ܒܪܝ ܐܢ ܬܩܒܠ ܡ̈ܠܝ ܘܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝ ܬܛܫܐ ܒܠܒܟ
blbk thTsh' wpwqdny mly thqbl 'n bry
My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,

ܘܬܨܠܐ ܐܕܢܟ ܠܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܬܦܢܐ ܠܒܟ ܠܣܘܟܠܐ
lswkl' lbk wthpn' lkhkmth' 'dnk wthtsl'
so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;

ܘܬܩܪܐ ܠܣܘܟܠܐ ܘܠܣܘܟܠܐ ܬܪܝܡ ܩܠܟ
qlk thrym wlswkl' lswkl' wthqr'
yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;

ܘܬܒܥܝܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܣܐܡܐ ܘܬܒܨܝܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܣܝܡܬܐ
symth' 'yk wthbtsywhy s'm' 'yk wthbeywhy
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܣܬܟܠ ܕܚܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܬܫܟܚ ܝܕܥܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' ydethh wthshkkh dmry' dkhlthh thsthkl hydyn
then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God.

ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܗܘ ܝܗܒ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܦܘܡܗ ܝܕܥܬܐ ܘܣܘܟܠܐ
wswkl' ydeth' pwmh wmn khkmth' yhb hw dmry' mTl
For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

ܘܢܛܪ ܣܒܪܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܝܢ ܘܡܣܝܥ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ
mwm dl' dmhlkyn l'ylyn wmsye dthrytsyn l'ylyn sbr' wnTr
He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

ܘܢܛܪ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܐ ܕܕܝܢܐ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܐ ܕܚܣ̈ܝܘܗܝ ܢܢܛܪ
nnTr dkhsywhy 'wrkhth' ddyn' 'wrkhth' wnTr
that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܣܬܟܠ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܕܝܢܐ ܘܬܪܝܨܘܬܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܫ̈ܒܝܠܐ ܫܦܝܪ̈ܐ
shpyr' shbyl' dklhwn wthrytswth' wdyn' zdyqwth' thsthkl hydyn
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.

ܟܕ ܬܥܠ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܠܠܒܟ ܘܝܕܥܬܐ ܠܢܦܫܟ ܬܒܣܡ
thbsm lnpshk wydeth' llbk khkmth' thel kd
For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

ܬܪܥܝܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܬܢܛܪܟ ܘܣܘܟܠܐ ܕܟܐ̈ܢܐ ܢܫܘܙܒܟ
nshwzbk dk'n' wswkl' thnTrk Tbth' threyth'
Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,

ܕܬܬܦܨܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܐ ܒܝܫ̈ܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܗܦܝ̈ܟܬܐ
hpykth' dmmllyn gbr' wmn byshth' 'wrkhth' mn dththpts'
to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,

ܕܫܒܩܝܢ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܬܪܝܨܬܐ ܘܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܚܫܘܟܐ
dkhshwk' b'wrkh' wmhlkyn thrytsth' 'wrkh' dshbqyn
who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,

ܘܚܕܝܢ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܕܝܨܝܢ ܒܗܘܦܟܐ ܕܒܝܫܬ̈ܐ
dbyshth' bhwpk' wdytsyn byshth' lmebd wkhdyn
who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,

ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗܘܢ ܡܥܩ̈ܡܢ ܘܡܦ̈ܬܠܝܢ ܫܒܝ̈ܠܝܗܘܢ
shbylyhwn wmpthlyn meqmn 'wrkhthhwn
who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths,

ܬܦܨܝܟ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܡܢ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܢܘܟܪܝܬܐ ܕܡܗܦܟܐ ܡ̈ܠܝܗ̇
mlyh dmhpk' nwkryth' 'nthth' mn khkmth' thptsyk
to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,

ܕܫܒܩܬ ܡܪܒܝܢܐ ܕܛܠܝܘܬܗ̇ ܘܛܥܬ ܩܝܡܐ ܕܐܠܗܗ̇
d'lhh qym' wTeth dTlywthh mrbyn' dshbqth
who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;

ܛܥܬ ܐ̈ܣܟܦܬܐ ܕܒܝܬܗ̇ ܘܗ̈ܠܟܬܐ ܕܫܒܝ̈ܠܝܗ̇
dshbylyh whlkth' dbythh 'skpth' Teth
for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.

ܟܠ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܠܘܬܗ̇ ܠܐ ܗܦܟܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܕܟܪܝܢ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܐ
dkhy' 'wrkh' mthdkryn wl' hpkyn l' lwthh de'lyn kl
None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.

ܗܠܟ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܛܒ̈ܐ ܘܛܪ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ
dzdyq' 'wrkh' wTr dTb' b'wrkh' hkyl hlk
Therefore walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

ܡܛܠ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܥܡܪ̈ܝܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܫܬܚܪܝܢ ܒܗ̇
bh mshthkhryn 'nwn mwm ddl' w'ylyn b're' emryn dthryts' mTl
For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it.
