ܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܘܝܐܐ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܐܢ ܡܡܠܐ ܒܠܒܐ ܒܚܘܒܐ ܘܐܢ ܫܘܬܦܘܬܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܢ ܪܘܚܦܐ ܘܪܚܡܐ
wrkhm' rwkhp' w'n drwkh' shwthpwth' w'n bkhwb' blb' mml' w'n bmshykh' bwy'' hkyl lkwn 'yth 'n
If therefore there is any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,

ܫܠܡܘ ܚܕܘܬܝ ܕܚܕ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܚܕ ܚܘܒܐ ܘܚܕܐ ܢܦܫ ܘܚܕܐ ܬܪܥܝܬܐ

make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;

ܘܡܕܡ ܒܚܪܝܢܐ ܐܘ ܒܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܣܪܝܩܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܒܡܟܝܟܘܬ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܟܠܢܫ ܠܚܒܪܗ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܝܬܪ ܡܢܗ ܢܚܫܘܒ

doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;

ܘܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܕܢܦܫܗ ܢܐܨܦ ܐܠܐ ܟܠܢܫ ܐܦ ܕܚܒܪܗ
dkhbrh 'p klnsh 'l' n'tsp dnpshh 'nsh wl'
each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

ܘܗܕܐ ܐܬܪܥܘ ܒܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܗܝ ܕܐܦ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ

Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,

ܗܘ ܕܟܕ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܚܛܘܦܝܐ ܚܫܒܗ ܗܕܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܦܚܡܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ

who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,

ܐܠܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܣܪܩ ܘܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܢܣܒ ܘܗܘܐ ܒܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܘܒܐܣܟܡܐ ܐܫܬܟܚ ܐܝܟ ܒܪܢܫܐ

but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.

ܘܡܟܟ ܢܦܫܗ ܘܐܫܬܡܥ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܡܘܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܙܩܝܦܐ
dzqyp' dyn mwth' lmwth' edm' w'shthme npshh wmkk
And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܣܓܝ ܪܡܪܡܗ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܫܡܐ ܕܡܝܬܪ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܫܡܗܝܢ
shmhyn kl mn dmythr shm' lh wyhb rmrmh 'sgy 'lh' 'p hn' mTl
Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;

ܕܒܫܡܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܟܠ ܒܪܘܟ ܬܟܘܦ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܕܠܬܚܬ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,

ܘܟܠ ܠܫܢ ܢܘܕܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܗܘ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܘܗܝ
'bwhy d'lh' lshwbkh' mshykh' yshwe hw dmry' nwd' lshn wkl
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

ܡܟܝܠ ܚܒܝܒܝ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܐܫܬܡܥܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܟܕ ܩܪܝܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܠܐ ܗܫܐ ܕܪܚܝܩ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܒܕܚܠܬܐ ܘܒܪܬܝܬܐ ܦܠܘܚܘ ܦܘܠܚܢܐ ܕܚܝܝܟܘܢ
dkhyykwn pwlkhn' plwkhw wbrthyth' bdkhlth' ythyr'yth mnkwn 'n' drkhyq hsh' 'l' blkhwd lkwn 'n' qryb kd l' 'shthmethwn dbklzbn 'ykn' khbyby mkyl
So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

ܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܡܚܦܛ ܒܟܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܡܨܒܐ ܐܦ ܠܡܣܥܪ ܗܘ ܡܕܡ ܕܨܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn dtsbyn mdm hw lmser 'p lmtsb' 'p bkwn mkhpT gyr hw 'lh'
For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

ܟܠܡܕܡ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܪܛܢܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܘܠܓ
pwlg wdl' rTn' dl' ebdyn hwythwn klmdm
Do all things without murmurings and disputes,

ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܬܡܝܡܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ ܐܝܟ ܒܢܝܐ ܕܟܝܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܥܡܪܝܢ ܒܕܪܐ ܥܣܩܐ ܘܡܥܩܡܐ ܘܐܬܚܙܘ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܢܗܝܪܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ
belm' nhyr' 'yk bynthhwn w'thkhzw wmeqm' esq' bdr' demryn d'lh' dky' bny' 'yk mwm wdl' thmym' dthhwwn
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,

ܕܐܝܬܝܟܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܕܘܟܬ ܚܝܐ ܠܫܘܒܗܪܝ ܕܝܠܝ ܒܝܘܡܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܩܐ ܪܗܛܬ ܘܠܐ ܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܥܡܠܬ
emlth sryq'yth wl' rhTth 'yq' hw' dl' dmshykh' bywmh dyly lshwbhry khy' bdwkth lhwn d'ythykwn
holding up the word of life; that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I didn’t run in vain nor labor in vain.

ܐܠܐ ܐܦܢ ܡܬܢܩܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܕܒܚܬܐ ܘܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܚܕܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܪܘܙ ܐܢܐ ܥܡ ܟܠܟܘܢ
klkwn em 'n' wrwz 'n' khd' dhymnwthkwn wthshmshth' dbkhth' el 'n' mthnq' 'pn 'l'
Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܚܕܘ ܘܪܘܙܘ ܥܡܝ

In the same way, you also rejoice, and rejoice with me.

ܡܣܒܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܐܫܕܪ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܠܛܝܡܬܐܘܣ ܒܥܓܠ ܕܐܦ ܠܝ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܢܝܚܐ ܟܕ ܐܠܦ ܡܛܠܬܟܘܢ
mTlthkwn 'lp kd nykh' ly nhw' ly d'p begl lTymth'ws lwthkwn d'shdr yshwe bmrn dyn 'n' msbr
But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.

ܠܝܬ ܠܝ ܓܝܪ ܐܚܪܝܢ ܗܪܟܐ ܕܐܝܟ ܢܦܫܝ ܗܘ ܕܐܟܝܦܐܝܬ ܝܨܦ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ
dylkwn ytsp d'kyp'yth hw npshy d'yk hrk' 'khryn gyr ly lyth
For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you.

ܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܦܫܗܘܢ ܗܘ ܒܥܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' dyshwe wl' beyn hw dnpshhwn gyr klhwn
For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

ܒܘܩܝܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܗܢܐ ܝܕܥܝܬܘܢ ܕܐܝܟ ܒܪܐ ܥܡ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܗܟܢܐ ܦܠܚ ܥܡܝ ܒܣܒܪܬܐ
bsbrth' emy plkh hkn' 'bwhy em br' d'yk ydeythwn dhn' dyn bwqyh
But you know the proof of him, that, as a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.

ܠܗܢܐ ܡܣܒܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܫܕܪ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܒܥܓܠ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬ ܡܐ ܕܠܘܬܝ
dlwthy m' dkhzyth m' begl lwthkwn d'shdr 'n' msbr lhn'
Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me.

ܘܬܟܝܠ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܡܪܝ ܕܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܒܥܓܠ ܐܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ
lwthkwn 'n' 'th' begl 'n' d'p mry el 'n' wthkyl
But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.

ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܠܨܬܢܝ ܨܒܘܬܐ ܕܐܫܕܪ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܠܐܦܦܪܘܕܝܛܣ ܐܚܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܥܕܪܢܐ ܘܦܠܚܐ ܕܥܡܝ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܘܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܕܚܫܚܬܝ
dkhshkhthy wmshmshn' shlykh' dyn dylkwn demy wplkh' medrn' d'ythwhy 'kh' l'pprwdyTs lwthkwn d'shdr tsbwth' 'ltsthny dyn hsh'
But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need;

ܡܛܠ ܕܣܘܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܚܙܐ ܠܟܠܟܘܢ ܘܡܥܩ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܕܥ ܕܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܕܐܬܟܪܗ
d'thkrh dshmethwn dyde hw' wmeq lklkwn lmkhz' hw' dsw' mTl
since he longed for you all, and was very troubled, because you had heard that he was sick.

ܐܦ ܐܬܟܪܗ ܓܝܪ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܪܚܡ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܥܠܝ ܕܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܥܩܐ ܥܠ ܥܩܐ
eq' el eq' ly thhw' dl' ely 'p 'l' blkhwd elwhy dyn hw' l' elwhy rkhm 'lh' 'l' lmwth' edm' gyr 'thkrh 'p
For indeed he was sick, nearly to death, but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.

ܚܦܝܛܐܝܬ ܗܟܝܠ ܫܕܪܬܗ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܕܟܕ ܬܚܙܘܢܝܗܝ ܬܘܒ ܬܚܕܘܢ ܘܠܝ ܩܠܝܠ ܢܗܘܐ ܢܦܐܫܐ
np'sh' nhw' qlyl wly thkhdwn thwb thkhzwnyhy dkd lwthkwn shdrthh hkyl khpyT'yth
I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

ܩܒܠܘܗܝ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܒܟܠ ܚܕܘܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܝܩܪܐ ܐܚܘܕܘ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn 'khwdw b'yqr' 'nwn dhkn' wl'ylyn khdw' bkl bmry' hkyl qblwhy
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor,
30
ܡܛܠ ܥܒܕܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܡܛܝ ܘܒܣܪ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܗ ܕܢܡܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܒܨܪܬܘܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܒܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܠܘܬܝ
dlwthy bthshmshth' hwythwn dbtsrthwn mdm dnml' npshh el wbsr mTy lmwth' edm' dmshykh' gyr ebd' mTl
because for the work of Christ he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.
