ומללת מרים ואהרן במשה על עסק אתתא שפרתא די נסיב ארי אתתא שפרתא דנסיב רחיק:
wmllth mrym wahrn bmshh el esq aththa shprtha dy nsyb ary aththa shprtha dnsyb rkhyq
Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.

ואמרו הלחוד ברם במשה מליל יי הלא אף עמנא מליל ושמיע קדם יי:
wamrw hlkhwd brm bmshh mlyl yy hla ap emna mlyl wshmye qdm yy
They said, “Has Yahweh indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn’t he spoken also with us?” And Yahweh heard it.

וגברא משה ענותן לחדא מכל אנשא די על אפי ארעא:
wgbra mshh enwthn lkhda mkl ansha dy el apy area
Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth.

ואמר יי בתכף למשה ולאהרן ולמרים פוקו תלתיכון למשכן זמנא ונפקו תלתיהון:
wamr yy bthkp lmshh wlahrn wlmrym pwqw thlthykwn lmshkn zmna wnpqw thlthyhwn
Yahweh spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, “You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!” The three of them came out.

ואתגלי יי בעמודא דעננא וקם בתרע משכנא וקרא אהרן ומרים ונפקו תרויהון:
wathgly yy bemwda denna wqm bthre mshkna wqra ahrn wmrym wnpqw thrwyhwn
Yahweh came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward.

ואמר שמעו כען פתגמי אם יהון לכון נביאין אנא יי בחזין אנא מתגלי להון בחלמין אנא ממלל עמהון:
wamr shmew ken pthgmy am yhwn lkwn nbyayn ana yy bkhzyn ana mthgly lhwn bkhlmyn ana mmll emhwn
He said, “Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.

לא כן עבדי משה בכל ביתי מהימן הוא:
la kn ebdy mshh bkl bythy mhymn hwa
My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.

ממלל עם ממלל מללנא עמיה בחזו ולא בחדון ודמות יקרא דיי מסתכל ומא דין לא דחלתון למללא בעבדי במשה:
mmll em mmll mllna emyh bkhzw wla bkhdwn wdmwth yqra dyy msthkl wma dyn la dkhlthwn lmlla bebdy bmshh
With him, I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see Yahweh’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”

ותקיף רגזא דיי בהון ואסתלק:
wthqyp rgza dyy bhwn wasthlq
Yahweh’s anger burned against them; and he departed.

ועננא אסתלק מעלוי משכנא והא מרים חורא כתלגא ואתפני אהרן לות מרים והא סגירת:
wenna asthlq melwy mshkna wha mrym khwra kthlga wathpny ahrn lwth mrym wha sgyrth
The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.

ואמר אהרן למשה בבעו רבוני לא כען תשוי עלנא חובא דאטפשנא ודי סרחנא:
wamr ahrn lmshh bbew rbwny la ken thshwy elna khwba daTpshna wdy srkhna
Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.

לא כען תתרחק דא מביננא ארי אחתנא היא צלי כען על בסרא מיתא הדין די בה ויתסי:
la ken ththrkhq da mbynna ary akhthna hya tsly ken el bsra mytha hdyn dy bh wythsy
Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”

וצלי משה קדם יי למימר אלהא בבעו אסי כען יתה:
wtsly mshh qdm yy lmymr alha bbew asy ken ythh
Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, “Heal her, God, I beg you!”

ואמר יי למשה ואלו אבוהה מנזף נזיף בה הלא תתכלם שבעא יומין תסתגר שבעא יומין מברא למשריתא ובתר כן תתכנש:
wamr yy lmshh walw abwhh mnzp nzyp bh hla ththklm shbea ywmyn thsthgr shbea ywmyn mbra lmshrytha wbthr kn ththknsh
Yahweh said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn’t she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.”

ואסתגרת מרים מברא למשריתא שבעא יומין ועמא לא נטל עד דאתכנשת מרים:
wasthgrth mrym mbra lmshrytha shbea ywmyn wema la nTl ed dathknshth mrym
Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people didn’t travel until Miriam was brought in again.

ובתר כן נטלו עמא מחצרות ושרו במדברא דפארן:
wbthr kn nTlw ema mkhtsrwth wshrw bmdbra dparn
Afterward the people traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
