ומליל יי עם משה ועם אהרן למימר:
lmymr ahrn wem mshh em yy wmlyl
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

קבילו ית חשבן בני קהת מגו בני לוי לזרעיתהון לבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn lbyth lzreythhwn lwy bny mgw qhth bny khshbn yth qbylw
“Take a census of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,

מבר תלתין שנין ולעלא ועד בר חמשין שנין כל דאתי לחילא למעבד עבדתא במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn ebdtha lmebd lkhyla dathy kl shnyn khmshyn br wed wlela shnyn thlthyn mbr
from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all who enter into the service to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.

דין פולחן בני קהת במשכן זמנא קדש קודשיא:
qwdshya qdsh zmna bmshkn qhth bny pwlkhn dyn
“This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting, regarding the most holy things.

ויעול אהרן ובנוהי במטל משריתא ויפרקון ית פרכתא דפרסא ויכסון בה ית ארונא דסהדותא:
dshdwtha arwna yth bh wykswn dprsa prktha yth wyprqwn mshrytha bmTl wbnwhy ahrn wyewl
When the camp moves forward, Aaron shall go in with his sons; and they shall take down the veil of the screen, cover the ark of the Testimony with it,

ויתנון עלוהי חופאה דמשך ססגונא ויפרסון לבוש גמיר תכלא מלעלא וישוון אריחוהי:
arykhwhy wyshwwn mlela thkla gmyr lbwsh wyprswn ssgwna dmshk khwpah elwhy wythnwn
put a covering of sealskin on it, spread a blue cloth over it, and put in its poles.

ועל פתורא דלחם אפיא יפרסון לבוש תכלא ויתנון עלוהי ית מגיסיא וית בזיכיא וית מכילתא וית קסוות נסוכא ולחם תדירא עלוהי יהי:
yhy elwhy thdyra wlkhm nswka qswwth wyth mkyltha wyth bzykya wyth mgysya yth elwhy wythnwn thkla lbwsh yprswn apya dlkhm pthwra wel
“On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the cups with which to pour out; and the continual bread shall be on it.

ויפרסון עליהון לבוש צבע זהורי ויכסון יתיה בחופאה דמשך ססגונא וישוון ית אריחוהי:
arykhwhy yth wyshwwn ssgwna dmshk bkhwpah ythyh wykswn zhwry tsbe lbwsh elyhwn wyprswn
They shall spread on them a scarlet cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.

ויסבון לבוש תכלא ויכסון ית מנרתא דאנהורי וית בוצינהא וית צבתהא וית מחתיתהא וית כל מני משחא די ישמשון ליה בהון:
bhwn lyh yshmshwn dy mshkha mny kl wyth mkhthythha wyth tsbthha wyth bwtsynha wyth danhwry mnrtha yth wykswn thkla lbwsh wysbwn
“They shall take a blue cloth and cover the lamp stand of the light, its lamps, its snuffers, its snuff dishes, and all its oil vessels, with which they minister to it.

ויתנון יתה וית כל מנהא לחופאה דמשך ססגונא ויתנון על אריחא:
arykha el wythnwn ssgwna dmshk lkhwpah mnha kl wyth ythh wythnwn
They shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it on the frame.

ועל מדבחא דדהבא יפרסון לבוש תכלא ויכסון יתיה בחופאה דמשך ססגונא וישוון ית אריחוהי:
arykhwhy yth wyshwwn ssgwna dmshk bkhwpah ythyh wykswn thkla lbwsh yprswn ddhba mdbkha wel
“On the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.

ויסבון ית כל מני שמושא די ישמשון בהון בקודשא ויתנון ללבוש תכלא ויכסון יתהון בחופאה דמשך ססגונא ויתנון על אריחא:
arykha el wythnwn ssgwna dmshk bkhwpah ythhwn wykswn thkla llbwsh wythnwn bqwdsha bhwn yshmshwn dy shmwsha mny kl yth wysbwn
“They shall take all the vessels of ministry with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame.

ויספון ית קטמא דמדבחא ויפרסון עלוהי לבוש ארגון:
argwn lbwsh elwhy wyprswn dmdbkha qTma yth wyspwn
“They shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it.
14
ויתנון עלוהי ית כל מנוהי די ישמשון עלוהי בהון ית מחתיתא וית צנוריתא וית מגרופיתא וית מזרקיא כל מני מדבחא ויפרסון עלוהי חופאה דמשך ססגונא וישוון אריחוהי:
arykhwhy wyshwwn ssgwna dmshk khwpah elwhy wyprswn mdbkha mny kl mzrqya wyth mgrwpytha wyth tsnwrytha wyth mkhthytha yth bhwn elwhy yshmshwn dy mnwhy kl yth elwhy wythnwn
They shall put on it all its vessels with which they minister about it, the fire pans, the meat hooks, the shovels, and the basins—all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles.

וישיצי אהרן ובנוהי לכסאה ית קודשא וית כל מני קודשא במטל משריתא ובתר כן יעלון בני קהת למטל ולא יקרבון לקודשא ולא ימותון אלין מטול בני קהת במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn qhth bny mTwl alyn ymwthwn wla lqwdsha yqrbwn wla lmTl qhth bny yelwn kn wbthr mshrytha bmTl qwdsha mny kl wyth qwdsha yth lksah wbnwhy ahrn wyshytsy
“When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. The sons of Kohath shall carry these things belonging to the Tent of Meeting.

ודי מסיר לאלעזר בר אהרן כהנא משחא דאנהרותא וקטרת בוסמיא ומנחתא תדירא ומשחא דרבותא מטרת כל משכנא וכל די ביה בקודשא ובמנוהי:
wbmnwhy bqwdsha byh dy wkl mshkna kl mTrth drbwtha wmshkha thdyra wmnkhtha bwsmya wqTrth danhrwtha mshkha khna ahrn br lalezr msyr wdy
“The duty of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the continual meal offering, and the anointing oil, the requirements of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, the sanctuary, and its furnishings.”

ומליל יי עם משה ועם אהרן למימר:
lmymr ahrn wem mshh em yy wmlyl
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
18
לא תשיצון ית שבטא זרעית קהת מגו לואי:
lway mgw qhth zreyth shbTa yth thshytswn la
“Don’t cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;
19
ודא עבידו להון ויחון ולא ימותון במקרבהון לקדש קודשיא אהרן ובנוהי יעלון וימנון יתהון גבר גבר על פולחניה ולמטוליה:
wlmTwlyh pwlkhnyh el gbr gbr ythhwn wymnwn yelwn wbnwhy ahrn qwdshya lqdsh bmqrbhwn ymwthwn wla wykhwn lhwn ebydw wda
but do this to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint everyone to his service and to his burden;
20
ולא יעלון למחזי כד מכסן ית מני קודשא ולא ימותון:
ymwthwn wla qwdsha mny yth mksn kd lmkhzy yelwn wla
but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.”
22
קבל ית חשבן בני גרשון אף אנון לבית אבהתהון לזרעיתהון:
lzreythhwn abhthhwn lbyth anwn ap grshwn bny khshbn yth qbl
“Take a census of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses, by their families;
23
מבר תלתין שנין ולעלא עד בר חמשין שנין תמני יתהון כל דאתי לחילא חילא למפלח פלחנא במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn plkhna lmplkh khyla lkhyla dathy kl ythhwn thmny shnyn khmshyn br ed wlela shnyn thlthyn mbr
you shall count them from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old: all who enter in to wait on the service, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.

דין פלחן זרעית גרשון למפלח ולמטול:
wlmTwl lmplkh grshwn zreyth plkhn dyn
“This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:
25
ויטלון ית יריעת משכנא וית משכן זמנא חופאיה וחופאה דססגונא די עלוהי מלעלא וית פרסא דתרע משכן זמנא:
zmna mshkn dthre prsa wyth mlela elwhy dy dssgwna wkhwpah khwpayh zmna mshkn wyth mshkna yryeth yth wyTlwn
they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, the covering of sealskin that is on it, the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,

וית סרדי דרתא וית פרסא דמעלנא דתרע דרתא די על משכנא ועל מדבחא סחור סחור וית אטוניהון וית כל מני פלחנהון וית כל די יתמסר להון ויפלחון:
wyplkhwn lhwn ythmsr dy kl wyth plkhnhwn mny kl wyth aTwnyhwn wyth skhwr skhwr mdbkha wel mshkna el dy drtha dthre dmelna prsa wyth drtha srdy wyth
the hangings of the court, the screen for the door of the gate of the court which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done with them. They shall serve in there.

על מימר אהרן ובנוהי יהי כל פלחן בני גרשון לכל מטולהון ולכל פלחנהון ותמנון עליהון במטרא ית כל מטולהון:
mTwlhwn kl yth bmTra elyhwn wthmnwn plkhnhwn wlkl mTwlhwn lkl grshwn bny plkhn kl yhy wbnwhy ahrn mymr el
At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden and in all their service; and you shall appoint their duty to them in all their responsibilities.

דין פלחן זרעית בני גרשון במשכן זמנא ומטרתהון בידא דאיתמר בר אהרן כהנא:
khna ahrn br daythmr byda wmTrthhwn zmna bmshkn grshwn bny zreyth plkhn dyn
This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting. Their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

בני מררי לזרעיתהון לבית אבהתהון תמני יתהון:
ythhwn thmny abhthhwn lbyth lzreythhwn mrry bny
“As for the sons of Merari, you shall count them by their families, by their fathers’ houses;
30
מבר תלתין שנין ולעלא ועד בר חמשין שנין תמננון כל דאתי לחילא למפלח ית פלחן משכן זמנא:
zmna mshkn plkhn yth lmplkh lkhyla dathy kl thmnnwn shnyn khmshyn br wed wlela shnyn thlthyn mbr
you shall count them from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who enters on the service, to do the work of the Tent of Meeting.

ודא מטרת מטולהון לכל פלחנהון במשכן זמנא דפי משכנא ועברוהי ועמודוהי וסמכוהי:
wsmkwhy wemwdwhy webrwhy mshkna dpy zmna bmshkn plkhnhwn lkl mTwlhwn mTrth wda
This is the duty of their burden, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting: the tabernacle’s boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets,

ועמודי דדרתא סחור סחור וסמכיהון וסכיהון ואטוניהון לכל מניהון ולכל פלחנהון ובשמהן תמנון ית מני מטרת מטולהון:
mTwlhwn mTrth mny yth thmnwn wbshmhn plkhnhwn wlkl mnyhwn lkl waTwnyhwn wskyhwn wsmkyhwn skhwr skhwr ddrtha wemwdy
the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service. You shall appoint the instruments of the duty of their burden to them by name.
33
דין פלחן זרעית בני מררי לכל פלחנהון במשכן זמנא בידא דאיתמר בר אהרן כהנא:
khna ahrn br daythmr byda zmna bmshkn plkhnhwn lkl mrry bny zreyth plkhn dyn
This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.”

ומנא משה ואהרן ורברבי כנשתא ית בני קהת לזרעיתהון ולבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn wlbyth lzreythhwn qhth bny yth knshtha wrbrby wahrn mshh wmna
Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation counted the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,

מבר תלתין שנין ולעלא ועד בר חמשין שנין כל דאתי לחילא לפלחנא במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn lplkhna lkhyla dathy kl shnyn khmshyn br wed wlela shnyn thlthyn mbr
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting.
36
והוו מניניהון לזרעיתהון תרין אלפין שבע מאה וחמשין:
wkhmshyn mah shbe alpyn thryn lzreythhwn mnynyhwn whww
Those who were counted of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred fifty.
37
אלין מניני זרעית קהת כל דפלח במשכן זמנא די מנא משה ואהרן על מימרא דיי בידא דמשה:
dmshh byda dyy mymra el wahrn mshh mna dy zmna bmshkn dplkh kl qhth zreyth mnyny alyn
These are those who were counted of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.
38
ומניני בני גרשון לזרעיתהון ולבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn wlbyth lzreythhwn grshwn bny wmnyny
Those who were counted of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,
39
מבר תלתין שנין ולעלא ועד בר חמשין שנין כל דאתי לחילא לפלחנא במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn lplkhna lkhyla dathy kl shnyn khmshyn br wed wlela shnyn thlthyn mbr
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting,

והוו מניניהון לזרעיתהון לבית אבהתהון תרין אלפין ושית מאה ותלתין:
wthlthyn mah wshyth alpyn thryn abhthhwn lbyth lzreythhwn mnynyhwn whww
even those who were counted of them, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, were two thousand six hundred thirty.
41
אלין מניני זרעית בני גרשון כל דפלח במשכן זמנא די מנא משה ואהרן על מימרא דיי:
dyy mymra el wahrn mshh mna dy zmna bmshkn dplkh kl grshwn bny zreyth mnyny alyn
These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Gershon, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh.

ומניני זרעית בני מררי לזרעיתהון לבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn lbyth lzreythhwn mrry bny zreyth wmnyny
Those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,
43
מבר תלתין שנין ולעלא ועד בר חמשין שנין כל דאתי לחילא לפלחנא במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn lplkhna lkhyla dathy kl shnyn khmshyn br wed wlela shnyn thlthyn mbr
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting,

והוו מניניהון לזרעיתהון תלתא אלפין ומאתן:
wmathn alpyn thltha lzreythhwn mnynyhwn whww
even those who were counted of them by their families, were three thousand two hundred.
45
אלין מניני זרעית בני מררי די מנא משה ואהרן על מימרא דיי בידא דמשה:
dmshh byda dyy mymra el wahrn mshh mna dy mrry bny zreyth mnyny alyn
These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

כל מניניא די מנא משה ואהרן ורברבי ישראל ית לואי לזרעיתהון ולבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn wlbyth lzreythhwn lway yth yshral wrbrby wahrn mshh mna dy mnynya kl
All those who were counted of the Levites whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel counted, by their families and by their fathers’ houses,

מבר תלתין שנין ולעלא ועד בר חמשין שנין כל דאתי למפלח פלחן פלחנא ופלחן מטול במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn mTwl wplkhn plkhna plkhn lmplkh dathy kl shnyn khmshyn br wed wlela shnyn thlthyn mbr
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered in to do the work of service and the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting,

והוו מניניהון תמניא אלפין וחמש מאה ותמנן:
wthmnn mah wkhmsh alpyn thmnya mnynyhwn whww
even those who were counted of them, were eight thousand five hundred eighty.
49
על מימרא דיי מנא יתהון בידא דמשה גבר גבר על פלחניה ועל מטוליה ומנינוהי די פקיד יי ית משה:
mshh yth yy pqyd dy wmnynwhy mTwlyh wel plkhnyh el gbr gbr dmshh byda ythhwn mna dyy mymra el
According to the commandment of Yahweh they were counted by Moses, everyone according to his service and according to his burden. Thus they were counted by him, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
