וקריבו רישי אבהתא לזרעית בני גלעד בר מכיר בר מנשה מזרעית בני יוסף ומלילו קדם משה וקדם רברביא רישי אבהתא לבני ישראל:
wqrybw ryshy abhtha lzreyth bny gled br mkyr br mnshh mzreyth bny ywsp wmlylw qdm mshh wqdm rbrbya ryshy abhtha lbny yshral
The heads of the fathers’ households of the family of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near and spoke before Moses and before the princes, the heads of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel.

ואמרו ית רבוני פקיד יי למתן ית ארעא באחסנא בעדבא לבני ישראל ורבוני אתפקד בממרא דיי למתן ית אחסנת צלפחד אחונא לבנתיה:
wamrw yth rbwny pqyd yy lmthn yth area bakhsna bedba lbny yshral wrbwny athpqd bmmra dyy lmthn yth akhsnth tslpkhd akhwna lbnthyh
They said, “Yahweh commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the children of Israel. My lord was commanded by Yahweh to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.

ויהוין לחד מבני שבטיא דבני ישראל לנשין ותתמנע אחסנתהון מאחסנת אבהתנא ותתוסף על אחסנת שבטיא די יהוין להון ומעדב אחסנתא יתמנע:
wyhwyn lkhd mbny shbTya dbny yshral lnshyn wththmne akhsnthhwn makhsnth abhthna wththwsp el akhsnth shbTya dy yhwyn lhwn wmedb akhsntha ythmne
If they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So it will be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.

ואם יהי יובלא לבני ישראל ותתוסף אחסנתהון על אחסנת שבטא די תהוין להון ומאחסנת שבטא דאבהתנא יתמנע אחסנתהן:
wam yhy ywbla lbny yshral wththwsp akhsnthhwn el akhsnth shbTa dy thhwyn lhwn wmakhsnth shbTa dabhthna ythmne akhsnthhn
When the jubilee of the children of Israel comes, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.”

ופקיד משה ית בני ישראל על מימרא דיי למימר יאות שבטא דבני יוסף ממללין:
wpqyd mshh yth bny yshral el mymra dyy lmymr yawth shbTa dbny ywsp mmllyn
Moses commanded the children of Israel according to Yahweh’s word, saying, “The tribe of the sons of Joseph speak what is right.

דין פתגמא די פקיד יי לבנת צלפחד למימר לדתקין בעיניהון תהוין לנשין ברם לזרעית שבטא דאבוהן תהוין לנשין:
dyn pthgma dy pqyd yy lbnth tslpkhd lmymr ldthqyn beynyhwn thhwyn lnshyn brm lzreyth shbTa dabwhn thhwyn lnshyn
This is the thing which Yahweh commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘Let them be married to whom they think best, only they shall marry into the family of the tribe of their father.

ולא תסחר אחסנא לבני ישראל משבטא לשבטא ארי גבר באחסנת שבטא דאבהתוהי ידבקון בני ישראל:
wla thskhr akhsna lbny yshral mshbTa lshbTa ary gbr bakhsnth shbTa dabhthwhy ydbqwn bny yshral
So shall no inheritance of the children of Israel move from tribe to tribe; for the children of Israel shall all keep the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

וכל ברתא ירתת אחסנא משבטיא דבני ישראל לחד מזרעית שבטא דאבוהא תהי לאנתו בדיל די ירתון בני ישראל גבר אחסנת אבהתוהי:
wkl brtha yrthth akhsna mshbTya dbny yshral lkhd mzreyth shbTa dabwha thhy lanthw bdyl dy yrthwn bny yshral gbr akhsnth abhthwhy
Every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may each possess the inheritance of his fathers.

ולא תסחר אחסנא משבטא לשבטא אוחרנא ארי גבר באחסנתיה ידבקון שבטיא דבני ישראל:
wla thskhr akhsna mshbTa lshbTa awkhrna ary gbr bakhsnthyh ydbqwn shbTya dbny yshral
So shall no inheritance move from one tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the children of Israel shall each keep his own inheritance.’”

כמא די פקיד יי ית משה כן עבדו בנת צלפחד:
kma dy pqyd yy yth mshh kn ebdw bnth tslpkhd
The daughters of Zelophehad did as Yahweh commanded Moses:

והואה מחלה תרצה וחגלה ומלכה ונעה בנת צלפחד לבני אחי אבוהן לנשין:
whwah mkhlh thrtsh wkhglh wmlkh wneh bnth tslpkhd lbny akhy abwhn lnshyn
for Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married to their father’s brothers’ sons.

מזרעית בני מנשה בר יוסף הואה לנשין והות אחסנתהן על שבטא זרעית אבוהן:
mzreyth bny mnshh br ywsp hwah lnshyn whwth akhsnthhn el shbTa zreyth abwhn
They were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph. Their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

אלין פקודיא ודיניא די פקיד יי בידא דמשה לות בני ישראל במישריא דמואב על ירדנא דירחו:
alyn pqwdya wdynya dy pqyd yy byda dmshh lwth bny yshral bmyshrya dmwab el yrdna dyrkhw
These are the commandments and the ordinances which Yahweh commanded by Moses to the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
