ܡܪܝܐ ܫܡܥ ܨܠܘܬܝ ܘܓܥܬܝ ܠܘܬܟ ܬܥܘܠ
thewl lwthk wgethy tslwthy shme mry'
Don’t hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.

ܠܐ ܬܗܦܟ ܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܡܢܝ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܝ ܐܠܐ ܐܪܟܢ ܠܝ ܐܕܢܟ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܩܪܝܟ ܘܒܥܓܠ ܥܢܝܢܝ
enyny wbegl d'qryk bywm' 'dnk ly 'rkn 'l' d'wltsny bywm' mny 'pyk thhpk l'
For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.

ܡܛܠ ܕܓܡܪܘ ܒܬܢܢܐ ܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܘܓܪ̈ܡܝ ܚܘܪܘ ܐܝܟ ܡܘܩ̈ܕܐ
mwqd' 'yk khwrw wgrmy ywmy bthnn' dgmrw mTl
My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.

ܚܡܐ ܠܒܝ ܐܝܟ ܥܣܒܐ ܘܝܒܫ ܡܛܠ ܕܛܥܝܬ ܡܐܟܘܠܬܗ ܕܠܚܡܝ

By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.

ܡܢ ܩܠܐ ܕܬܐ̈ܢܚܬܝ ܕܒܩ ܒܣܪܝ ܠܓܪ̈ܡܝ
lgrmy bsry dbq dth'nkhthy ql' mn
I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.

ܘܐܬܕܡܝܬ ܠܩܩܐ ܕܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܘܗܘܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܥܘܕܐ ܒܚܪܒܬܐ
bkhrbth' ewd' 'yk whwyth dbmdbr' lqq' w'thdmyth
I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.

ܣܪܕܬ ܘܗܘܝܬ ܒܠܚܘܕܝ ܐܝܟ ܨܦܪܐ ܕܡܦܪܚܐ ܥܠ ܐܓܪ̈ܐ
'gr' el dmprkh' tspr' 'yk blkhwdy whwyth srdth
My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.

ܟܠܗ ܝܘܡܐ ܚܣܕܘܢܝ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܘܡܫܒܚ̈ܢܝ ܒܝ ܝܡܝܘ

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,

ܡܛܠ ܕܩܛܡܐ ܐܝܟ ܠܚܡܐ ܠܥܣܬ ܘܡܫܬܝ ܒܒܟܬܐ ܡܙܓܬ
mzgth bbkth' wmshthy lesth lkhm' 'yk dqTm' mTl
because of your indignation and your wrath; for you have taken me up and thrown me away.

ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܚܡܬܟ ܘܪܘܓܙܟ ܕܐܪܝܡܬܢܝ ܘܫܕܝܬܢܝ
wshdythny d'rymthny wrwgzk khmthk qdm mn
My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass.

ܝܘܡ̈ܝ ܐܝܟ ܛܠܠܐ ܐܬܪܟܢܘ ܘܐܢܐ ܝܒܫܬ ܐܝܟ ܥܣܒܐ
esb' 'yk ybshth w'n' 'thrknw Tll' 'yk ywmy
But you, Yahweh, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations.

ܘܐܢܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܩܝܡ ܐܢܬ ܘܕܘܟܪܢܟ ܠܕܪܕܪܝܢ
ldrdryn wdwkrnk 'nth qym lelm mry' w'nth
You will arise and have mercy on Zion, for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.

ܐܢܬ ܩܘܡ ܘܪܚܡ ܥܠ ܨܗܝܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܛܐ ܙܒܢܐ ܠܡܪܚܡܘ ܥܠܝܗ̇
elyh lmrkhmw zbn' dmT' mTl tshywn el wrkhm qwm 'nth
For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust.

ܡܛܠ ܕܨܒܘ ܥܒ̈ܕܝܟ ܒܟܐ̈ܦܝܗ̇ ܘܠܥܦܪܗ̇ ܪܚܡܘ
rkhmw wleprh bk'pyh ebdyk dtsbw mTl
So the nations will fear Yahweh’s name, all the kings of the earth your glory.

ܢܕܚܠܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܠܫܡܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܠܐܝܩܪܟ
l'yqrk d're' mlk' wklhwn mry' lshmk emm' ndkhlwn
For Yahweh has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.

ܡܛܠ ܕܒܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܨܗܝܘܢ ܘܡܬܚܙܐ ܒܫܘܒܚܗ
bshwbkhh wmthkhz' ltshywn mry' dbn' mTl
He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

ܘܡܬܦܢܐ ܥܠ ܨܠܘܬܐ ܕܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܐܛ ܨܠܘܬܗܘܢ
tslwthhwn sh'T wl' dmskn' tslwth' el wmthpn'
This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise Yah,

ܬܬܟܬܒ ܗܕܐ ܠܕܪܐ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܥܡܐ ܕܡܬܒܪܐ ܢܫܒܚ ܠܡܪܝܐ
lmry' nshbkh dmthbr' em' 'khry' ldr' hd' ththkthb
for he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, Yahweh saw the earth,

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܕܝܩ ܡܢ ܡܪܘܡܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܐܕܝܩ
'dyq l're' shmy' mn mry' dqwdshh mrwm' mn d'dyq mTl
to hear the groans of the prisoner, to free those who are condemned to death,

ܠܡܫܡܥ ܐܢܩܬܗ ܕܐܣܝܪܐ ܘܠܡܫܪܐ ܒ̈ܢܝܐ ܡܢ ܡܘܬܐ
mwth' mn bny' wlmshr' d'syr' 'nqthh lmshme
that men may declare Yahweh’s name in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem,

ܕܢܫܬܥܘܢ ܒܨܗܝܘܢ ܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܬܫܒܚ̈ܬܗ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ
b'wrshlm wthshbkhthh dmry' shmh btshywn dnshthewn
when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve Yahweh.

ܡܐ ܕܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܘܡ̈ܠܟܘܬܐ ܠܡܦܠܚ ܠܡܪܝܐ
lmry' lmplkh wmlkwth' 'kkhd' emm' d'thknshw m'
He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.

ܡܟܟܘ ܚܝܠܝ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܒܨܝܪܘܬܐ ܕܝܘܡ̈ܝ
dywmy wbtsyrwth' b're' khyly mkkw
I said, “My God, don’t take me away in the middle of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.

ܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܠܐ ܬܣܩܢܝ ܒܦܠܓܘܬ ܝܘܡ̈ܝ ܘܠܕܪܕܪܝܢ ܫܢܝ̈ܟ
shnyk wldrdryn ywmy bplgwth thsqny l' ly 'mr
Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.

ܡܢ ܠܩܘܕܡܝܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܬܩܢܬ ܘܥܒܕ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܫܡܝܐ
shmy' 'ydyk webd thqnth 're' lqwdmyn mn
They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.

ܗܢܘܢ ܥܒܪܝܢ ܘܐܢܬ ܩܝܡ ܐܢܬ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܠܒܘܫܐ ܒܠܝܢ ܘܐܝܟ ܡܪܛܘܛܐ ܡܬܚܠܦܝܢ
mthkhlpyn mrTwT' w'yk blyn lbwsh' 'yk wklhwn 'nth qym w'nth ebryn hnwn
But you are the same. Your years will have no end.

ܘܐܢܬ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܝܬܝܟ ܐܢܬ ܘܫ̈ܢܝܟ ܠܐ ܓܡܪ̈ܢ
gmrn l' wshnyk 'nth d'ythyk 'yk w'nth
The children of your servants will continue. Their offspring will be established before you.”

ܘܒ̈ܢܝ ܥܒ̈ܕܝܟ ܢܫܪܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܙܪܥܗܘܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܢܬܩܢ
