צלותא על מסכנא ארום משתלהי וקדם יי יימר צלותיה:
tslwthyh yymr yy wqdm mshthlhy arwm mskna el tslwtha
Hear my prayer, Yahweh! Let my cry come to you.

יי קבל צלותי ופגינותי לקדמך תעול:
thewl lqdmk wpgynwthy tslwthy qbl yy
Don’t hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.

לא תסלק שכנתך מני ביום עקתי אצלי לותי אודנך ביומא דאקרי סרהיב עני יתי:
ythy eny srhyb daqry bywma awdnk lwthy atsly eqthy bywm mny shknthk thslq la
For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.

ארום אשתציאו היך תננא יומי ואברי היך תפיא חררן:
khrrn thpya hyk wabry ywmy thnna hyk ashthtsyaw arwm
My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.

לקא היך עסבא לבי ארום אתנשיתי אורית אולפני:
awlpny awryth athnshythy arwm lby esba hyk lqa
By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.

מן קל תנחתי אדבק גרמי לבסרי:
lbsry grmy adbq thnkhthy ql mn
I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.

אדמית לקאתא דמדברא הוית היך קפופא די בארעא נגובתא:
ngwbtha barea dy qpwpa hyk hwyth dmdbra lqatha admyth
I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.

שקדית כל ליליא והויתי היך צפר דפרח וניד בלחודיה על אגרא:
agra el blkhwdyh wnyd dprkh tspr hyk whwythy lylya kl shqdyth
My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.

כל יומא יחסדון לי בעלי דבבי מתלעבי במימרי קימו מגן:
mgn qymw bmymry mthleby dbby bely ly ykhsdwn ywma kl
For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,

ארום אפרא היך מזונא סעדית ושקיותי בבכותא מזגית:
mzgyth bbkwtha wshqywthy sedyth mzwna hyk apra arwm
because of your indignation and your wrath; for you have taken me up and thrown me away.

מן קדם רוגזך וקצפך ארום נטלתני וטלקתני:
wTlqthny nTlthny arwm wqtspk rwgzk qdm mn
My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass.
12
יומי היך טולא דיצלי ואנא היך עסבא איבש:
aybsh esba hyk wana dytsly Twla hyk ywmy
But you, Yahweh, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations.

ואת יי מדורך לעלם בשמיא תתב ודכרנך לדר ודר:
wdr ldr wdkrnk ththb bshmya lelm mdwrk yy wath
You will arise and have mercy on Zion, for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.

את תקום תרחם ציון ארום עדן למחוס עלה ארום אתא זמנא:
zmna atha arwm elh lmkhws edn arwm tsywn thrkhm thqwm ath
For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust.

ארום רעו עבדך ית אבנהא וית עפרהא יחיסון:
ykhyswn eprha wyth abnha yth ebdk rew arwm
So the nations will fear Yahweh’s name, all the kings of the earth your glory.
16
וידחלון עמיא ית שמא דיי וכל מלכיא דארעא ית יקרך:
yqrk yth darea mlkya wkl dyy shma yth emya wydkhlwn
For Yahweh has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.
17
ארום אתבני במימרא דיי קרתא דציון אתגלי ביקריה:
byqryh athgly dtsywn qrtha dyy bmymra athbny arwm
He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

אתפני לות צלותיה דמצטדין ולא בסר ית צלותהון:
tslwthhwn yth bsr wla dmtsTdyn tslwthyh lwth athpny
This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise Yah,

תתכתב צלותא דא לדר בתרי ועמא דעתיד לאתבראה ישבח יה:
yh yshbkh lathbrah dethyd wema bthry ldr da tslwtha ththkthb
for he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, Yahweh saw the earth,

ארום אודיק משמי מרומא דקודשיה יי מן שמיא לארעא אסתכל:
asthkl larea shmya mn yy dqwdshyh mrwma mshmy awdyq arwm
to hear the groans of the prisoner, to free those who are condemned to death,
21
למשמע אניקותא דאסיריא למשרי בניא דמסירין למיתותא:
lmythwtha dmsyryn bnya lmshry dasyrya anyqwtha lmshme
that men may declare Yahweh’s name in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem,

למשתעי בציון שמא דיי ותושבחיה בירושלם:
byrwshlm wthwshbkhyh dyy shma btsywn lmshthey
when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve Yahweh.

באתכנשות עמין כחדא ומלכותא למפלח קדם יי:
yy qdm lmplkh wmlkwtha kkhda emyn bathknshwth
He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.
24
אסתגיף מן טורח דאורח גלותא חילי אתקצרון יומי:
ywmy athqtsrwn khyly glwtha dawrkh Twrkh mn asthgyp
I said, “My God, don’t take me away in the middle of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.

אימר קדם אלהי לא תסלקנני מן עלמא בפלגות יומי איתי יתי לעלמא דאתי מטול די בדרי דריא שנתך:
shnthk drya bdry dy mTwl dathy lelma ythy aythy ywmy bplgwth elma mn thslqnny la alhy qdm aymr
Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.

מן שרויא דאתברי כל בריתא ארעא יסדתא ועובדי ידך שמיא:
shmya ydk wewbdy ysdtha area brytha kl dathbry shrwya mn
They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.

הנון יהובדון ואת תקום וכולהון היך לבושא יתבלין היך אצטלי תחלפינון ויתחלפון:
wythkhlpwn thkhlpynwn atsTly hyk ythblyn lbwsha hyk wkwlhwn thqwm wath yhwbdwn hnwn
But you are the same. Your years will have no end.

ואת הוא די בריתנון ושנתך לא משתלמן:
mshthlmn la wshnthk brythnwn dy hwa wath
The children of your servants will continue. Their offspring will be established before you.”
