ܕܪܚܡ ܡܪܕܘܬܐ ܪܚܡ ܝܕܥܬܐ ܘܕܣܢܐ ܡܟܣܢܘܬܐ ܣܟܠܐ ܗܘ
hw skl' mksnwth' wdsn' ydeth' rkhm mrdwth' drkhm
Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

ܢܛܐܒ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܕܢܛܪ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܓܒܪܐ ܥܘܠܐ ܢܬܚܝܒ
nthkhyb ewl' wgbr' dmry' tsbynh dnTr lgbr' nT'b
A good man shall obtain favor from Yahweh, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.

ܠܐ ܢܬܩܢ ܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܒܥܘ̣ܠܗ ܘܥܩܪܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܠܐ ܢܙܘܥ
nzwe l' dzdyq' weqr' bewlh 'nsh' br nthqn l'
A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

ܐܢܬܬܐ ܓܒܪܢܝܬܐ ܟܠܝܠܐ ܗܝ ܕܒܥܠܗ̇ ܘܐܝܟ ܒܠܛܝܬܐ ܘܬܘܠܥܐ ܒܩܝܣܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܘܒܕܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܥܒܕܬ ܒܝܫ̈ܬܐ
byshth' ebdth 'nthth' lgbr' mwbd' hkn' bqys' wthwle' blTyth' w'yk dbelh hy klyl' gbrnyth' 'nthth'
A worthy woman is the crown of her husband, but a disgraceful wife is as rottenness in his bones.

ܡܚܫ̈ܒܬܗܘܢ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܗܘܦܟܗܘܢ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܢܟܠܐ
nkl' dewl' whwpkhwn dyn' dzdyq' mkhshbthhwn
The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.

ܡ̈ܠܐ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܟܡ̈ܢܢ ܠܕܡܐ ܘܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܡܦܨܐ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn mpts' dthryts' wpwmhwn ldm' kmnn dewl' ml'
The words of the wicked are about lying in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.

ܢܬܗܦܟܘܢ ܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܬܟܚܘܢ ܘܒܝܬܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܢܬܩܝܡ
nthqym dzdyq' wbyth' nshthkkhwn wl' ewl' nthhpkwn
The wicked are overthrown, and are no more, but the house of the righteous shall stand.

ܠܦܘܡܐ ܣܟܘܠܬܢܐ ܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܕܚܣܝܪ ܪܥܝܢܗ ܢܬܬܫܝܛ
nththshyT reynh wdkhsyr 'nsh' bny mshbkhyn skwlthn' lpwm'
A man shall be commended according to his wisdom, but he who has a warped mind shall be despised.

ܛܒ ܗܘ ܓܒܪܐ ܡܣܟܢܐ ܕܡܫܡܫ ܢܦܫܗ ܡܢ ܗ̇ܘ ܕܡܫܬܒܗܪ ܘܨܪܝܟ ܠܠܚܡܐ
llkhm' wtsryk dmshthbhr hw mn npshh dmshmsh mskn' gbr' hw Tb
Better is he who is little known, and has a servant, than he who honors himself and lacks bread.

ܙܕܝܩܐ ܝܕܥ ܡܢ ܢܦܫܐ ܕܒܥܝܪܗ ܘܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܐܚܝܕܝܢ ܪ̈ܚܡܝܗܘܢ
rkhmyhwn 'khydyn wewl' dbeyrh npsh' mn yde zdyq'
A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

ܕܦܠܚ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܢܣܒܥ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܕܪܗܛ ܒܬܪ ܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܚܣܝܪ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܗܘ
hw reyn' khsyr sryqwth' bthr wdrhT lkhm' nsbe b're' dplkh
He who tills his land shall have plenty of bread, but he who chases fantasies is void of understanding.

ܪܐܓ ܥܘܠܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܥܩܪܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܢܫܘܚ
nshwkh dzdyq' weqr' byshth' lmebd ewl' r'g
The wicked desires the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.

ܒܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܕܣܦ̈ܘܬܗ ܡܬܬܚܕ ܒܝܫܐ ܘܦܠܛ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ
'wltsn' mn zdyq' wplT bysh' mththkhd dspwthh bewl'
An evil man is trapped by sinfulness of lips, but the righteous shall come out of trouble.

ܓܒܪܐ ܛܒܐ ܡܢ ܦܐܪ̈ܝ ܦܘܡܗ ܢܣܒܥ ܘܟܠ ܒܪ ܐܢܫ ܐܝܟ ܥܒ̇ܕ ܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܬܦܪܥ
mthpre 'ydwhy ebd 'yk 'nsh br wkl nsbe pwmh p'ry mn Tb' gbr'
A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth. The work of a man’s hands shall be rewarded to him.

ܐܘܪܚܗ ܕܣܟܠܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܗܝ ܒܥܝܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܕܡܫܬܡܥ ܠܡܠ̣ܟܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܗܘ
hw khkym' lmlk' wdmshthme beynwhy hy shpyr' dskl' 'wrkhh
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who is wise listens to counsel.

ܣܟܠܐ ܒܪ ܝܘܡܗ ܡܘܕܥ ܪܘܓܙܗ ܘܥܪܝܡܐ ܡܛܫܐ ܨܥܪܗ
tserh mTsh' werym' rwgzh mwde ywmh br skl'
A fool shows his annoyance the same day, but one who overlooks an insult is prudent.

ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܡܬܚܙܝܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܣܗܕܐ ܕܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܢܟܘܠܬܢܐ ܗܘ
hw nkwlthn' dewl' wshd' zdyq' mmll dmthkhzy' hymnwth'
He who is truthful testifies honestly, but a false witness lies.

ܐܝܬ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܣܦܣܪܐ ܕܓܫܐ ܠܫܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܟ̈ܝܡܐ ܡܐܣܐ
m's' dkhkym' dyn lshn' dgsh' spsr' d'mryn 'yth
There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals.

ܣܦܘܬ̈ܐ ܕܩܘܫܬܐ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܢ ܘܣܗܕܐ ܡܣܪܗܒܐ ܥܘܠ ܗܘ ܠܫܢܗ
lshnh hw ewl msrhb' wshd' thrytsn dqwshth' spwth'
Truth’s lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary.

ܢܟܠܐ ܒܠܒܗ ܕܒܝܫܐ ܚܫܠ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܡܠܟܝܢ ܫܠܡܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܚܕܘܬܐ
khdwth' lhwn thhw' shlm' dmthmlkyn w'ylyn byshth' khshl dbysh' blbh nkl'
Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but joy comes to the promoters of peace.

ܠܐ ܫܦܝܪ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܥܬܐ ܘܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܡܠܝܢ ܒܝܫ̈ܬܐ
byshth' mlyn wewl' deth' mdm zdyq' lgbr' shpyr l'
No mischief shall happen to the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil.

ܣ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܕܓ̈ܠܬܐ ܡܣܠܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܨܒܐ ܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܥܒܕܝܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
hymnwth' debdyn b'ylyn wtsb' mry' msl' dglth' spwth'
Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight.

ܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܥܪܝܡܐ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܕܥܬܐ ܘܠܒܐ ܕܣ̈ܟܠܐ ܩܪܐ ܠܒܝܫܬܐ
lbyshth' qr' dskl' wlb' dydeth' hw kwrsy' erym' 'nsh' br
A prudent man keeps his knowledge, but the hearts of fools proclaim foolishness.

ܐܝܕܐ ܕܥܫܝ̈ܢܐ ܬܫܬܠܛ ܘܢܟܝ̈ܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܡܕܐܬܐ
lmd'th' nhwwn wnkyl' thshthlT deshyn' 'yd'
The hands of the diligent ones shall rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.

ܡܠܬܐ ܕܚܝܠܬܐ ܠܒܗ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܕܠܚܐ ܘܡܠܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܡܚܕܝܐ ܠܗ
lh mkhdy' Tbth' wmlth' dlkh' dgbr' lbh dkhylth' mlth'
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.

ܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܠܟ ܡܠ̣ܟܐ ܛܒܐ ܠܪܚܡܗ ܘܐܘܪܚܗܘܢ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܬܛܥܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn thTe' dewl' w'wrkhhwn lrkhmh Tb' mlk' mlk zdyq'
A righteous person is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

ܠܐ ܢܣܬܩܒܠ ܨܝܕܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܢܟܝܠܐ ܘܩܢܝܢܐ ܝܩܝܪܐ ܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܓܒܝܐ
gby' 'nsh' br yqyr' wqnyn' nkyl' lgbr' tsyd' nsthqbl l'
The slothful man doesn’t roast his game, but the possessions of diligent men are prized.

ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܚܝ̈ܐ ܘܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܐ̈ܟܬܢܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ
lmwth' d'kthn' w'wrkh' khy' dzdyqwth' b'wrkh'
In the way of righteousness is life; in its path there is no death.
