ܡܣܐ̈ܬܐ ܕܢܟܠܐ ܡܣܠܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܡܬ̈ܩܠܐ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܨܒܐ
tsb' thryts' wbmthql' mry' msl' dnkl' ms'th'
A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.

ܐܬܪ ܕܥܐܠܐ ܙܠܝܠܘܬܐ ܥܐܠ ܨܥܪܐ ܘܠܡܟܝ̈ܟܐ ܚܟܡܬܐ
khkmth' wlmkyk' tser' e'l zlylwth' de'l' 'thr
When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom.

ܣܒܪܐ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܢܬܒܢܐ ܘܪܡܘܬܐ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܬܣܬܚܦ
thsthkhp dewl' wrmwth' nthbn' dthryts' sbr'
The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

ܠܐ ܡܗܢܐ ܥܘܬܪܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܐ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܦܨܝܐ ܡܢ ܡܘܬܐ
mwth' mn mptsy' dyn zdyqwth' drwgz' bywm' ewthr' mhn' l'
Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܕܬܡܝܡܐ ܬܬܪܘܨ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܘܒܥܘ̣ܠܗ ܢܦܠ ܥ̇ܘܠܐ
ewl' npl wbewlh 'wrkhh ththrwts dthmym' zdyqwthh
The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗܘܢ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܬܦܨܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܒܥܘ̣ܠܗܘܢ ܢܬܬܚܕܘܢ
nththkhdwn bewlhwn wewl' 'nwn thpts' dthryts' zdyqwthhwn
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.

ܡܐ ܕܡܝܬ ܓܒܪܐ ܥܘܠܐ ܐܒܕ ܣܒܪܗ ܘܣܒܪܗܘܢ ܕܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܐܒܕ
'bd dbysh' wsbrhwn sbrh 'bd ewl' gbr' dmyth m'
When a wicked man dies, hope perishes, and expectation of power comes to nothing.

ܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܢܬܦܨܐ ܘܢܥܘܠ ܥܘܠܐ ܚܠܦܘܗܝ
khlpwhy ewl' wnewl nthpts' 'wltsn' mn zdyq'
A righteous person is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked takes his place.

ܥܘܠܐ ܒܦܘܡܗ ܡܚܒܠ ܚܒܪܗ ܘܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܒܝܕܥܬܐ ܢܬܥܫܢܘܢ
ntheshnwn bydeth' wzdyq' khbrh mkhbl bpwmh ewl'
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.

ܒܛܒ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܬܥܫܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܒܐܒܕܢܗܘܢ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܬܚܕܐ
thkhd' dewl' wb'bdnhwn mdynth' theshn dzdyq' bTbthhwn
When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting.

ܒܒܘܪ̈ܟܬܗܘܢ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܬܬܪܝܡ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܒܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܬܣܬܚܦ
thsthkhp dewl' wbpwmhwn mdynth' ththrym dthryts' bbwrkthhwn
By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

ܕܫܐܛ ܠܚܒܪܗ ܚܣܝܪ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܗܘ ܘܓܒܪܐ ܣܟܘܠܬܢܐ ܒܫܬܩܐ ܥܡܪ
emr bshthq' skwlthn' wgbr' hw reyn' khsyr lkhbrh dsh'T
One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his peace.

ܐܟܠܩܪܨܐ ܓܠܐ ܐܪܙܐ ܘܕܡܗܝܡܢ ܒܪܘܚܗ ܟܣܐ ܡܠܬܐ

One who brings gossip betrays a confidence, but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.

ܥܡܐ ܕܡܕܒܪܢܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܢܦܠ ܘܦܘܪܩܢܗ ܒܡܠ̣ܟܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ
sgy'' bmlk' wpwrqnh npl lh lyth dmdbrn' em'
Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.

ܒܝܫܐ ܡܒܐܫ ܡܐ ܕܐܪܥ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܣܢܐ ܠܕܡܣܟܝܢ ܠܣܒܪܐ

He who is collateral for a stranger will suffer for it, but he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.

ܐܢܬܬܐ ܡܪܚܡܢܝܬܐ ܡܣܡܟܐ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܨܥܪܐ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܣܢܝܬ ܫܪܪܐ ܚܒ̈ܢܢܐ ܐܦ ܒܥܘܬܪܗܘܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܨܪ̈ܝܟܝܢ ܘܥܫ̈ܝܢܐ ܡܣܡܟܝܢ ܝܕܥܬܐ
ydeth' msmkyn weshyn' tsrykyn hwyn bewthrhwn 'p khbnn' shrr' snyth 'nthth' dtser' dyn kwrsy' lgbr' thshbwkhth' msmk' mrkhmnyth' 'nthth'
A gracious woman obtains honor, but violent men obtain riches.

ܓܒܪܐ ܚܣܝܐ ܪܡܐ ܠܢܦܫܗ ܚ̈ܘܒܠܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ ܘܡܘܒܕ ܦܓܪܗ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܪܚܡ
mrkhm dl' gbr' pgrh wmwbd Tb' khwbl' lnpshh rm' khsy' gbr'
The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.

ܪܫܝܥܐ ܥܒܕ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܐ ܕܥܬܐ ܘܕܙܪܥ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܩܘܫܬܐ ܗܘ ܐܓܪܗ
'grh hw qwshth' zdyqwth' wdzre deth' ebd' ebd rshye'
Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.

ܒܪܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܠܚܝ̈ܐ ܘܕܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ
lmwth' byshth' wdebd lkhy' dzdyqwth' br'
He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.

ܡܣܠܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܩ̈ܝܡܝ ܠܒܐ ܘܨܒܐ ܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ
b'wrkh' 'nwn mwm ddl' b'ylyn wtsb' lb' leqymy mry' msl'
Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to Yahweh, but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.

ܕܡܘܫܛ ܐܝܕܗ ܥܠ ܚܒܪܗ ܠܐ ܢܙܟܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܙܪܥܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܢܬܦܨܐ
nthpts' dzdyq' wzre' byshth' mn nzk' l' khbrh el 'ydh dmwshT
Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.

ܐܝܟ ܩܕܫܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܒܢܚܝܪܗ̇ ܕܚܙܝܪܬܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܗܝ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܣܪܝܬ ܛܥܡܐ
Tem' sryth shpyrth' 'nthth' hy hkn' dkhzyrth' bnkhyrh ddhb' qdsh' 'yk
Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout, is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.

ܪܓܬܐ ܕܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܒܛܒ̈ܬܐ ܘܣܒܪܗܘܢ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܒܪܘܓܙܐ
brwgz' dewl' wsbrhwn bTbth' dzdyq' rgth'
The desire of the righteous is only good. The expectation of the wicked is wrath.

ܐܝܬ ܕܕܝܠܗ ܙܪܥ ܘܣܓܝ ܡܥܠ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܕܠܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܡܟܢܫ ܘܙܥܘܪ ܗܘ ܠܗ
lh hw wzewr mknsh dylh ddl' w'yth mel wsgy zre ddylh 'yth
There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.

ܢܦܫܐ ܒܪܝܟܬܐ ܬܕܗܢ ܘܠܝܛܐ ܬܘܒ ܢܬܬܠܝܛ
nththlyT thwb wlyT' thdhn brykth' npsh'
The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.

ܕܟܠܐ ܥܒܘܪܐ ܒܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܢܫܒܩܝܘܗܝ ܠܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܘܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܪܫܗ ܕܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܙܒܢ
dmzbn d'yn' rshh el thhw' wbwrkth' lbeldbbwhy nshbqywhy b'wltsn' ebwr' dkl'
People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.

ܕܒܥܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܒܥܐ ܨܒܝܢܐ ܘܕܒܥܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܬܐܬܐ ܥܠܘܗܝ
elwhy th'th' byshth' wdbe' tsbyn' be' Tbth' dbe'
He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.

ܕܬܟܝܠ ܥܠ ܥܘܬܪܗ ܢܦܠ ܘܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܐܝܟ ܛܪ̈ܦܐ ܢܦܪܥܘܢ

He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.

ܕܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܗ ܒܥܬܐ ܢܫܒܘܩ ܠܒ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܬܢܚ̈ܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܟܐܫ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܢܦܠܓ ܠܒ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܪ̈ܘܚܐ ܘܣܟܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܒ̣ܕܐ ܠܚܟܝܡܐ
lkhkym' ebd' nhw' wskl' rwkh' lbnwhy nplg bbythh k'sh dl' thnkhth' lbnwhy nshbwq beth' bythh dbn'
He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind. The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.

ܦܐܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܙܕܝܩܐ ܐܝܠܢܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܐ ܘܡܬܒܕܪ̈ܢ ܢܦܫܬ̈ܐ ܕܥܘ̈ܠܐ

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. He who is wise wins souls.
