מלל עם אהרן ותימר ליה באדלקותך ית בוציניא לקבל אפי מנרתא יהון מנהרין שבעא בוציניא:
mll em ahrn wthymr lyh badlqwthk yth bwtsynya lqbl apy mnrtha yhwn mnhryn shbea bwtsynya
“Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lamp stand.’”

ועבד כן אהרן לקבל אפי מנרתא אדלק בוצינהא כמא די פקיד יי ית משה:
webd kn ahrn lqbl apy mnrtha adlq bwtsynha kma dy pqyd yy yth mshh
Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lamp stand, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

ודין עובד מנרתא נגידא דהב עד שידה עד שושנה נגידא היא כחזוא די אחזי יי ית משה כן עבד ית מנרתא:
wdyn ewbd mnrtha ngyda dhb ed shydh ed shwshnh ngyda hya kkhzwa dy akhzy yy yth mshh kn ebd yth mnrtha
This was the workmanship of the lamp stand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work. He made the lamp stand according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses.

קרב ית לואי מגו בני ישראל ותדכי יתהון:
qrb yth lway mgw bny yshral wthdky ythhwn
“Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

וכדין תעבד להון לדכואיהון אדי עליהון מיא דחטאתא ויעברון מספר על כל בשרהון ויחורון לבושיהון וידכון:
wkdyn thebd lhwn ldkwayhwn ady elyhwn mya dkhTatha wyebrwn mspr el kl bshrhwn wykhwrwn lbwshyhwn wydkwn
You shall do this to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.

ויסבון תור בר תורי ומנחתיה סלתא דפילא במשח ותור תנין בר תורי תסב לחטאתא:
wysbwn thwr br thwry wmnkhthyh sltha dpyla bmshkh wthwr thnyn br thwry thsb lkhTatha
Then let them take a young bull and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.

ותקרב ית לואי קדם משכן זמנא ותכנש ית כל כנשתא דבני ישראל:
wthqrb yth lway qdm mshkn zmna wthknsh yth kl knshtha dbny yshral
You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel.

ותקרב ית לואי קדם יי ויסמכון בני ישראל ית ידיהון על לואי:
wthqrb yth lway qdm yy wysmkwn bny yshral yth ydyhwn el lway
You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,

וירים אהרן ית לואי ארמא קדם יי מן בני ישראל ויהון למפלח ית פלחנא דיי:
wyrym ahrn yth lway arma qdm yy mn bny yshral wyhwn lmplkh yth plkhna dyy
and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh.

ולואי יסמכון ית ידיהון על ריש תוריא ויעבד ית חד חטאתא וית חד עלתא קדם יי לכפרא על לואי:
wlway ysmkwn yth ydyhwn el rysh thwrya wyebd yth khd khTatha wyth khd eltha qdm yy lkpra el lway
“The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.

ותקם ית לואי קדם אהרן וקדם בנוהי ותרם יתהון ארמא קדם יי:
wthqm yth lway qdm ahrn wqdm bnwhy wthrm ythhwn arma qdm yy
You shall set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh.

ותפרש ית לואי מגו בני ישראל ויהון משמשין קדמי לואי:
wthprsh yth lway mgw bny yshral wyhwn mshmshyn qdmy lway
Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
15
ובתר כן יעלון לואי למפלח ית משכן זמנא ותדכי יתהון ותרם יתהון ארמא:
wbthr kn yelwn lway lmplkh yth mshkn zmna wthdky ythhwn wthrm ythhwn arma
“After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting. You shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.

ארי אפרשא מפרשין אנון לי מגו בני ישראל חלף פתח כל ולדא בוכרא כלא מבני ישראל קרבית יתהון קדמי:
ary aprsha mprshyn anwn ly mgw bny yshral khlp pthkh kl wlda bwkra kla mbny yshral qrbyth ythhwn qdmy
For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me.

ארי דילי כל בוכרא בבני ישראל באנשא ובבעירא ביומא דקטלית כל בוכרא בארעא דמצרים אקדשית יתהון קדמי:
ary dyly kl bwkra bbny yshral bansha wbbeyra bywma dqTlyth kl bwkra barea dmtsrym aqdshyth ythhwn qdmy
For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself.

וקרבית ית לואי חלף כל בוכרא בבני ישראל:
wqrbyth yth lway khlp kl bwkra bbny yshral
I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
19
ויהבית ית לואי מסירין לאהרן ולבנוהי מגו בני ישראל למפלח ית פלחן בני ישראל במשכן זמנא ולכפרא על בני ישראל ולא יהי בבני ישראל מותא במקרב בני ישראל לקודשא:
wyhbyth yth lway msyryn lahrn wlbnwhy mgw bny yshral lmplkh yth plkhn bny yshral bmshkn zmna wlkpra el bny yshral wla yhy bbny yshral mwtha bmqrb bny yshral lqwdsha
I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.”

ועבד משה ואהרן וכל כנשתא דבני ישראל ללואי ככל די פקיד יי ית משה ללואי כן עבדו להון בני ישראל:
webd mshh wahrn wkl knshtha dbny yshral llway kkl dy pqyd yy yth mshh llway kn ebdw lhwn bny yshral
Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel did so to the Levites. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them.

ואדכיו לואי וחורו לבושיהון וארם אהרן יתהון ארמא קדם יי וכפר עליהון אהרן לדכואיהון:
wadkyw lway wkhwrw lbwshyhwn warm ahrn ythhwn arma qdm yy wkpr elyhwn ahrn ldkwayhwn
The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

ובתר כן עלו לואי למפלח ית פלחנהון במשכן זמנא קדם אהרן וקדם בנוהי כמא די פקיד יי ית משה על לואי כן עבדו להון:
wbthr kn elw lway lmplkh yth plkhnhwn bmshkn zmna qdm ahrn wqdm bnwhy kma dy pqyd yy yth mshh el lway kn ebdw lhwn
After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.

דא די ללואי מבר חמש ועשרין שנין ולעלא ייתי לחילא חילא בפלחן משכן זמנא:
da dy llway mbr khmsh weshryn shnyn wlela yythy lkhyla khyla bplkhn mshkn zmna
“This is what is assigned to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting;

ומבר חמשין שנין יתוב מחיל פלחנא ולא יפלח עוד:
wmbr khmshyn shnyn ythwb mkhyl plkhna wla yplkh ewd
and from the age of fifty years they shall retire from doing the work, and shall serve no more,
26
וישמש עם אחוהי במשכן זמנא למטר מטרא ופלחנא לא יפלח כדין תעבד ללואי במטרתהון:
wyshmsh em akhwhy bmshkn zmna lmTr mTra wplkhna la yplkh kdyn thebd llway bmTrthhwn
but shall assist their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall perform no service. This is how you shall have the Levites do their duties.”
