ומליל יי עם משה ועם אהרן למימר:

Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

דא גזרת אוריתא די פקיד יי למימר מלל עם בני ישראל ויסבון לך תורתא סמוקתא שלמתא די לית בה מומא די לא סליק עלה נירא:
da gzrth awrytha dy pqyd yy lmymr mll em bny yshral wysbwn lk thwrtha smwqtha shlmtha dy lyth bh mwma dy la slyq elh nyra
“This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded. Tell the children of Israel to bring you a red heifer without spot, in which is no defect, and which was never yoked.

ותתנון יתה לאלעזר כהנא ויפק יתה למברא למשריתא ויכוס יתה קדמוהי:
wththnwn ythh lalezr khna wypq ythh lmbra lmshrytha wykws ythh qdmwhy
You shall give her to Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her outside of the camp, and one shall kill her before his face.

ויסב אלעזר כהנא מדמה באצבעיה וידי לקבל אפי משכן זמנא מדמה שבע זמנין:
wysb alezr khna mdmh batsbeyh wydy lqbl apy mshkn zmna mdmh shbe zmnyn
Eleazar the priest shall take some of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle her blood toward the front of the Tent of Meeting seven times.

ויוקד ית תורתא לעינוהי ית משכה וית בשרה וית דמה על אכלה יוקד:
wywqd yth thwrtha leynwhy yth mshkh wyth bshrh wyth dmh el aklh ywqd
One shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her meat, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn.

ויסב כהנא אעא דארזא ואזובא וצבע זהורי וירמי לגו יקידת תורתא:
wysb khna aea darza wazwba wtsbe zhwry wyrmy lgw yqydth thwrtha
The priest shall take cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the middle of the burning of the heifer.

ויצבע לבושוהי כהנא ויסחי בשריה במיא ובתר כן יעול למשריתא ויהי מסאב כהנא עד רמשא:
wytsbe lbwshwhy khna wyskhy bshryh bmya wbthr kn yewl lmshrytha wyhy msab khna ed rmsha
Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the evening.

ודמוקד יתה יצבע לבושוהי במיא ויסחי בשריה במיא ויהי מסאב עד רמשא:
wdmwqd ythh ytsbe lbwshwhy bmya wyskhy bshryh bmya wyhy msab ed rmsha
He who burns her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the evening.

ויכנוש גבר דכי ית קטמא דתורתא ויצנע למברא למשריתא באתר דכי ותהי לכנשתא דבני ישראל למטרא למי אדיותא חטאתא היא:
wyknwsh gbr dky yth qTma dthwrtha wytsne lmbra lmshrytha bathr dky wthhy lknshtha dbny yshral lmTra lmy adywtha khTatha hya
“A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up outside of the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for use in water for cleansing impurity. It is a sin offering.

ויצבע דכניש ית קטמא דתורתא ית לבושוהי ויהי מסאב עד רמשא ותהי לבני ישראל ולגיוריא דיתגירון ביניהון לקים עלם:
wytsbe dknysh yth qTma dthwrtha yth lbwshwhy wyhy msab ed rmsha wthhy lbny yshral wlgywrya dythgyrwn bynyhwn lqym elm
He who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. It shall be to the children of Israel, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them, for a statute forever.

דיקרב במתא לכל נפשא דאנשא ויהי מסאב שבעא יומין:
dyqrb bmtha lkl npsha dansha wyhy msab shbea ywmyn
“He who touches the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.
12
הוא ידי עלוהי ביומא תליתאה וביומא שביעאה ידכי ואם לא ידי עלוהי ביומא תליתאה וביומא שביעאה לא ידכי:
hwa ydy elwhy bywma thlythah wbywma shbyeah ydky wam la ydy elwhy bywma thlythah wbywma shbyeah la ydky
He shall purify himself with water on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean; but if he doesn’t purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

כל דיקרב במיתא בנפשא דאנשא די ימות ולא ידי עלוהי ית משכנא דיי סאב וישתצי אנשא ההוא מישראל ארי מי אדיותא לא אזדריקו עלוהי מסאב יהי עוד סאובתיה ביה:
kl dyqrb bmytha bnpsha dansha dy ymwth wla ydy elwhy yth mshkna dyy sab wyshthtsy ansha hhwa myshral ary my adywtha la azdryqw elwhy msab yhy ewd sawbthyh byh
Whoever touches a dead person, the body of a man who has died, and doesn’t purify himself, defiles Yahweh’s tabernacle; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel; because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean. His uncleanness is yet on him.

דא אוריתא אנש ארי ימות במשכנא כל דעלל למשכנא וכל די במשכנא יהי מסאב שבעא יומין:
da awrytha ansh ary ymwth bmshkna kl dell lmshkna wkl dy bmshkna yhy msab shbea ywmyn
“This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent, and everyone who is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

וכל מן דחסף פתיח דלית מגופת שייע מקף עלוהי מסאב הוא:
wkl mn dkhsp pthykh dlyth mgwpth shyye mqp elwhy msab hwa
Every open vessel, which has no covering bound on it, is unclean.
16
וכל די יקרב על אפי חקלא בקטל חרבא או במתא או בגרמא דאנשא או בקברא יהי מסאב שבעא יומין:
wkl dy yqrb el apy khqla bqTl khrba aw bmtha aw bgrma dansha aw bqbra yhy msab shbea ywmyn
“Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

ויסבון לדמסאב מעפר יקדת חטאתא ויתנון עלוהי מי מבוע למן:
wysbwn ldmsab mepr yqdth khTatha wythnwn elwhy my mbwe lmn
“For the unclean, they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the sin offering; and running water shall be poured on them in a vessel.

ויסב אזובא ויטבול במיא גבר דכי וידי על משכנא ועל כל מניא ועל נפשתא די הוו תמן ועל דיקרב בגרמא או בקטילא או במיתא או בקברא:
wysb azwba wyTbwl bmya gbr dky wydy el mshkna wel kl mnya wel npshtha dy hww thmn wel dyqrb bgrma aw bqTyla aw bmytha aw bqbra
A clean person shall take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, and on him who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave.

וידי דכיא על מסאבא ביומא תליתאה וביומא שביעאה וידכניה ביומא שביעאה ויצבע לבושוהי ויסחי במיא וידכי ברמשא:
wydy dkya el msaba bywma thlythah wbywma shbyeah wydknyh bywma shbyeah wytsbe lbwshwhy wyskhy bmya wydky brmsha
The clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day. On the seventh day, he shall purify him. He shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at evening.
20
וגבר די יסתאב ולא ידי עלוהי וישתצי אנשא ההוא מגו קהלא ארי ית מקדשא דיי סאיב מי אדיותא לא אזדריקו עלוהי מסאב הוא:
wgbr dy ysthab wla ydy elwhy wyshthtsy ansha hhwa mgw qhla ary yth mqdsha dyy sayb my adywtha la azdryqw elwhy msab hwa
But the man who shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of Yahweh. The water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him. He is unclean.

ותהי להון לקים עלם ודידי מי אדיותא יצבע לבושוהי ודיקרב במי אדיותא יהי מסאב עד רמשא:
wthhy lhwn lqym elm wdydy my adywtha ytsbe lbwshwhy wdyqrb bmy adywtha yhy msab ed rmsha
It shall be a perpetual statute to them. He who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.
22
וכל די יקרב ביה מסאבא יהי מסאב ואנש דיקרב ביה יהי מסאב עד רמשא:
wkl dy yqrb byh msaba yhy msab wansh dyqrb byh yhy msab ed rmsha
“Whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the soul that touches it shall be unclean until evening.”
