ואתפלג קרח בר יצהר בר קהת בר לוי ודתן ואבירם בני אליאב ואון בר פלת בני ראובן:
wathplg qrkh br ytshr br qhth br lwy wdthn wabyrm bny alyab wawn br plth bny rawbn
Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took some men.

וקמו לאפי משה וגבריא מבני ישראל מאתן וחמשין רברבי כנשתא מערעי זמן אנשין דשמא:
wqmw lapy mshh wgbrya mbny yshral mathn wkhmshyn rbrby knshtha merey zmn anshyn dshma
They rose up before Moses, with some of the children of Israel, two hundred fifty princes of the congregation, called to the assembly, men of renown.

ואתכנשו על משה ועל אהרן ואמרו להון סגי לכון ארי כל כנשתא כלהון קדישין וביניהון שריא שכנתא דיי ומא דין אתון מתרברבין על קהלא דיי:
wathknshw el mshh wel ahrn wamrw lhwn sgy lkwn ary kl knshtha klhwn qdyshyn wbynyhwn shrya shkntha dyy wma dyn athwn mthrbrbyn el qhla dyy
They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, “You take too much on yourself, since all the congregation are holy, everyone of them, and Yahweh is among them! Why do you lift yourselves up above Yahweh’s assembly?”

ושמע משה ונפל על אפוהי:
wshme mshh wnpl el apwhy
When Moses heard it, he fell on his face.

ומליל עם קרח ועם כל כנשתיה למימר בצפרא ויהודע יי ית דכשר ליה וית דקדיש ויקרב לקדמוהי וית די יתרעי ביה יקרב לשמושיה:
wmlyl em qrkh wem kl knshthyh lmymr btspra wyhwde yy yth dkshr lyh wyth dqdysh wyqrb lqdmwhy wyth dy ythrey byh yqrb lshmwshyh
He said to Korah and to all his company, “In the morning, Yahweh will show who are his, and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to him. Even him whom he shall choose, he will cause to come near to him.

דא עבידו סבו לכון מחתין קרח וכל כנשתיה:
da ebydw sbw lkwn mkhthyn qrkh wkl knshthyh
Do this: have Korah and all his company take censers,

והבו בהון אשתא ושויו עליהון קטורת בוסמין קדם יי מחר ויהי גברא דיתרעי יי הוא קדיש סגי לכון בני לוי:
whbw bhwn ashtha wshwyw elyhwn qTwrth bwsmyn qdm yy mkhr wyhy gbra dythrey yy hwa qdysh sgy lkwn bny lwy
put fire in them, and put incense on them before Yahweh tomorrow. It shall be that the man whom Yahweh chooses, he shall be holy. You have gone too far, you sons of Levi!”

ואמר משה לקרח שמעו כען בני לוי:
wamr mshh lqrkh shmew ken bny lwy
Moses said to Korah, “Hear now, you sons of Levi!

הזער לכון ארי אפרש אלהא דישראל יתכון מכנשתא דישראל לקרבא יתכון קדמוהי למפלח ית פלחן משכנא דיי ולמקם קדם כנשתא לשמשותהון:
hzer lkwn ary aprsh alha dyshral ythkwn mknshtha dyshral lqrba ythkwn qdmwhy lmplkh yth plkhn mshkna dyy wlmqm qdm knshtha lshmshwthhwn
Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do the service of Yahweh’s tabernacle, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them;

וקרב יתך וית כל אחיך בני לוי עמך וכען אתון בען אף כהנתא רבתא:
wqrb ythk wyth kl akhyk bny lwy emk wken athwn ben ap khntha rbtha
and that he has brought you near, and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you? Do you seek the priesthood also?

בכן את וכל כנשתך דאזדמנתון על יי ואהרן מה הוא ארי אתרעמתון עלוהי:
bkn ath wkl knshthk dazdmnthwn el yy wahrn mh hwa ary athremthwn elwhy
Therefore you and all your company have gathered together against Yahweh! What is Aaron that you complain against him?”

ושלח משה למקרי לדתן ולאבירם בני אליאב ואמרו לא נסק:
wshlkh mshh lmqry ldthn wlabyrm bny alyab wamrw la nsq
Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; and they said, “We won’t come up!

הזער ארי אסקתנא מארעא עבדא חלב ודבש לקטלותנא במדברא ארי אתרברבת עלנא אף אתרברבא:
hzer ary asqthna marea ebda khlb wdbsh lqTlwthna bmdbra ary athrbrbth elna ap athrbrba
Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, but you must also make yourself a prince over us?

ברם לא לארעא עבדא חלב ודבש אעלתנא ויהבתא לנא אחסנת חקלין וכרמין העיני גבריא האנון תשלח לעורא לא נסק:
brm la larea ebda khlb wdbsh aelthna wyhbtha lna akhsnth khqlyn wkrmyn heyny gbrya hanwn thshlkh lewra la nsq
Moreover you haven’t brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you put out the eyes of these men? We won’t come up.”

ותקף למשה לחדא ואמר קדם יי לא תקבל ברעוא קרבנהון לא חמרא דחד מנהון שחרית ולא אבאשית ית חד מנהון:
wthqp lmshh lkhda wamr qdm yy la thqbl brewa qrbnhwn la khmra dkhd mnhwn shkhryth wla abashyth yth khd mnhwn
Moses was very angry, and said to Yahweh, “Don’t respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them.”

ואמר משה לקרח את וכל כנשתך הוו זמינין לקדם יי את ואנון ואהרן מחר:
wamr mshh lqrkh ath wkl knshthk hww zmynyn lqdm yy ath wanwn wahrn mkhr
Moses said to Korah, “You and all your company go before Yahweh, you, and they, and Aaron, tomorrow.

וסבו גבר מחתיתיה ותשוון עליהון קטרת בוסמין ותקרבון קדם יי גבר מחתיתיה מאתן וחמשין מחתין ואת ואהרן גבר מחתיתיה:
wsbw gbr mkhthythyh wthshwwn elyhwn qTrth bwsmyn wthqrbwn qdm yy gbr mkhthythyh mathn wkhmshyn mkhthyn wath wahrn gbr mkhthythyh
Each man take his censer and put incense on it, and each man bring before Yahweh his censer, two hundred fifty censers; you also, and Aaron, each with his censer.”

ונסיבו גבר מחתיתיה ויהבו עליהון אשתא ושויאו עליהון קטרת בוסמין וקמו בתרע משכן זמנא ומשה ואהרן:
wnsybw gbr mkhthythyh wyhbw elyhwn ashtha wshwyaw elyhwn qTrth bwsmyn wqmw bthre mshkn zmna wmshh wahrn
They each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and stood at the door of the Tent of Meeting with Moses and Aaron.

ואכנש עליהון קרח ית כל כנשתא לתרע משכן זמנא ואתגלי יקרא דיי לכל כנשתא:
waknsh elyhwn qrkh yth kl knshtha lthre mshkn zmna wathgly yqra dyy lkl knshtha
Korah assembled all the congregation opposite them to the door of the Tent of Meeting. Yahweh’s glory appeared to all the congregation.

ומליל יי עם משה ועם אהרן למימר:
wmlyl yy em mshh wem ahrn lmymr
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

אתפרשו מגו כנשתא הדא ואשצי יתהון כשעה:
athprshw mgw knshtha hda washtsy ythhwn ksheh
“Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment!”
22
ונפלו על אפיהון ואמרו אל אלהא רוחיא לכל בשרא גברא חד יחוב ועל כל כנשתא יהי רוגזא:
wnplw el apyhwn wamrw al alha rwkhya lkl bshra gbra khd ykhwb wel kl knshtha yhy rwgza
They fell on their faces, and said, “God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?”
24
מלל עם כנשתא למימר אסתלקו מסחור סחור למשכנא דקרח דתן ואבירם:
mll em knshtha lmymr asthlqw mskhwr skhwr lmshkna dqrkh dthn wabyrm
“Speak to the congregation, saying, ‘Get away from around the tent of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram!’”

וקם משה ואזל לות דתן ואבירם ואזלו בתרוהי סבי ישראל:
wqm mshh wazl lwth dthn wabyrm wazlw bthrwhy sby yshral
Moses rose up and went to Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

ומליל עם כנשתא למימר זורו כען מעלוי משכני גבריא חיביא האלין ולא תקרבון בכל די להון דלמא תלקון בכל חוביהון:
wmlyl em knshtha lmymr zwrw ken melwy mshkny gbrya khybya halyn wla thqrbwn bkl dy lhwn dlma thlqwn bkl khwbyhwn
He spoke to the congregation, saying, “Depart, please, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins!”
27
ואסתלקו מעלוי משכנא דקרח דתן ואבירם מסחור סחור ודתן ואבירם נפקו קימין בתרע משכניהון ונשיהון ובניהון וטפלהון:
wasthlqw melwy mshkna dqrkh dthn wabyrm mskhwr skhwr wdthn wabyrm npqw qymyn bthre mshknyhwn wnshyhwn wbnyhwn wTplhwn
So they went away from the tent of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side. Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood at the door of their tents with their wives, their sons, and their little ones.
28
ואמר משה בדא תדעון ארי יי שלחני למעבד ית כל עובדיא האלין ארי לא מרעותי:
wamr mshh bda thdewn ary yy shlkhny lmebd yth kl ewbdya halyn ary la mrewthy
Moses said, “Hereby you shall know that Yahweh has sent me to do all these works; for they are not from my own mind.
29
אם כמותא דכל אנשא ימותון אלין וסערא דכל אנשא יסתער עליהון לא יי שלחני:
am kmwtha dkl ansha ymwthwn alyn wsera dkl ansha ysther elyhwn la yy shlkhny
If these men die the common death of all men, or if they experience what all men experience, then Yahweh hasn’t sent me.
30
ואם בריאה יברי יי ופתחת ארעא ית פומה ובלעת יתהון וית כל די להון ויחתון כד חיין לשאול ותדעון ארי ארגיזו גבריא האלין קדם יי:
wam bryah ybry yy wpthkhth area yth pwmh wbleth ythhwn wyth kl dy lhwn wykhthwn kd khyyn lshawl wthdewn ary argyzw gbrya halyn qdm yy
But if Yahweh makes a new thing, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up with all that belong to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, then you shall understand that these men have despised Yahweh.”
31
והוה כד שצי למללא ית כל פתגמיא האלין ואתבזעת ארעא די תחותיהון:
whwh kd shtsy lmlla yth kl pthgmya halyn wathbzeth area dy thkhwthyhwn
As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split apart.
32
ופתחת ארעא ית פומה ובלעת יתהון וית אנש בתיהון וית כל אנשא די לקרח וית כל קנינא:
wpthkhth area yth pwmh wbleth ythhwn wyth ansh bthyhwn wyth kl ansha dy lqrkh wyth kl qnyna
The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up with their households, all of Korah’s men, and all their goods.
33
ונחתו אנון וכל די להון כד חיין לשאול וחפת עליהון ארעא ואבדו מגו קהלא:
wnkhthw anwn wkl dy lhwn kd khyyn lshawl wkhpth elyhwn area wabdw mgw qhla
So they, and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol. The earth closed on them, and they perished from among the assembly.
34
וכל ישראל די בסחרניהון ערקו לקלהון ארי אמרו דלמא תבלעננא ארעא:
wkl yshral dy bskhrnyhwn erqw lqlhwn ary amrw dlma thblenna area
All Israel that were around them fled at their cry; for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up!”
35
ואשתא נפקת מן קדם יי ואכלת ית מאתן וחמשין גברא מקרבי קטרת בוסמיא:
washtha npqth mn qdm yy waklth yth mathn wkhmshyn gbra mqrby qTrth bwsmya
Fire came out from Yahweh, and devoured the two hundred fifty men who offered the incense.
