ואמר משה לבני ישראל ככל די פקיד יי ית משה:
wamr mshh lbny yshral kkl dy pqyd yy yth mshh
Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded.

ומליל משה עם רישי שבטיא לבני ישראל למימר דין פתגמא די פקיד יי:
wmlyl mshh em ryshy shbTya lbny yshral lmymr dyn pthgma dy pqyd yy
When a man vows a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

גבר ארי ידר נדר קדם יי או יקים קים למסר אסר על נפשיה לא יבטל פתגמיה ככל דיפוק מפומיה יעבד:
gbr ary ydr ndr qdm yy aw yqym qym lmsr asr el npshyh la ybTl pthgmyh kkl dypwq mpwmyh yebd
“Also, when a woman vows a vow to Yahweh and binds herself by a pledge, being in her father’s house, in her youth,

ואתתא ארי תדר נדר קדם יי ותסר איסר בבית אבוהא ברביותהא:
waththa ary thdr ndr qdm yy wthsr aysr bbyth abwha brbywthha
and her father hears her vow and her pledge with which she has bound her soul, and her father says nothing to her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge with which she has bound her soul shall stand.

וישמע אבוהא ית נדרה ואסרה די אסרת על נפשה וישתוק לה אבוהא ויקומון כל נדרהא וכל אסרי די אסרת על נפשה יקומון:
wyshme abwha yth ndrh wasrh dy asrth el npshh wyshthwq lh abwha wyqwmwn kl ndrha wkl asry dy asrth el npshh yqwmwn
But if her father forbids her in the day that he hears, none of her vows or of her pledges with which she has bound her soul, shall stand. Yahweh will forgive her, because her father has forbidden her.

ואם אעדי אבוהא יתה ביומא דשמע כל נדרהא ואסרהא די אסרת על נפשה לא יקומון ומן קדם יי ישתבק לה ארי אעדי אבוהא יתה:
wam aedy abwha ythh bywma dshme kl ndrha wasrha dy asrth el npshh la yqwmwn wmn qdm yy yshthbq lh ary aedy abwha ythh
“If she has a husband, while her vows are on her, or the rash utterance of her lips with which she has bound her soul,

ואם מהוה תהוי לגבר ונדרהא עלה או פרוש ספותהא די אסרת על נפשה:
wam mhwh thhwy lgbr wndrha elh aw prwsh spwthha dy asrth el npshh
and her husband hears it, and says nothing to her in the day that he hears it; then her vows shall stand, and her pledges with which she has bound her soul shall stand.

וישמע בעלה ביומא דשמע וישתוק לה ויקומון נדרהא ואסרהא די אסרת על נפשה יקומון:
wyshme belh bywma dshme wyshthwq lh wyqwmwn ndrha wasrha dy asrth el npshh yqwmwn
But if her husband forbids her in the day that he hears it, then he makes void her vow which is on her and the rash utterance of her lips, with which she has bound her soul. Yahweh will forgive her.

ואם ביומא דשמע בעלה אעדי יתה ובטל ית נדרהא די עלה וית פרוש ספותהא די אסרת על נפשה ומן קדם יי ישתביק לה:
wam bywma dshme belh aedy ythh wbTl yth ndrha dy elh wyth prwsh spwthha dy asrth el npshh wmn qdm yy yshthbyq lh
“But the vow of a widow, or of her who is divorced, everything with which she has bound her soul shall stand against her.

ונדר ארמלא ומתרכא כל די אסרת על נפשה יקום עלה:
wndr armla wmthrka kl dy asrth el npshh yqwm elh
“If she vowed in her husband’s house or bound her soul by a bond with an oath,

ואם בית בעלה נדרת או אסרת אסר על נפשה בקיום:
wam byth belh ndrth aw asrth asr el npshh bqywm
and her husband heard it, and held his peace at her and didn’t disallow her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge with which she bound her soul shall stand.

וישמע בעלה וישתוק לה לא אעדי יתהון ויקומון כל נדרהא וכל אסרי די אסרת על נפשה יקומון:
wyshme belh wyshthwq lh la aedy ythhwn wyqwmwn kl ndrha wkl asry dy asrth el npshh yqwmwn
But if her husband made them null and void in the day that he heard them, then whatever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand. Her husband has made them void. Yahweh will forgive her.

ואם בטלא יבטל יתהון בעלה ביומא די שמע כל אפקות ספותהא לנדרהא ולאסר נפשה לא יקומון בעלה בטלנון ומן קדם יי ישתביק לה:
wam bTla ybTl ythhwn belh bywma dy shme kl apqwth spwthha lndrha wlasr npshh la yqwmwn belh bTlnwn wmn qdm yy yshthbyq lh
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.

כל נדר וכל קיומת אסר לסגפא נפש בעלה יקימנון ובעלה יבטלנון:
kl ndr wkl qywmth asr lsgpa npsh belh yqymnwn wbelh ybTlnwn
But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows or all her pledges which are on her. He has established them, because he said nothing to her in the day that he heard them.

ואם משתק ישתוק לה בעלה מיום ליום ויקים ית כל נדרהא או ית כל אסרהא די עלה קים יתהון ארי שתק לה ביומא דשמע:
wam mshthq yshthwq lh belh mywm lywm wyqym yth kl ndrha aw yth kl asrha dy elh qym ythhwn ary shthq lh bywma dshme
But if he makes them null and void after he has heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.”

ואם בטלא יבטל יתהון בתר דשמע ויקבל ית חובה:
wam bTla ybTl ythhwn bthr dshme wyqbl yth khwbh
These are the statutes which Yahweh commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, being in her youth, in her father’s house.
17
אלין קימיא די פקיד יי ית משה בין גבר לאתתיה בין אבא לברתיה ברביותהא בית אבוהא:
alyn qymya dy pqyd yy yth mshh byn gbr laththyh byn aba lbrthyh brbywthha byth abwha
