מלל עם אהרן ותימר ליה באדלקותך ית בוציניא לקבל אפי מנרתא יהון מנהרין שבעא בוציניא:
bwtsynya shbea mnhryn yhwn mnrtha apy lqbl bwtsynya yth badlqwthk lyh wthymr ahrn em mll
“Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lamp stand.’”

ועבד כן אהרן לקבל אפי מנרתא אדלק בוצינהא כמא די פקיד יי ית משה:
mshh yth yy pqyd dy kma bwtsynha adlq mnrtha apy lqbl ahrn kn webd
Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lamp stand, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

ודין עובד מנרתא נגידא דהב עד שידה עד שושנה נגידא היא כחזוא די אחזי יי ית משה כן עבד ית מנרתא:
mnrtha yth ebd kn mshh yth yy akhzy dy kkhzwa hya ngyda shwshnh ed shydh ed dhb ngyda mnrtha ewbd wdyn
This was the workmanship of the lamp stand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work. He made the lamp stand according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses.

קרב ית לואי מגו בני ישראל ותדכי יתהון:
ythhwn wthdky yshral bny mgw lway yth qrb
“Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

וכדין תעבד להון לדכואיהון אדי עליהון מיא דחטאתא ויעברון מספר על כל בשרהון ויחורון לבושיהון וידכון:
wydkwn lbwshyhwn wykhwrwn bshrhwn kl el mspr wyebrwn dkhTatha mya elyhwn ady ldkwayhwn lhwn thebd wkdyn
You shall do this to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.

ויסבון תור בר תורי ומנחתיה סלתא דפילא במשח ותור תנין בר תורי תסב לחטאתא:
lkhTatha thsb thwry br thnyn wthwr bmshkh dpyla sltha wmnkhthyh thwry br thwr wysbwn
Then let them take a young bull and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.

ותקרב ית לואי קדם משכן זמנא ותכנש ית כל כנשתא דבני ישראל:
yshral dbny knshtha kl yth wthknsh zmna mshkn qdm lway yth wthqrb
You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel.

ותקרב ית לואי קדם יי ויסמכון בני ישראל ית ידיהון על לואי:
lway el ydyhwn yth yshral bny wysmkwn yy qdm lway yth wthqrb
You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,

וירים אהרן ית לואי ארמא קדם יי מן בני ישראל ויהון למפלח ית פלחנא דיי:
dyy plkhna yth lmplkh wyhwn yshral bny mn yy qdm arma lway yth ahrn wyrym
and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh.

ולואי יסמכון ית ידיהון על ריש תוריא ויעבד ית חד חטאתא וית חד עלתא קדם יי לכפרא על לואי:
lway el lkpra yy qdm eltha khd wyth khTatha khd yth wyebd thwrya rysh el ydyhwn yth ysmkwn wlway
“The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.

ותקם ית לואי קדם אהרן וקדם בנוהי ותרם יתהון ארמא קדם יי:
yy qdm arma ythhwn wthrm bnwhy wqdm ahrn qdm lway yth wthqm
You shall set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh.

ותפרש ית לואי מגו בני ישראל ויהון משמשין קדמי לואי:
lway qdmy mshmshyn wyhwn yshral bny mgw lway yth wthprsh
Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.

ובתר כן יעלון לואי למפלח ית משכן זמנא ותדכי יתהון ותרם יתהון ארמא:
arma ythhwn wthrm ythhwn wthdky zmna mshkn yth lmplkh lway yelwn kn wbthr
“After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting. You shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.

ארי אפרשא מפרשין אנון לי מגו בני ישראל חלף פתח כל ולדא בוכרא כלא מבני ישראל קרבית יתהון קדמי:
qdmy ythhwn qrbyth yshral mbny kla bwkra wlda kl pthkh khlp yshral bny mgw ly anwn mprshyn aprsha ary
For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me.

ארי דילי כל בוכרא בבני ישראל באנשא ובבעירא ביומא דקטלית כל בוכרא בארעא דמצרים אקדשית יתהון קדמי:
qdmy ythhwn aqdshyth dmtsrym barea bwkra kl dqTlyth bywma wbbeyra bansha yshral bbny bwkra kl dyly ary
For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself.

וקרבית ית לואי חלף כל בוכרא בבני ישראל:
yshral bbny bwkra kl khlp lway yth wqrbyth
I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
19
ויהבית ית לואי מסירין לאהרן ולבנוהי מגו בני ישראל למפלח ית פלחן בני ישראל במשכן זמנא ולכפרא על בני ישראל ולא יהי בבני ישראל מותא במקרב בני ישראל לקודשא:
lqwdsha yshral bny bmqrb mwtha yshral bbny yhy wla yshral bny el wlkpra zmna bmshkn yshral bny plkhn yth lmplkh yshral bny mgw wlbnwhy lahrn msyryn lway yth wyhbyth
I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.”

ועבד משה ואהרן וכל כנשתא דבני ישראל ללואי ככל די פקיד יי ית משה ללואי כן עבדו להון בני ישראל:
yshral bny lhwn ebdw kn llway mshh yth yy pqyd dy kkl llway yshral dbny knshtha wkl wahrn mshh webd
Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel did so to the Levites. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them.

ואדכיו לואי וחורו לבושיהון וארם אהרן יתהון ארמא קדם יי וכפר עליהון אהרן לדכואיהון:
ldkwayhwn ahrn elyhwn wkpr yy qdm arma ythhwn ahrn warm lbwshyhwn wkhwrw lway wadkyw
The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

ובתר כן עלו לואי למפלח ית פלחנהון במשכן זמנא קדם אהרן וקדם בנוהי כמא די פקיד יי ית משה על לואי כן עבדו להון:
lhwn ebdw kn lway el mshh yth yy pqyd dy kma bnwhy wqdm ahrn qdm zmna bmshkn plkhnhwn yth lmplkh lway elw kn wbthr
After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
24
דא די ללואי מבר חמש ועשרין שנין ולעלא ייתי לחילא חילא בפלחן משכן זמנא:
zmna mshkn bplkhn khyla lkhyla yythy wlela shnyn weshryn khmsh mbr llway dy da
“This is what is assigned to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting;

ומבר חמשין שנין יתוב מחיל פלחנא ולא יפלח עוד:
ewd yplkh wla plkhna mkhyl ythwb shnyn khmshyn wmbr
and from the age of fifty years they shall retire from doing the work, and shall serve no more,
26
וישמש עם אחוהי במשכן זמנא למטר מטרא ופלחנא לא יפלח כדין תעבד ללואי במטרתהון:
bmTrthhwn llway thebd kdyn yplkh la wplkhna mTra lmTr zmna bmshkn akhwhy em wyshmsh
but shall assist their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall perform no service. This is how you shall have the Levites do their duties.”
