עביד לך תרתין חצוצרן דכסף נגיד תעבד יתהון ויהוין לך לערעא כנשתא ולאטלא ית משריתא:
mshrytha yth wlaTla knshtha lerea lk wyhwyn ythhwn thebd ngyd dksp khtswtsrn thrthyn lk ebyd
“Make two trumpets of silver. You shall make them of beaten work. You shall use them for the calling of the congregation and for the journeying of the camps.

ויתקעון בהן ויזדמנון לותך כל כנשתא לתרע משכן זמנא:
zmna mshkn lthre knshtha kl lwthk wyzdmnwn bhn wythqewn
When they blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

ואם בחדא יתקעון ויזדמנון לותך רברביא רישי אלפיא דישראל:
dyshral alpya ryshy rbrbya lwthk wyzdmnwn ythqewn bkhda wam
If they blow just one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.

ותתקעון יבבתא ויטלון משריתא דשרן קדומא:
qdwma dshrn mshrytha wyTlwn ybbtha wththqewn
When you blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward.

ותתקעון יבבתא תנינות ויטלון משריתא דשרן דרומא יבבא יתקעון למטלניהון:
lmTlnyhwn ythqewn ybba drwma dshrn mshrytha wyTlwn thnynwth ybbtha wththqewn
When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall go forward. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

ובמכנש ית קהלא תתקעון ולא תיבבון:
thybbwn wla ththqewn qhla yth wbmknsh
But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.

ובני אהרן כהניא יתקעון בחצוצרתא ויהוין לכון לקים עלם לדריכון:
ldrykwn elm lqym lkwn wyhwyn bkhtswtsrtha ythqewn khnya ahrn wbny
“The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. This shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations.

וארי תעלון לאגחא קרבא בארעכון על מעיקי דמעיקין לכון ותיבבון בחצוצרתא וייעול דוכרניכון לטבא קדם יי אלהכון ותתפרקון מסנאיכון:
msnaykwn wththprqwn alhkwn yy qdm lTba dwkrnykwn wyyewl bkhtswtsrtha wthybbwn lkwn dmeyqyn meyqy el barekwn qrba lagkha thelwn wary
When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

וביום חדותכון ובמועדיכון וברישי ירחיכון ותתקעון בחצוצרתא על עלותכון ועל נכסת קודשיכון ויהוין לכון לדוכרנא קדם אלהכון אנא יי אלהכון:
alhkwn yy ana alhkwn qdm ldwkrna lkwn wyhwyn qwdshykwn nksth wel elwthkwn el bkhtswtsrtha wththqewn yrkhykwn wbryshy wbmwedykwn khdwthkwn wbywm
“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God. I am Yahweh your God.”

והוה בשתא תניתא בירחא תנינא בעשרין לירחא אסתלק עננא מעלוי משכנא דסהדותא:
dshdwtha mshkna melwy enna asthlq lyrkha beshryn thnyna byrkha thnytha bshtha whwh
In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the covenant.

ונטלו בני ישראל למטלניהון ממדברא דסיני ושרא עננא במדברא דפארן:
dparn bmdbra enna wshra dsyny mmdbra lmTlnyhwn yshral bny wnTlw
The children of Israel went forward on their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud stayed in the wilderness of Paran.

ונטלו בקדמיתא על מימרא דיי בידא דמשה:
dmshh byda dyy mymra el bqdmytha wnTlw
They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

ונטל טקס משרית בני יהודה בקדמיתא לחיליהון ועל חיליה נחשון בר עמינדב:
emyndb br nkhshwn khylyh wel lkhylyhwn bqdmytha yhwdh bny mshryth Tqs wnTl
First, the standard of the camp of the children of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני יששכר נתנאל בר צוער:
tswer br nthnal yshshkr dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Nethanel the son of Zuar was over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar.
16
ועל חילא דשבטא דבני זבולן אליאב בר חלון:
khlwn br alyab zbwln dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Eliab the son of Helon was over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun.
17
ומתפרק משכנא ונטלין בני גרשון ובני מררי נטלי משכנא:
mshkna nTly mrry wbny grshwn bny wnTlyn mshkna wmthprq
The tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, went forward.

ונטל טקס משרית ראובן לחיליהון ועל חיליה אליצור בר שדיאור:
shdyawr br alytswr khylyh wel lkhylyhwn rawbn mshryth Tqs wnTl
The standard of the camp of Reuben went forward according to their armies. Elizur the son of Shedeur was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני שמעון שלמיאל בר צורישדי:
tswryshdy br shlmyal shmewn dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon.
20
ועל חילא דשבטא דבני גד אליסף בר דעואל:
dewal br alysp gd dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the army of the tribe of the children of Gad.
21
ונטלין בני קהת נטלי מקדשא ומקימין ית משכנא עד מיתיהון:
mythyhwn ed mshkna yth wmqymyn mqdsha nTly qhth bny wnTlyn
The Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary. The others set up the tabernacle before they arrived.

ונטל טקס משרית בני אפרים לחיליהון ועל חיליה אלישמע בר עמיהוד:
emyhwd br alyshme khylyh wel lkhylyhwn aprym bny mshryth Tqs wnTl
The standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies. Elishama the son of Ammihud was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני מנשה גמליאל בר פדהצור:
pdhtswr br gmlyal mnshh dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur was over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh.
24
ועל חילא דשבטא דבני בנימן אבידן בר גדעוני:
gdewny br abydn bnymn dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Abidan the son of Gideoni was over the army of the tribe of the children of Benjamin.

ונטל טקס משרית בני דן מכניש לכל משריתא לחיליהון ועל חיליה אחיעזר בר עמישדי:
emyshdy br akhyezr khylyh wel lkhylyhwn mshrytha lkl mknysh dn bny mshryth Tqs wnTl
The standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rear guard of all the camps, set forward according to their armies. Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני אשר פגעיאל בר עכרן:
ekrn br pgeyal ashr dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Pagiel the son of Ochran was over the army of the tribe of the children of Asher.
27
ועל חילא דשבטא דבני נפתלי אחירע בר עינן:
eynn br akhyre npthly dbny dshbTa khyla wel
Ahira the son of Enan was over the army of the tribe of the children of Naphtali.
28
אלין מטלני בני ישראל לחיליהון ונטלו:
wnTlw lkhylyhwn yshral bny mTlny alyn
Thus were the travels of the children of Israel according to their armies; and they went forward.

ואמר משה לחבב בר רעואל מדינאה חמוהי דמשה נטלין אנחנא לאתרא די אמר יי יתיה אתן לכון איתא עמנא ונוטיב לך ארי יי מליל לאיתאה טבא על ישראל:
yshral el Tba laythah mlyl yy ary lk wnwTyb emna aytha lkwn athn ythyh yy amr dy lathra ankhna nTlyn dmshh khmwhy mdynah rewal br lkhbb mshh wamr
Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”

ואמר ליה לא אזל אלהן לארעי ולילדותי אזל:
azl wlyldwthy larey alhn azl la lyh wamr
He said to him, “I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”
31
ואמר לא כען תשבוק יתנא ארי על כן ידעת כד הוינא שרן במדברא וגבורן דאתעבידן לנא חזיתא בעיניך:
beynyk khzytha lna dathebydn wgbwrn bmdbra shrn hwyna kd ydeth kn el ary ythna thshbwq ken la wamr
Moses said, “Don’t leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.

ויהי ארי תזל עמנא ויהי טבא ההוא די יוטיב יי עמנא ונוטיב לך:
lk wnwTyb emna yy ywTyb dy hhwa Tba wyhy emna thzl ary wyhy
It shall be, if you go with us—yes, it shall be—that whatever good Yahweh does to us, we will do the same to you.”

ונטלו מטורא דאתגלי עלוהי יקרא דיי מהלך תלתא יומין וארון קימא דיי נטל קדמיהון מהלך תלתא יומין לאתקנאה להון אתר בית מישרי:
myshry byth athr lhwn lathqnah ywmyn thltha mhlk qdmyhwn nTl dyy qyma warwn ywmyn thltha mhlk dyy yqra elwhy dathgly mTwra wnTlw
They set forward from the Mount of Yahweh three days’ journey. The ark of Yahweh’s covenant went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.

וענן יקרא דיי מטיל עליהון ביממא במטלהון מן משריתא:
mshrytha mn bmTlhwn bymma elyhwn mTyl dyy yqra wenn
The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.
35
והוה במטל ארונא ואמר משה אתגלי יי ויתבדרון סנאיך ויערקון בעלי דבבך מן קדמך:
qdmk mn dbbk bely wyerqwn snayk wythbdrwn yy athgly mshh wamr arwna bmTl whwh
When the ark went forward, Moses said, “Rise up, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”
