ומליל יי עם משה ועם אהרן למימר:
lmymr ahrn wem mshh em yy wmlyl
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

גבר על טקסיה באתון לבית אבהתהון ישרון בני ישראל מלקבל סחור סחור למשכן זמנא ישרון:
yshrwn zmna lmshkn skhwr skhwr mlqbl yshral bny yshrwn abhthhwn lbyth bathwn Tqsyh el gbr
“The children of Israel shall encamp every man by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers’ houses. They shall encamp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it.

ודי שרן קדומא מדינחא טקס משרית יהודה לחיליהון ורבא לבני יהודה נחשון בר עמינדב:
emyndb br nkhshwn yhwdh lbny wrba lkhylyhwn yhwdh mshryth Tqs mdynkha qdwma shrn wdy
“Those who encamp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

וחיליה ומניניהון שבעין וארבעא אלפין ושית מאה:
mah wshyth alpyn warbea shbeyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

ודי שרן סמיכין עלוהי שבטא דיששכר ורבא לבני יששכר נתנאל בר צוער:
tswer br nthnal yshshkr lbny wrba dyshshkr shbTa elwhy smykyn shrn wdy
“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar. The prince of the children of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar.

וחיליה ומנינוהי חמשין וארבעא אלפין וארבע מאה:
mah warbe alpyn warbea khmshyn wmnynwhy wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of it, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.
7
שבטא דזבולן ורבא לבני זבולן אליאב בר חלון:
khlwn br alyab zbwln lbny wrba dzbwln shbTa
“The tribe of Zebulun: the prince of the children of Zebulun shall be Eliab the son of Helon.

וחיליה ומנינוהי חמשין ושבעא אלפין וארבע מאה:
mah warbe alpyn wshbea khmshyn wmnynwhy wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of it, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
9
כל מניניא למשרית יהודה מאה ותמנן ושתא אלפין וארבע מאה לחיליהון בקדמיתא נטלין:
nTlyn bqdmytha lkhylyhwn mah warbe alpyn wshtha wthmnn mah yhwdh lmshryth mnynya kl
“All who were counted of the camp of Judah were one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred, according to their divisions. They shall set out first.

טקס משרית ראובן דרומא לחיליהון ורבא לבני ראובן אליצור בר שדיאור:
shdyawr br alytswr rawbn lbny wrba lkhylyhwn drwma rawbn mshryth Tqs
“On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.

וחיליה ומנינוהי ארבעין ושתא אלפין וחמש מאה:
mah wkhmsh alpyn wshtha arbeyn wmnynwhy wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of it, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

ודי שרן סמיכין עלוהי שבטא דשמעון ורבא לבני שמעון שלמיאל בר צורישדי:
tswryshdy br shlmyal shmewn lbny wrba dshmewn shbTa elwhy smykyn shrn wdy
“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon. The prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

וחיליה ומניניהון חמשין ותשע אלפין ותלת מאה:
mah wthlth alpyn wthshe khmshyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
14
ושבטא דגד ורבא לבני גד אליסף בר רעואל:
rewal br alysp gd lbny wrba dgd wshbTa
“The tribe of Gad: the prince of the children of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.
15
וחיליה ומניניהון ארבעין וחמשא אלפין ושית מאה וחמשין:
wkhmshyn mah wshyth alpyn wkhmsha arbeyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
16
כל מניניא למשרית ראובן מאה וחמשין וחד אלפין וארבע מאה וחמשין לחיליהון בתניתא נטלין:
nTlyn bthnytha lkhylyhwn wkhmshyn mah warbe alpyn wkhd wkhmshyn mah rawbn lmshryth mnynya kl
“All who were counted of the camp of Reuben were one hundred fifty-one thousand four hundred fifty, according to their armies. They shall set out second.

ונטל משכן זמנא משרית לואי בגו משריתא כמא דשרן כן נטלין גבר על אתריה לטקסיהון:
lTqsyhwn athryh el gbr nTlyn kn dshrn kma mshrytha bgw lway mshryth zmna mshkn wnTl
“Then the Tent of Meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps. As they encamp, so shall they set out, every man in his place, by their standards.

טקס משרית אפרים לחיליהון מערבא ורבא לבני אפרים אלישמע בר עמיהוד:
emyhwd br alyshme aprym lbny wrba merba lkhylyhwn aprym mshryth Tqs
“On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.

וחיליה ומניניהון ארבעין אלפין וחמש מאה:
mah wkhmsh alpyn arbeyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty thousand five hundred.
20
ודסמיכין עלוהי שבטא דמנשה ורבא לבני מנשה גמליאל בר פדהצור:
pdhtswr br gmlyal mnshh lbny wrba dmnshh shbTa elwhy wdsmykyn
“Next to him shall be the tribe of Manasseh. The prince of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

וחיליה ומניניהון תלתין ותרין אלפין ומאתן:
wmathn alpyn wthryn thlthyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
22
ושבטא דבנימן ורבא לבני בנימן אבידן בר גדעוני:
gdewny br abydn bnymn lbny wrba dbnymn wshbTa
“The tribe of Benjamin: the prince of the children of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.

וחיליה ומניניהון תלתין וחמשא אלפין וארבע מאה:
mah warbe alpyn wkhmsha thlthyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His army, and those who were counted of them, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
24
כל מניניא למשרית אפרים מאה ותמני אלפין ומאה לחיליהון בתליתתא נטלין:
nTlyn bthlyththa lkhylyhwn wmah alpyn wthmny mah aprym lmshryth mnynya kl
“All who were counted of the camp of Ephraim were one hundred eight thousand one hundred, according to their divisions. They shall set out third.

טקס משרית דן צפונא לחיליהון ורבא לבני דן אחיעזר בר עמישדי:
emyshdy br akhyezr dn lbny wrba lkhylyhwn tspwna dn mshryth Tqs
“On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

וחיליה ומניניהון שתין ותרין אלפין ושבע מאה:
mah wshbe alpyn wthryn shthyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
27
ודי שרן סמיכין עלוהי שבטא דאשר ורבא לבני אשר פגעיאל בר עכרן:
ekrn br pgeyal ashr lbny wrba dashr shbTa elwhy smykyn shrn wdy
“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher. The prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran.

וחיליה ומניניהון ארבעין וחד אלפין וחמש מאה:
mah wkhmsh alpyn wkhd arbeyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty-one thousand five hundred.
29
ושבטא דנפתלי ורבא לבני נפתלי אחירע בר עינן:
eynn br akhyre npthly lbny wrba dnpthly wshbTa
“The tribe of Naphtali: the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.
30
וחיליה ומניניהון חמשין ותלתא אלפין וארבע מאה:
mah warbe alpyn wthltha khmshyn wmnynyhwn wkhylyh
His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
31
כל מניניא למשרית דן מאה וחמשין ושבעא אלפין ושית מאה בבתרתא נטלין לטקסיהון:
lTqsyhwn nTlyn bbthrtha mah wshyth alpyn wshbea wkhmshyn mah dn lmshryth mnynya kl
“All who were counted of the camp of Dan were one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They shall set out last by their standards.”

אלין מניני בני ישראל לבית אבהתהון כל מניני משריתא לחיליהון שית מאה ותלתא אלפין וחמש מאה וחמשין:
wkhmshyn mah wkhmsh alpyn wthltha mah shyth lkhylyhwn mshrytha mnyny kl abhthhwn lbyth yshral bny mnyny alyn
These are those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses. All who were counted of the camps according to their armies were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

ולואי לא אתמניאו בגו בני ישראל כמא די פקיד יי ית משה:
mshh yth yy pqyd dy kma yshral bny bgw athmnyaw la wlway
But the Levites were not counted among the children of Israel, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

ועבדו בני ישראל ככל די פקיד יי ית משה כן שרן לטקסיהון וכן נטלין גבר לזרעיתהון על בית אבהתוהי:
abhthwhy byth el lzreythhwn gbr nTlyn wkn lTqsyhwn shrn kn mshh yth yy pqyd dy kkl yshral bny webdw
Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they encamped by their standards, and so they set out, everyone by their families, according to their fathers’ houses.
