝ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܚܠܦ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܣܢܐܬܐ ܚܠܦ ܪܚܡܬܐ
rkhmth' khlp wsn'th' Tbth' khlp byshth' prewny
They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

ܦܩܘܕ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܘܣܛܢܐ ܢܩܘܡ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܗܘܢ
ymynhwn mn nqwm wsTn' ewl' elyhwn pqwd
Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.

ܘܡܐ ܕܡܬܕܝܢܝܢ ܢܦܩܘܢ ܟܕ ܚܝܒܝܢ ܘܨܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܬܗܘܐ ܚܛܝܬܐ
khTyth' thhw' wtslwthhwn khybyn kd npqwn dmthdynyn wm'
When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.

ܢܗܘܘܢ ܝܘܡܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܙܥܘܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܡܛܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܢܣܒܘܢ
nsbwn 'khrn' lhwn dmTr wmdm zewryn ywmyhwn nhwwn
Let his days be few. Let another take his office.

ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܢܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܝܬ̈ܡܐ ܘܢܝܫ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܐܪ̈ܡܠܬܐ
'rmlth' wnyshyhwn ythm' bnyhwn nhwwn
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

ܢܩܘܡ ܡܪܐ ܚܘܒܐ ܥܠ ܟܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܢܒܨܘܢ ܢܘܟܪ̈ܝܐ ܚܝܠܗܘܢ
khylhwn nwkry' wnbtswn lhwn d'yth kl el khwb' mr' nqwm
Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.

ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܪܚܡܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܕܡܪܚܡ ܥܠ ܝܬܡ̈ܝܗܘܢ
ythmyhwn el dmrkhm nhw' wl' mrkhmn' lhwn nhw' wl'
Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.

ܬܗܘܐ ܚܪܬܗܘܢ ܠܐܒܕܢܐ ܘܠܕܪܐ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܢܬܥܛܐ ܫܡܗܘܢ
shmhwn ntheT' 'khry' wldr' l'bdn' khrthhwn thhw'
Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

ܢܬܕܟܪ ܥܘܠܐ ܕܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܚ̈ܛܗܐ ܕܐܡܗ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܢܬܥܛܘܢ
ntheTwn l' d'mhthhwn wkhTh' d'bhyhwn ewl' nthdkr
Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Yahweh. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.

ܐܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܘܢܘܒܕ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܘܟܪܢܗܘܢ
dwkrnhwn 're' mn wnwbd bklzbn mry' qdm nhwwn 'l'
Let them be before Yahweh continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;

ܥܠ ܕܠܐ ܥܗܕܘ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܪܕܦܘ ܠܡܣܟܢܐ ܘܠܒܝܫܐ ܘܠܕܡܟܐܒ ܠܒܗ ܠܡܘܬܐ
lmwth' lbh wldmk'b wlbysh' lmskn' wrdpw Tbth' lmebd ehdw dl' el
because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.

ܪܚܡܘ ܠܘ̈ܛܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܨܒܘ ܒܒܘܪ̈ܟܬܐ
bbwrkth' tsbw wl' lwTth' rkhmw
Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.

ܘܠܒܫܘ ܠܘ̈ܛܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܝܢܐ ܥܠܘ ܒܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܡܫܚܐ ܒܓܪ̈ܡܝܗܘܢ
bgrmyhwn mshkh' w'yk my' 'yk bhwn elw zyn' 'yk lwTth' wlbshw
He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.

ܬܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡܪܛܘܛܐ ܕܡܬܟܣܝܢ ܘܐܝܟ ܐܣܪ ܚ̈ܨܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ
bklzbn khts' 'sr w'yk dmthksyn mrTwT' 'yk lhwn thhw'
Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.

ܗܢܘ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܣܩܪܝܢ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܝ
npshy el byshth' dmmllyn wd'ylyn lmry' dsqryn d'ylyn ebd' hnw
This is the reward of my adversaries from Yahweh, of those who speak evil against my soul.

ܘܐܢܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܒܕ ܥܡܝ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܛܒܐ ܗܝ ܛܝܒܘܬܟ ܦܨܢܝ
ptsny Tybwthk hy dTb' mTl shmk mTl emy ebd mry' w'nth
But deal with me, Yahweh the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;

ܡܛܠ ܕܡܣܟܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܒܝܫܐ ܠܒܝ ܐܬܕܠܚ ܒܓܘܝ
bgwy 'thdlkh lby wbysh' 'n' dmskn' mTl
for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.

ܘܐܝܟ ܛܠܠܐ ܐܬܪܟܢ ܗ̈ܠܟܬܝ ܘܐܬܢܦܨܬ ܐܝܟ ܩܡܨܐ
qmts' 'yk w'thnptsth hlkthy 'thrkn Tll' w'yk
I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.

ܘܒܘܪ̈ܟܝ ܐܬܟܪܗ ܡܢ ܨܘܡܐ ܘܒܣܪܝ ܢܚܒ ܡܢ ܡܫܚܐ
mshkh' mn nkhb wbsry tswm' mn 'thkrh wbwrky
My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.

ܘܐܢܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܚܣܕܐ ܚܙܐܘܢܝ ܘܐܢܝܕܘ ܒܪ̈ܝܫܝܗܘܢ
bryshyhwn w'nydw khz'wny lkhsd' lhwn hwyth w'n'
I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.

ܥܕܪܝܢܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܝ ܘܦܪܘܩܝܢܝ ܐܝܟ ܛܝܒܘܬܟ
Tybwthk 'yk wprwqyny 'lhy mry' edryny
Help me, Yahweh, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;

ܕܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܕܝܠܟ ܗܝ ܗܕܐ ܘܐܢܬ ܥܒܕܬܗ̇
ebdthh w'nth hd' hy ddylk dndewn
that they may know that this is your hand; that you, Yahweh, have done it.
28
ܢܬܠܝܛܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܘܐܢܬ ܬܬܒܪܟ ܘܥܒܕܟ ܢܚܕܐ
nkhd' webdk ththbrk w'nth hnwn nthlyTwn
They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.

ܢܠܒܫܘܢ ܒܗܬܬܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܣܩܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܝ ܘܢܬܥܛܦܘܢܗ̇ ܐܝܟ ܦܪܝܣܐ
prys' 'yk wntheTpwnh ly hww dsqryn 'ylyn bhthth' nlbshwn
Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

ܐܘܕܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܒܦܘܡܝ ܘܒܝܢܬ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܐܫܒܚܝܘܗܝ
'shbkhywhy sgy'' wbynth bpwmy lmry' 'wd'
I will give great thanks to Yahweh with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
